Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise the product for its accurate summaries and ease of use, which allow them to focus on meetings without the distraction of note-taking. The automatic transcription and organization of key points and action items significantly enhance productivity and streamline follow-ups. However, some users note that it primarily supports virtual meetings, which may limit its utility for in-person discussions.

"Effortless Meeting Summaries That Save Time and Improve Follow Ups"
What do you like best about Fathom?

I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education and teaching content. My daily work includes online patient consultations, follow-up discussions, planning diet changes, and reviewing next steps after meetings. Fathom fits perfectly into this kind of work and honestly makes meetings much easier to manage.

What I like the most about Fathom is how it automatically understands and captures the whole conversation. During a consultation, patients talk about their routine, food habits, challenges, and goals. Fathom quietly listens in the background and later highlights all the important points on its own. This feels very helpful because nothing important is missed, even small details.

The meeting summary is one of the strongest parts. It clearly explains what the meeting was about, what was discussed, and what needs to be done next. For example, diet suggestions, lifestyle advice, follow-up planning, and next actions are all neatly written. This saves a lot of time and avoids the need to rewrite notes after the call.

Action items created by Fathom are extremely useful. It automatically picks up tasks like sending a diet plan, scheduling a follow-up, or making specific food changes. Seeing these points clearly listed makes post-meeting work more organized and stress-free. It really helps in keeping track of responsibilities.

Using Fathom is very simple. Once it is connected, it joins meetings automatically and starts working without any extra steps. I do not have to press record or worry about taking notes. This makes it comfortable to use regularly during consultations and discussions.

Integration with Google Meet works smoothly, which is important because most consultations happen online. Everything stays in one place, and past meetings can be revisited easily when needed. This helps maintain continuity in patient care and clinic documentation.

Another thing I appreciate is that Fathom focuses on what actually matters. It does not overload with unnecessary features. It listens, understands, summarizes, and organizes the conversation in a very natural way. This feels practical and well designed for real work situations.

Overall, Fathom genuinely improves the way meetings are handled. It saves time, improves clarity, and allows me to focus more on the patient and the discussion instead of note-taking. For consultation-based work, follow-ups, and planning next steps, it has become a very helpful tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I dont have any major dislikes with Fathom so far. Sometimes the summaries are very detailed, so it takes a quick scan to focus on only the most important points. However, this is easy to manage and still much faster than writing notes manually.

Overall, these are very minor points and do not affect how useful Fathom is for handling meetings, summaries, and follow ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom let's me focus on what's important - being present in the meeting"
What do you like best about Fathom?

As a sales professional, I like Fathom's floating review/highlight panel - helps me identify key moments in the call without being distracted so I can focus on my prospect and deeply listen. I'm also loving the "Ask Fathom" feature to prep easy follow-up emails or get quick context before attending a call.

Super easy to set-up as well, I never have to worry about it joining my calls. They also don't spam participants with in-call messages or automated follow-ups which I like. They also integrate meeting notes directly into Hubspot which is a big win for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

You can't save prompts in their Ask Fathom feature - would be super helpful to have a standard prompt library that our team can use, especially in a sales environment where SDR's are handing over to AE's and need to prep handover info after a demo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Invisibly Powerful: Fathom Lets Me Stay Fully Present With Clients"
What do you like best about Fathom?

What I love most is how invisible it is while still being incredibly powerful. I can stay fully present with my clients — listening, coaching, holding space — without worrying about taking notes or missing key moments. Fathom captures the essence of the conversation for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

As with any new tool, there was a brief learning curve, but the experience has been smooth overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Precise, Rapid Note-Taking That Saves Us a TON of Time"
What do you like best about Fathom?

The note taking is precise and rapid. It takes better notes than we would get if we had someone assigned to the task. This is saving us a TON of time and allowing us to focus on vision and strategy knowing that the notes will be waiting for us when we are done. We will use it on EVERY Zoom meeting from now on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

It would be great if we could use it for in-person meetings separate from Zoom but we haven't found a good way to make that work yet. It may be possible, but we haven't figured it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom: Intuitive, Accurate AI Meeting Summaries with Seamless Calendar Automation"
What do you like best about Fathom?

