Drivetrain is the FP&A solution that actually empowers finance professionals. The platform offers comprehensive financial management, encompassing budgeting and forecasting, as well as financial planning and analysis (FP&A). The platform connects directly to our source systems, which means we spend far less time pulling data and more time analyzing it. I also appreciate the real-time dashboards and reporting, as well as the ability to quickly run what-if scenarios across budget, forecast, headcount, cash flow, and revenue planning. One aspect I find lacking in Drivetrain is the limited ability to customize report branding during export. For instance, it's not possible to add our company logo to the report's cover page. I also wish there were more options for global color customization—specifically, the option to set a company color palette or brand theme so that all charts would automatically use those colors by default. Consistent brand colors are crucial for many organizations, not only for maintaining a professional appearance but also to avoid resembling competitors too closely. There’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Because the platform is highly customisable, it takes some time to understand the different workflows and set everything up the way you want. Drivetrain is intuitive, easy to use and very flexible. Support is amazing, change requests are handled efficiently and the team is ready to implement solutions for special requests. Connection of data sources is very simple. From sales to proof of concept and through implementation, the folks at Drivetrain provided outstanding support and education. It was one of the best implementations I've experienced with any vendor. I was also impressed by how quickly we were able to start generating valuable financial reporting in a far more digestible & customizable format than QuickBooks offers us. The product is evolving quickly (in a good way), so prepare to be continuously learning to get the most out of it. Folks coming from Excel may encounter a learning curve with the modeling interface, and while you can absolutely keep using Excel with their data importing features, I highly recommend building natively in the platform to take full advantage of it. Once your drivetrain model is built, it is incredibly easy to maintain and use. The customer support team has been incredible and made implementation a breeze. The product itself is super comprehensive and allows us to see executive dashboards and wow investors with our forecasting and scenario building. The product roadmap is also super exciting.
