I really appreciate how Remote has enabled us to hire overseas without any additional admin burden, making it easy to engage quickly with individuals overseas. It keeps everything in place and provides a clean environment to manage employees efficiently. The onboarding process is really easy and smooth, especially when adding specific contractual elements. It's great that Remote integrates well with our HRIS HiBOB, improving the overall experience for EORs and UK-based managers and employees, making EORs feel more like a part of the wider team. It will often regurgitate information that is stored on your sort of help site, which is fine, but actually, you know, more often than not, I do need to speak to a person. So we get there in the end, but it's not as quick as I would probably like it to be. We've also had some payment issues which seen to be localised to one area. I think the support team at Remote is excellent. The platform is very strong on tax compliance and provides multiple payment options. I also like how straightforward the invoicing features are, especially when it comes to logging and marking time or overtime, which makes it easier for my salary to be paid on a monthly basis. I also don’t like that there isn’t a more advanced option for contractors. On top of that, there seems to be less loyalty or fewer perks than with other companies or platforms that offer more discounts and a wider variety of options. Remote helps me get paid, stay tax-compliant, and receive my pay regularly into my international account. What do you dislike about Remote? They invited me with the offer, "Earn $25 for Sharing Your Feedback about Remote on G2.com." I submitted my honest feedback based on that promise. However, after completing the review, I never received the promised $25 reward. Instead of attracting people with financial incentives and then failing to deliver, they should build a system that encourages users to leave genuine feedback voluntarily. Compliance checks that are done during onboarding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Remote? Billing and support have been a real pain point for me. To send an agreement to an employee, we first have to make a reserve payment, but the Remote system and Finance team can take many days to recognise it. As a result, every time we onboard someone, we end up having to contact the support team, share proof of payment, and only then will they send out the agreement. It’s a frustrating process and adds unnecessary back-and-forth. On top of that, many of the Remote support teams close tickets before they’ve really tried to understand the issue. I like that Remote enables me to work from Spain and simplifies the process of administrating employment matters by unifying everything into one platform. It lets me manage local regulations, leave requests, time sheeting, and more, all in one place. Setting up Remote was also really easy for me, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Remote? I find that Remote can be quite slow and error-prone. Recently, I was trying to update timesheets, and it took me a really long time because the timesheets took forever to load. I couldn't batch approve them and I keep getting errors. I've seen that a couple of times on the platform where things won't load or there's errors when I'm trying to do things. Also, there's no clear way to make support requests other than through mandated things. If you have a more general request, there doesn't seem to be a way to do it through the platform. It seems like you have to email separately off the platform, which I don't really understand since the whole point is to have everything in this platform. When I was applying for my maternity leave, it all ended up being through email anyway. I didn't really like that; I felt like, what was the point of having the platform? I appreciate Remote for its easy access and that everything is well documented. The process and the UI of the product are good, which helped us during the install. If you have questions for, let's say, the payroll department, you first have to go to the AI bot, then connect with an agent. Then the agent will take another 24 to 48 hours to connect with the relevant department. So even for a simple issue, it takes three days to resolve, which is kind of high. I like that Remote is aware of local laws in the countries we want to employ within. What do you dislike about Remote? It can be very slow to onboard and generate offer letters. There have been times where I've also waited over a week for replies from support. Sometimes there are unclear answers on how local laws apply to us in our specific instances. Applying additional payments like maternity leave can be strenuous and complicated, even when speaking to agents. I don't get direct access to payroll representatives.