I love how easily it integrates automations with Calendar functions, joining meetings set up in my Calendar even when I'm not joining. The versatility of options that you have for going back to what was said in a meeting, from watching the recording, going to the transcript, or the AI Summary (which is extraordinarily accurate). The AI integration for asking questions and keeping track of next steps is above average. Finally, navigating through the tool is very intuitive, making it impressively easy to use. For anyone in any line of service who needs to record and share meeting recordings, and perhaps use the different registers of the meeting to be analyzed with other AI tools, Fathom is the tool to go to, which is why, after trying and researching different tools, we went for Fathom, and it is part of our everyday use.

Customer Support is top-notch — friendly, quick responders, and savvy! Fathom is money well spent! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

At the moment, I haven't found a thing I dislike. Perhaps, having to log out to switch accounts cause sometimes I forget to do so. If there's a way to toggle between accounts without logging out, that'd be great! Also being able to upload videos for transcription that be an amazing plus! "Excellent Meeting Summaries that Boost Efficiency and Keep Action Items on Track"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Over the last year, we’ve been adding Fathom to our company meetings, and it has really improved our efficiency. The summaries are excellent. They help us remember the action items we discussed and keep track of what came up across different meetings as time goes on. It’s like having a personal note-taker and organizer on staff, making it much easier to stay aligned and follow through. Plus, it's extremely easy to use and integrate into our workflows. We use it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I wish I knew how to turn this off. When we’re on Zoom, we often want to talk freely at the end of meetings without big brother recording us, but we have to send it to the waiting room just to stop it. There’s no other obvious way to stop it from recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom Makes Post-Meeting Follow-Ups Almost Effortless"
What do you like best about Fathom?

What I like most about Fathom is how easy it makes meetings after they end.

I tried many tools before but this one just feels right.

The way it summarizes and groups things like purpose, key takeaways, next steps and action items saves me a lot of time.

As an IT Manager, I really like that my team don’t need to write follow up notes anymore.

Even the free version gives more value than I expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Honestly there is not much I dislike.

Sometimes for very technical meetings, the summary could be a bit more detailed.

Also having more control on how the summary is formatted would be nice.

But these are small things and doesn’t really affect the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom Never Misses a Detail—My Reliable Meeting Back-Up"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Fathom is phenomenal at getting the specific details I need from a meeting, so I don't have to worry about missing anything important. I know it has my back, every time I'm in a meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I do wish I could...potentially have it attend in place of me. Or stay on for a meeting that I myself can't stay on for the full meeting of. For example. I was originally only planning to pop by for about 90 minutes of a 4 hour meeting. But when someone saw my fathom notetaker they said "great, yours can just stay on the whole time!" And I realized I couldn't dip at the 90 minute mark because so would my notetaker. Would be amazing if it could attend in place of me if I can only be there part of the time. "Total Peace of Mind in Meetings—Fathom Captures Every Crucial Detail"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Honestly, the best thing about Fathom is the absolute peace of mind it gives me during meetings.

I used to be that person frantically typing away, trying to catch every little detail, such as dates, deadlines, and specific client feedback, and I was always stressed that if I stopped typing to actually listen, I’d forget something crucial.

With Fathom, I can just let go. I love that it captures everything. It’s not just a generic summary; it actually grabs the specific nuances. If a client mentions a tiny but critical constraint for a project, or if my boss drops a quick side note about a deadline change, Fathom catches it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

If I had to pick what I dislike, it is the awkward waiting game at the start of a call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Game-Changer for Meetings: Ask Fathom & Custom Summaries Save Time"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Fathom has been a game changer for our meetings. Ask Fathom is hands down the most useful feature; it lets you quickly pull answers and insights without digging through recordings. I also love that the meeting summaries can be customized to focus on a specific point of view, which makes follow ups way easier and more relevant. It saves time, keeps things organized, and actually makes meetings useful after they’re over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Honestly, there isn’t anything I don’t like so far. The features have been really solid, and it’s been genuinely helpful in our day to day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
