Using Fathom has been super helpful for post-meeting reviews of information intensive sessions. Previously, info would get missed or forgotten, or sometimes lost on team members desks. We've been able to fully concentrate on asking questions and answering client concerns without having to pause to jot down a note. It's also been extremely beneficial to have a task and action point breakdown sent to my email after each session. Integration with Microsoft Teams and Zoom have been very straight-forward. There aren't "downsides" to Fathom per say, just minor inconveniences. I'd love to see a frame added to the user rather than an entire bot added to the meeting, as it takes up valuable screen space. More native App integration for Microsoft Teams and Zoom would be great, I rarely use Google Meet, so I can't attest to it. Id love to not have to go to my browser to get deeper insights/breakdowns of meetings. Honestly, I don’t have anything significant that I dislike. If I had to mention something, it would be that at times, the “Ask Fathom” feature doesn’t feel as intelligent or responsive as some other AI tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Fathom is that it lets you be fully present in meetings by automatically recording, transcribing, and summarising everything. There’s no need to take notes or worry about missing key details. The instant structured summaries go beyond a wall of text, clearly capturing key points, decisions, and action items, which makes follow-ups fast and accurate. The ability to clip and share specific moments is a huge time-saver, especially for handovers, client decisions, or internal updates, cutting down unnecessary back-and-forth. While Fathom is extremely useful, it isn’t perfect. The summaries, while generally accurate, can occasionally miss nuance or context and still require a quick human check, and there’s limited ability to customise them for different types of meetings. Transcription quality also depends heavily on clear audio, accents, and minimal cross-talk. In addition, for highly sensitive conversations, the presence of any recording tool can sometimes feel inappropriate. Installation was simple. I got immediate value from the tool after having it attend just one meeting. I have the coaching feature turned on, which for me is useful to ensure I'm leaving enough room for others to talk during the meeting. The fact I can share the meeting summaries with just a single click is a huge time saver. You can optionally just share all meeting summaries by default and avoid the click entirely. I like that Fathom gives you the option to choose default behavior. I will aso point out that the post sales experience has been stellar. Candidly, I've not experienced any true "downside" to the application. I guess users should be aware that to get every last bit of functionality from the tool, your IT/Infosec will need to approve the tool for connection to Zoom (if that's what you use). In my org, Fathom is NOT "integrated directly" to ZOOM according to company policy, but I still get all the feature/functionality I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the variety of format templates available for different styles of meetings. The level of detail and the accuracy in the notes are truly impressive. This is much better than the built-in Zoom AI Companion! It was very easy to use. Once I followed the initial tutorial, I have just figured everything else out on my own. I would like to have the option to control whether the "AI Notetaker" participant is visible in the Zoom meeting. I want to be able to take notes privately, without others being aware. Sometimes, we have ad hoc meetings that can't be scheduled through an individual's calendar link. In these cases, calls aren't attributed to the person who took the call, the company involved, or the attendees present. This leads to problems with reporting and makes it difficult to find information about future calls. I would really appreciate the option to manually enter and adjust this data, or at least have a way to track the important details instead of leaving those fields empty. Fathom sends a reminder before your meeting and gives you a gentle prompt during the meeting to let you know how much you are speaking. Afterward, there are multiple options for receiving your notes, and you can have them automatically added to Hubspot, where tasks are also created for you. I find this feature especially helpful, as it simplifies following up on next steps.

We use Fathom for all our external meetings and occasionally for internal ones to get an overview. It is also linked to a drive folder to save the videos for later, using a Zapier connection. Simple and compatible. It works everywhere and you don't have to think about it. The AI integration is superb. I love the "Ask Fathom" feature because I can ask it any question about what was said, when it was said, etc. during the call. It works across browsers, video call platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and is very robust and resilient (e.g. if it does ever drop, a new agent is automatically sent into the meeting to pick up the call recording ASAP).
