I find Plane’s interface simple, and I like that it’s secure and automatically makes transactions smooth. It has streamlined the forex markup and delayed-payment issues I had because of the nature of my work. When I entered information by mistake or wanted to change my banking details, it was very difficult to edit or update my information. I’d like an option that makes changes easy but still secure, such as a contact person or email address, or a chatbot-guided process. I believe what I like most is the simplicity of the information in the user area on Plane's website and the excellent support and service. When I had problems with the Brazilian bank indicated to receive the amount, Plane gave me a quick response, made themselves available, and followed the entire process, even contacting to check the status of the refund. I really appreciate the platform's clean interface, which makes it simple to add information. The customer support team is also very responsive, which adds to the overall positive experience. The portal keeps everything organized, so tracking payments and invoices is simple. Implementing it was very easy as well. It could use more integrations with apps. I had one of the best experiences with Plane due to their personalized customer service. It's refreshing that you aren't dealing with automated responses. Real people communicated via email and even took the initiative to contact me after receiving the payment to confirm everything. Their response time was quick, which significantly lowered my uncertainty about the payment process, especially since it was my first time receiving a payment from them. Plane feels like a smooth platform for quick, easy transactions. I use it to receive my monthly pay and apply for time off. Applying for leave is easy, and it notifies my manager right away. I can keep track of my leave, look at past paychecks and my upcoming paycheck, and check whether I was paid the right amount for my work hours. I find Plane user-friendly, convenient, multifunctional, and easy to use. Setting up my account took about two to three minutes, and I didn’t need assistance. Timing is the main friction. Plane tells you a payment is on its way, but not when it will actually land. Across five payments the gap between the initiation notice and the money arriving in my account in PKR ran between two and five days, and there is no estimated arrival date anywhere in the product. I suspect most of that is correspondent banking on the Pakistan side rather than Plane itself, but Plane is the only interface I have as a contractor, so it is where I would want that visibility. Even a rough expected-by date on the payment would remove the guesswork.

I also cannot speak to integrations. Everything I did ran through the Plane interface directly, so if there is an accounting or invoicing tie-in on the employer side, I never touched it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the ease and practicality of receiving payments with Plane. Additionally, I feel secure sharing my data when receiving payments in USD, which gives me peace of mind. Also, after overcoming the initial complexity of adding the US account, everything has been perfect. All of this together makes me definitely recommend Plane, I give it a 10. The delivery time to my country usually takes up to 3 business days, and if it coincides with the weekend, it can take even longer. The UI is dated and not user friendly. There should be a better system to give access to certain members and admins. It's all or nothing kind of system which no longer works in 2026. The access should be customizable for each role which should be set by an admin. The payroll section specifically. The team onboarding process for contractors also leaves room for improvement. It's being set as a task to manually enter from an admin side their hourly rate. They are contractors. It should not be mandatory to enter this. There should be ways to pre set certain settings for onboarding on the admin plane side. Generally there is room to improve the customizable aspect of the UI in general. I like that Plane is simple and works as if I were a regular employee, including getting a T4. It helps me avoid setting up a company and dealing with international business and complicated taxes.
