I will say I like how active they've been in fighting for innovation / regulatory rights for the entire industry against the SEC lately. They also made my "onboarding" into crypto pretty seamless, I'm not sure if they still offer the "learn & earn" model they did a while back but that helped a lot. **What do you dislike about Coinbase Exchange?** A major aspect of the exchange I don't like is that they behave(d) as a custodial wallet AND exchange until recently. I believe they have a separate wallet app that acts as a non-custodial wallet now. However this doesn't dismiss that their fee structure is pretty ridiculous, and they do have a history of having "server issues" during the most convenient times. IE/ when BTC was at $67,000 a few years back the exchange was giving error notices to myself and many others who were trying to sell our holdings at the time. Magically there was no issue buying at that price however it took quite a price downturn before their servers decided to go back online and allow us to sell. **What problems is Coinbase Exchange solving and how is that benefiting you?** Personally after discovering newer options it doesn't 'solve or benefit' myself directly - however as mentioned due to its slick UI and ease of use im not complaining it's available to new users. Specifically, I made a wire transfer to Coinbase on 1/8/20. Coinbase has never verified or confirmed receipt of funds. This is my second letter to your office to resolve this issue. Despite Coinbase's receipt of wired funds, my portfolio still shows a $0 balance. Coinbase continues to send me emails asking to choose a method of payment despite having already received wired funds to my account. Where is my money? From the time funds were transferred to Coinbase I have lost money on the trades/purchases I had intended to make upon Coinbase's receipt of funds to my account. Where is your response? This level of customer service from a licensed broker-dealer is disgraceful. What happened to me specifically (as well as many others) is as follows: After making a few purchases with my debit card for some different coins & tokens, Coinbase says my account has been restricted from trading due to security purposes (which they will never disclose). I verified my account twice on two separate occasions within my short time using CB. Even after the ridiculous request for me to take a selfie holding a piece of paper saying “For Coinbase Trading & the date” and receiving 2 emails from CB saying my account has been verified, they locked it. I sent a support request to no avail. I called CB and waited an hour and a half for someone to answer just to tell me they’re “security team” has to “look into it”. I sent a second support request through their site. “We’re not able to provide specific details about our security features or our account reviews.” -CB Was the answer I received when I asked why my account had been restricted after multiple confirmed verifications. I then asked how long it would take to review and was told they could not provide a time frame. I’ve read that some people have had accounts locked for months or even closed losing their full investment. Coinbase will not let me transfer any crypto to a wallet or let me cash out what I have in there. The same applies if you try to withdraw your money to another wallet. That's illegal. **What problems is Coinbase Exchange solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. They are trying to become a bank for your crypto. ### 50. It's easy to see a summary of my assets, opportunities to learn and earn cryptocurrency, as well as trade. **What do you dislike about Coinbase Exchange?** I dislike the fee that is associated with purchasing cryptocurrency, but I guess that's how it is. **What problems is Coinbase Exchange solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coinbase is a way I maintain my crytowallet, learn about new cryptocurrencies and earn a little at the same time. I am able to see a summary and balance of my assets and the current value/prices.
