"Campfire: Powerful, Easy-to-Use ERP with Exceptional Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

What I like most about Campfire is its combination of powerful functionality, ease of use, and exceptional customer support. As a large manufacturing company processing approximately 25,000 transactions per quarter, we need an ERP platform that can efficiently handle high transaction volumes and complex accounting workflows. Campfire consistently delivers without sacrificing speed or performance.

The platform’s native AI capabilities have helped streamline our month-end close, while its seamless integrations and highly customizable financial reporting tools provide flexibility that we have found superior to other ERP solutions.

What truly sets Campfire apart, however, is the team behind the product. As an early customer, we have developed a strong working relationship with their team, who are consistently responsive to feedback, proactive in introducing new features, and committed to improving the user experience. It’s refreshing to work with an ERP provider that not only delivers a great product but also genuinely invests in its customers’ success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

While Campfire excels in core accounting, financial reporting, and overall usability, there is still room for improvement in supporting the more complex operational needs of a manufacturing business. As a company with significant inventory activity and complex production processes, we would like to see a more robust inventory management module with deeper functionality around inventory tracking, costing, and manufacturing workflows.

Although Campfire handles our financial operations exceptionally well, expanding its manufacturing-specific capabilities would help make it a more comprehensive ERP solution for companies like ours. That said, the Campfire team has consistently demonstrated a willingness to listen to customer feedback and improve the platform, so we are optimistic about its continued development. "Best-in-Class API and Documentation with Strong Performance and UI/UX"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

Campfire has one of the best public APIs available, backed by great documentation that makes integrating with niche apps and payment processors remarkably easy. Because the API has been public since day one, tools like Claude Code already understand it out of the box.

We also rely on Ember AI as an internal auditor to review thousands of monthly transactions, quickly flagging inconsistencies, pending transactions, and incorrectly tagged entries. Additionally, it prepares comprehensive workpapers directly for our auditors and external tax team.

The overall performance is also very good and it comes with a good UI/UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful GL Automation, but Sync Can Undo Coding"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

I like that Campfire’s API is real and usable. I can query and update GL transactions through one clean API, pull the categorized GL lines and fields I need, and correct coding through the same interface. The programmatic coding corrections work cleanly, and the clean COA and cost-center structure works alongside our Ramp spend data as the downstream ledger. I can build month-end transaction reviews, GL coding cleanup, weekly cash forecasting, and Ramp-to-GL reconciliation on a single source of truth. That makes the work scriptable and repeatable instead of hundreds of manual clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

I don't like that the Ramp-to-Campfire sync can overwrite my coding. Lines from Ramp are flagged as auto-created, and a correction I make in Campfire can be nullified by the next sync. A field-level lock or manual-override flag that the sync respects might fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great API and Ember AI, with Excellent Support and Strong Value"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

The API functionality and Ember, their built-in AI tool, have been great. The support team was excellent and helped us get integrated smoothly. The platform has a clean, simple design, runs well, and offers amazing value for the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

It’s still a relatively new piece of software, so they’re still shifting features around and adding functionality. Because of that, it can be hard to keep track of where things are located in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basic, Easy-to-Navigate UI with Helpful Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

Its UI is basic and easy to navigate. When we’re looking up vendors, JEs, etc., the navigation stays straightforward, and it includes a lot of automation features that make the process simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

It’s very bare-bones right now, and I’d really like to see it look a bit nicer, more polished, and more professional overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Interface, Helpful Transition Team, fit for a start-up and growing teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

The Campfire's interface is easy to navigate and to understand even for newbies to the system. They offer a lot of good features especially the use of AI to automate simple tasks that can make our day-to-day to asks easier. During the implementation stage, the team has been really helpful and assistive to our concerns. Our tools integrated easily with Campfire as they have built-in integrations available. Overall, the system is performing well and we experience little to no downtime at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

So far, the only downside we’ve encountered is the lack of integration with Tabs, our AR and Revenue Recognition tool. It would be much better if this integration were available sooner, so we can automate the recording of our invoices, payments, and revenue entries as they sync automatically with Campfire. "Interactive EmberAI Insights and a Month-End Close Checklist That Keeps Us on Track"
4/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

I really appreciate Campfire’s interactive features, especially being able to ask EmberAI questions about the balance sheet and P&L and then get insightful, genuinely useful analysis in return. The month-end close checklist has also been a valuable tool, making it easy to track, organize, and stay on top of all our monthly entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

Sometimes it takes a little while for the balance sheet and income statement to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Workflows and Fast Insights with Campfire’s API and Ember AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

Campfire offers a much more cost-effective alternative to competing accounting platforms. With Campfire’s built-in API, integrating source apps and setting up automated workflows is seamless. Campfire’s user-friendly interface makes navigation seamless. Importing CSV accounting transactions is equally efficient, featuring drag-and-drop support for multi-period journal entries to save you time. With Ember AI, you can easily query your data and get immediate answers. Implementation support was very helpful in addressing our questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

When entering inputs into certain fields or tags, the dropdown menu often fails to appear immediately. The delay in loading suggestions creates a frustrating lag in the user experience. The Wells Fargo feed most of the time drops transactions like sweep credits and interest, while the Rippling integration incorrectly maps our entities. Currently, running Cumulative Translation Adjustment (CTA) requires manually updating the server link to apply our desired exchange rate. It would be a huge improvement if Campfire allowed us to set a single, consolidated foreign exchange rate for a given period to run CTA seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive AI Accounting That Speeds the Close, with Room to Improve Tagging"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

I like Campfire’s interface and how easy it is to follow along and find things. The AI helps us have a better, more efficient close with fewer errors. Reporting is easier, and I can create custom reports. Campfire is also more customizable and easier to use. The Ramp and Rippling integrations sync every day and automatically code transactions to the correct GL accounts, which saves our team a lot of time with thousands of card and bank transactions each week. Setup went well, and the new chart of accounts and tagging dimensions let us create more granular reports. The team is also very responsive to our comments and suggestions and is working on a fix for the ADP sync. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

I have a lot of tagging for departments, sub-departments, entities, and locations, and the ADP sync doesn’t currently support those different tags. The team is working on a fix and has been very responsive to our comments and suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful AI Integrations and Helpful Modules, with Room to Grow on Inventory"
5/5
What do you like best about Campfire?

I like Campfire’s API keys and its focus on connecting with other systems and AI tools. I use Claude through the API integration to ask about a GL account and have it reconciled, and to pull GL activity or transactions and build reports. It makes that work easier and more streamlined. I also like the agents and the new, easy-to-use modules they’re creating, like cost allocation, fixed assets, and prepaid. These modules make it easier to manage certain accounts and assets. The fixed asset module lets our AP team book items to the account, lets us review them, and creates and emails us a depreciation schedule at month-end. That makes the process very easy. Setup was very easy, and a team worked with us personally to get everything set up and fix bugs or issues. Campfire has significantly improved since we started using it, and I think they’re heading in the right direction as they build out more capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Campfire?

I’d like inventory to integrate more seamlessly into Campfire, with bills translating into part numbers, quantities, and costs instead of having to merge everything into the description column. I’d also like to connect Campfire’s built-in AI agents through an API key so I can build more customizable agents from scratch, since the interface is a little limiting.
