What do you dislike about Remote?
The biggest pain point for me is definitely customer support. When you run into a weird edge case—like a country-specific tax nuance or a localized benefits question—it often takes several days of back-and-forth ticket ping-pong before you finally get connected with an actual local labor specialist.
Another drawback is their deposit policy. Remote requires a hefty upfront security deposit (usually 1–2 months of employee salary and taxes) for every EOR hire, which can tie up a lot of cash flow. And while onboarding is generally smooth, offboarding is surprisingly rigid and slow because of local legal red tape. That makes terminations or last-minute contract adjustments far more bureaucratic than they should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Recommendations to others considering Remote:
To improve the experience, I would recommend enhancing the customer support system to ensure quicker access to local labor specialists. Implementing a more flexible deposit policy could also alleviate cash flow concerns for businesses.
Additionally, streamlining the offboarding process to reduce bureaucratic delays would be beneficial. Providing more localized resources and training for handling country-specific issues could further enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Remote solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote solves a massive headache for us: hiring full-time talent globally without spending months—and tens of thousands of dollars—setting up legal entities in every country.
Before using Remote, we either had to rely on risky contractor workarounds or try to navigate complex local labor laws on our own. Now, Remote serves as the legal Employer of Record, handling local tax withholdings, mandatory statutory benefits, and multi-currency payroll automatically.
The biggest benefit is the combination of speed and compliance peace of mind. We can recruit top talent anywhere in the world and have them legally working within days, while managing global contracts, invoices, and expenses from a single, centralized dashboard.
