**What do you like best about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

As an Accountant, I find Oracle PeopleSoft pretty reliable for my daily tasks. The system keeps information organized, and I can easily access things like employee records, paychecks, and documents, which helps me work faster.  It handles large amounts of data smoothly and stays stable even when working with big datasets, which makes my job easier and less stressful.  The interface isn’t very modern, but the recent improvements like the updated landing page make it a bit more user‑friendly and help me get to my tasks quicker.  Overall, it’s dependable and gets the job done

**What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

PeopleSoft, the only small thing I would mention is that the system can feel a bit older in its layout, so sometimes it takes an extra moment to get used to where things are.  But overall, it still works reliably for my daily tasks.

**What problems is Oracle PeopleSoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PeopleSoft helps keep our data organized and consistent across the whole system, which makes my daily work much easier. It handles large amounts of information smoothly, so I can trust that what I enter stays accurate and easy to find.  I also like that I can quickly access employee records and documents like paychecks and tax forms, which saves me time and reduces back‑and‑forth.  Overall, it supports smoother workflows and helps me work more efficiently.

I like that it’s very easy to use. You can run queries, save them the way you want, and they stay exactly as you set them. I used it for a week, and I was able to pick up on all the little details about PeopleSoft.

It’s a big, old-school system, and it has some limitations. For example, if I wanted to build a report, I never saw that as an option. Instead, I would have to run the data, export it to Excel, and then build my report there.

For such a large company, it’s impressive how all pay, benefits, and employee records are managed in one dependable system. It takes care of complicated tasks behind the scenes, so I don’t have to worry about them, which is a real relief.

The system feels outdated and cumbersome. Even basic tasks require too many steps, making the experience inefficient. The self-service features can be particularly frustrating for employees, and overall, the interface is far from intuitive.

**What do you like best about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

Nothing. I can't stand the navigation, I can't stand the way it functions. It is non-intuitive, even in the most developed modules. It's the hardest thing I have ever had to teach anyone, and I am an expert in PeopleSoft. I have brought up these concerns repeatedly throughout a 27-year career, but Oracle is interested in one thing and one thing only: How many millions can I make on this?

It is a shame, really, because they have still been able to grow so huge. If they put any effort on developing the system, and making it easier to understand, so many more enterprises would install it. But, those enterprises aren't worth billions, so it won't be a priority.

**What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

I can't think of anything I do not dislike. Even after tons of updates, it still looks like an archaic junk program compared to other cloud based solutions. It appears clunky and old, and navigation is nearly impossible. There is so much 'stuff' in there, it's impossible to find it all, and most of it isn't in a logical place. They really do need to take a long, hard look at this product and fix it.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle PeopleSoft:**

Know your implementation team. DO NOT make the mistake of choosing a partner that tells you it will only take a year or two. It ALWAYS takes longer to successfully implement PeopleSoft!

**What problems is Oracle PeopleSoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Of course the system solves hundreds of business problems, which is why it is purchased so much. However, since implementation and troubleshooting takes so much money and effort, only the most huge entities will ever have a working peoplesoft implementation. I hope to see changes in Oracle once Larry Ellison no longer holds the reigns.

The best thing about peoplesoft is to view monthly or yearly billable time summary for each client to view total hours booked during the year. Further, there is a comment option for each day time so that one could note the status of work done along with areas of tasks performed.

It is somehow time taking. One cannot reset punch in time on the same day in order to rectify the same in case of error or mistake. Further one has to punch in location for each day in order to submit timesheet for the day which is a little annoying.

We can track record of our work and time charged during the year for each day.

It is quite easy to use. As Oracle powers it, it is reliable as well. Peoplesoft team has great work experience, as it was founded many years back when there was no need for HRMS, which makes it much more reliable as well.

Its User Interface is quite old and needs to be revamped as soon as possible. Users also face technical glitches too often, especially when there are large numbers of users come live on the platform at the same time.

We use Oracle Peoplesoft at our organization for our HRMS-related requirements only. It helps our HR team to manage things remotely and the users to make and claim leaves, allowances, etc. via the portal itself.

It is a proper tool for Expense & Time reporting. It helps in proper recording and tracking of timesheet and expense details. It is used by our organization to keep track of employee time charged and expenses. It is very easy to use and effective tool. It provides different presentations or view of the uploaded data. Helps in maintaing huge volume of data. Useful for small,mid and large sized firms. Proper customer support is provided as required. I'm using it daily for timesheet reporting at my firm. Very user friendly.

Sometimes have technical issues with the server which wont allow to login.

Using this tool from more then 3yrs and it is easy to learn and check the details. Fee details from erp details of ex student can be accessed to check the payment status. Proper authentication is required because it has ID and Password also.

It is going in a right direction but sometimes it works very slow apart from this everything is fine.

Oracle is one of the best calculator to check fees structure and student background regarding backlogs and and any amount they are lest woth. One of the best thing is it automatic ask to change password after 60 days and It makes it very secure.

I am using for more than 2 years and till now I haven't faced any single issue.

Helps a very large group of employees with payroll, purchasing, timekeeping, HR data, learning/classes. A lot of info in a centralized location.

The interface is ugly and not intuitive. It takes a long time to train on using each suite (Finance, HE, e-Learning, etc.). Glitches and bugs out fairly frequently, particularly when using procurement features.

I use Peoplesoft Oracle enterprise through work for many years. It is not easy to integrate new systems and processes using Peoplesoft. Implementing a new way of doing something takes a year or two.

**What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

Many people would agree that Peoplesoft is considered old and not modern. The institute I believe, is looking at other options to replace it since no one is a big fan.

Not much - we keep adding other softwares and systems that Peoplesoft should be able to do. Instead of replacing it, we are finding ways to add separate tools to support it.

Oracle PeopleSoft is a comprehensive system that allows for a vast amount of data to be contained and obtained. Its functionality for personnel, student records, and budgeting is an all-in-one solution.

PeopleSoft can be slow to generate reports or look up names and key words. It's not smart enough to provide suggested results based on various forms of a name (with hyphen or without, for example).

Oracle PeopleSoft was a helpful application because it enable our office at The Ohio State University to adequately archive receipts, invoices, and documents for payment as well as entering journals to easily process cost transfers to difference cost centers in the university.

**What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

Oracle PeopleSoft did not make it easy to locate invoices and supplemental documents to verify if payments had been completed without a specific identifier like a vendor ID or invoice number. Additionally, the journal transfer had to be entered line by line, and no drop-down selections were available to speed up the processing of common journals.

**What problems is Oracle PeopleSoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oracle PeopleSoft allowed our office to have all accounts payable-related documents and archival options in One Place. For example, using the PR number, we could quickly locate records for different requests in PeopleSoft. We could also enter vendor IDs in PeopleSoft and find the full scale of budget line items for faculty budget reports.

Oracle PeopleSoft helps to document and track employee information. You add your available hours; employees can add their annual self-evaluation and goal setting. Vacation can be tracked. Simplicity appeals to me mostly, and the training doesn't take long.

**What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?**

Document uploading can be rather time-consuming as you must patiently try it multiple times. If it is uploaded there successfully, it presses the original file size as a result of which the quality suffers documents become illegible. When the information is lost, you have to insert everything again.

**What problems is Oracle PeopleSoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was temporary usage unless we started to establish a 1C doc flow for our company. We managed the vacation notices, self-evaluations and KPIs through Oracle PeopleSoft.

The only thing which I don't like about people soft as an application is that it's a time taking process. Here in people soft even though the type of expenses are related we have to apply for it separately which consumes a lot of time.
