It offers a wide range of integrations, including Slack, Google Meet, and Zoom. It’s also very easy to set up and start using, with configuration options that feel genuinely intuitive at both the account-wide and organization-wide levels. On top of that, the transcription and summaries are stellar: they’re high quality, provide truly valuable insights, and work extremely well in practice. It’s not perfect yet and still has a few blind spots, but once you learn what they are and adapt while the team continues improving the product, the overall experience is excellent. There have been times when the UX feels clunky, especially when I’m trying to join a meeting. This is particularly noticeable in my setup, where I use different browser profiles and only one of them supports Fathom. I just started using Fathom here at a new job. Having used others in the past, I was very impressed with the AI accuracy and functionality in here. The ability to accurately detect follow up items, the ability to generate robust summaries for call logs, and the ability to generate the follow up email with the click of a button have really been a game changer. On top of that, sometimes we have technical conversations that I don't quite understand yet, but I can ask Fathom to generate me a summary of that part that is Jira ready for ticket submission. I've been using Fathom for about two months, and it has made a real difference in how I manage my meetings. What I love most is that I no longer have to spend time taking notes, allowing me to give 100% of my attention to the conversation.

Transcripts are available immediately after the call ends, and I can easily access them from the Fathom dashboard. From there, I can also check the corresponding video clips when I need to review a specific point. Additionally, the meeting summaries highlight the most relevant information and make it easy to review key points.

Another thing I really liked was how easy and quick it was to connect Fathom with my Google calendar, which made starting to use the tool very simple.

I love that I don't have to spend ages organizing my notes. My Fathom note-taker creates a transcript, summary and categories plus the all-important Action Items. My role these days is split between two primary responsibilities: Testing new AI technologies for my business, and meeting with coaching clients. I've tested dozens of AI tools over the last few weeks, and none have blown me away as quickly and consistently as Fathom.

As a coach that's a part of a larger team, almost every one of Fathom's features feels like it was custom-built for me. The ability to easily capture action items, grab high-lights, and highlight successes completely streamlined my follow-up process. The only thing I don't love about Fathom, and I don't know that there's a way around this, is that it has to sit in on the Zoom call as a separate attendee. That feels a little clunky to me, and makes it something I need to explain to those I'm meeting with. I'd love if it just ran in the background without needing to join the call as an attendee. The free plan offers a lot of great features even without a paid subscription. It’s really helpful for me as an individual, especially when I need a summary of meetings I’ve attended. The transcription accuracy is also very high compared to other tools I’ve tried before. The only issue I frequently encounter is when I join a meeting that requires the host’s permission for Fathom to join. Sometimes, Fathom fails to connect, so I have to click the Join button again to put Fathom back in the waiting room. Once I’m admitted to the meeting, Fathom can then join as well. Fathom is the one tool I've added this year that I have no complaints about. I run a weekly client NOC meeting plus a steady stream of vendor and internal calls, and it has quietly removed note-taking from my job.

UI / UX. The interface stays out of the way. It joins the call, records, and the summary lands in my inbox before I've closed the Teams window. Finding a past meeting or jumping to a specific moment in the transcript takes seconds, no digging through folders.

AI / Intelligence. The summaries and action items are accurate enough that I forward them to clients with light edits. It picks up decisions, owners, and follow-ups reliably, and the ask-Fathom feature is handy when I need to pull a detail out of a call from three weeks ago without re-watching it.

Integrations. The Teams and calendar hookup was painless, and the MCP integration means I can query meeting history from Claude when I'm drafting follow-up emails or project notes. That alone has saved me hours of context-switching.

Performance. Recordings process fast, playback is smooth, and I haven't had a missed or failed recording yet. It just works, which is more than I can say for most meeting tools.

Pricing / ROI. For what it costs, it pays for itself in the first week of each month purely in time I'm not spending writing minutes. Easy to justify for a small team.

Support / Onboarding. Setup took minutes with no training needed, and the one time I had a question the help docs answered it before I needed to open a ticket.

Fathom has been very helpful, because it’s made taking notes during our meetings much easier. The notes are accurate as well, and while they sometimes need a few small changes or minor adjustments, those edits are not significant. The value is good compared to the cost. Fathom saves us a significant amount of time when taking and reviewing meeting notes, while also providing more accurate and complete records. One downside of Fathom is that the language and wording could be improved, particularly because our client is British and some of our staff are from Nigeria. At times, the accents, expressions, and words they use are not accurately captured, so some parts of the transcript or notes may not quite match what was actually said. Fathom is doing an amazing job by giving small businesses an option for meeting recording and embedded AI. It also helps with meeting transcripts, which is wonderful. And you know what? Fathom doesn’t seem to have language limitations. I even received a meeting transcript in my local language. Can you believe that?

On top of that, Fathom offers a way to get meeting recording without paying for full suites like Microsoft or Google, which is great. Last but not least, if you’re a small business, this amazing company has a free usage option as well. I think that’s a game changer and a huge help for startups. Its easy to use, it takes great notes, provides a breakdown of everything important from the meeting and also gives you a transcript which is helpful in about a million different ways.
