  ### 1. Clear Subscription Insights, but Occasional Recurly Integration Data Issues

**What do you like best about ChartMogul?**

What I like best about ChartMogul is that it gives us a clear overview of how our subscriptions are performing. We have been using it for a few years, mainly connected with Recurly, and it helps us understand subscription trends, deal performance, and revenue-related changes in one place.

The Recurly integration has been especially useful for us because it lets us bring subscription data into ChartMogul without much friction. We also use the Slack integration to get notified about new subscriptions and changes, which helps keep the relevant teams informed without needing to manually check the dashboard all the time.

From a UI and UX perspective, ChartMogul is fairly easy to use. The core dashboards are understandable, and it is easy to get a quick sense of what is happening without needing a lot of setup or training.

Performance has also been solid for our use case. We have not noticed any major issues while using it.

**What do you dislike about ChartMogul?**

What I dislike about ChartMogul is that we have had some occasional issues with the Recurly integration. In a few cases, subscriptions were picked up as cancelled even though they were not actually cancelled, which meant we had to manually investigate and correct the data.

This was not a constant problem, but it did create some friction because we rely on ChartMogul as an overview of subscription performance. When the data is not fully accurate, it adds extra manual work and makes it harder to trust the dashboard at a glance.

Overall, the product works well for us, but the reliability of the integration data could be improved.

**What problems is ChartMogul solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChartMogul helps us understand how our subscription business is performing without having to manually piece together data from different systems.

For us, the main value is that it gives us a clear overview of subscription performance, revenue trends, new subscriptions, cancellations, and changes over time. Since we have it connected with Recurly, we can use ChartMogul as a central place to monitor how subscriptions and deals are developing.

It also benefits us by making subscription-related updates more visible internally. With the Slack integration, relevant changes can be shared automatically, so teams do not always need to check the dashboard manually.

Overall, ChartMogul helps us save time, improve visibility, and make it easier to track the health of our subscription business.

**What do you like best about ChartMogul?**

It's quite intuitive, it was easy to start using it without much training

**What do you dislike about ChartMogul?**

Sometimes Atlassian Marketplace transactions are mistakenly displayed as contractions/churn when the actual account MRR movement is positive, I need to do monthly manual checks to make sure we have accurate numbers.

Keeping all the transactions in one place, Churn reporting

The past data is always subject to change, it is not possible to "lock" them
It is not possible to unmerge accounts
Integrations take a lot of time to run (sometimes more than 1 hour)

It makes easier for everyone on the company keep track with our main goal.

**What do you like best about ChartMogul?**

I like the updates / notfications that you can automate to your email - specifically new account activations that include all the info I'm looking for. When we have a new customer sign up for our subscription or change their subscription, we immediately get updated on what the product was, what the amount was, if it was on a monthly or yearly recurring basis, the customers identifying details, etc.

**What do you dislike about ChartMogul?**

I don't use it in-depth enough to have discovered any dislikes at this point - it works perfectly for simple payment and new signup notifications + reviewing key metrics of the business regarding MRR, Run Rates, Churn Rates, Lifetimes Values, Etc.

**Recommendations to others considering ChartMogul:**

Probably not the first tool you need to start your subscription-based SaaS business, but an excellent platform for tracking MRR and customer trends while scaling and beyond.

**What problems is ChartMogul solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it to track MRR and all the other metrics that lead to increasing MRR. More importantly, we're using it to track trends within that information. It will show quick updates on expansion & contraction numbers that you can filter for a specific period of time very quickly. Just one example of the neat displays you can set up to view data on your dashboard.

**What do you like best about ChartMogul?**

I can see the entire subscription data in it. I can also turn on email notifications whenever someone churns, upgrade, or downgrade their account. There are tags I can create to customize my converted deals list.

**What do you dislike about ChartMogul?**

Sometimes they have issues sinking with the actual pricing with Stripe. There is a scope of improving the user interface of the application. Other than that, I don't see a major dislike in functionalities.

**What problems is ChartMogul solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to reach out to our customers efficiently because of the real time data from ChartMogul. Like I said I use this platform to cross sell and upsell to our customers. And also encourage them to go for annual plan upgrades.

The ability to visualise all your important data, analyze and drill down where needed in an intuitive interface is beyond awesome

The mobile app (i use android) is very basic.

Great overview of my monthly recurring revenue, including new business and churn on a monthly basis

Not as easy as I wish to export details and easily get emails of clients

This makes financial analysis and trends very easy to see.

**What do you like best about ChartMogul?**

Super easy to connect your Stripe account and get your data up and reporting. Great options for Recurring Revenue business models on reporting and insights. 

**What do you dislike about ChartMogul?**

Could be some customization on the reporting, would be great if I could define a few additional details in what I want to report and have charts according to those. Tough to have accurate churn reporting with a freemium product. 

**Recommendations to others considering ChartMogul:**

Would definitely check it out and see how it meets your requirements. For such an easy set up you can take a few months to see how it benefits your analysis of your revenue. Worth the investment unless you're going to go for something super custom.

Managing revenue growth, determining sales goals, managing cohort analysis, managing churn

Their support team is really helpful and their response times are the best. They are evolving quickly, being innovative and deploying new features,

They don't handle partial refunds and they don't handle very well refunds through their Google Sheet App.

Need for business metrics/insights. They enable companies to have an overview regarding business growth.

Simplicity of the interface, and being able to segment by plan.

I wish there were better ways to calculate LTV and churn calculations.

the ability to link multiple accounts has been amazing!

We're had some trouble with the API, not as customizable as I'd like.

Perfect for small organizations for businesses with admins who aren't "numbers people". The design of ChartMogul makes it pretty idiot proff.

We're identifying average dollar patterns and working to correct our down days. We've realized when and where to make changes for our customers
