## Mitel Reviews
  ### 1. Friendly Support, but Long Wait Times and Rigid User Licensing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael F. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

To be honest the reason we left Mitel was that it sold to another vendor but even before that it was hard to get service. The service was friendly at least once you got to them.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Service wait times. The being locked into a number of accounts with no room for wiggle on either side of the number. We dropped from 180+ users to 150 and that 30 user difference at 21.99 a month is a big hit when you are paying for an empty seat.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None we switched away from them because of the difficulty level to get assistance.

  ### 2. Sunsetting soon, move to cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The Administration experience and end user experience

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

The Mobility application is spotty at best and non-funtional most of the time.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mitel TAC is no longer solving any issues.

  ### 3. A Unified communication platform short review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Menard B. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

What I like the most with mitel is that their solutions such as mivoice business, micontact center, and miboarder gateway are easy to implement and integrate with other existing platforms and telephony system. Their devices are also easy to use and have a simple yet friendly user GUI.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

I dont think there is anything I dislike with their solutions. Mitel is our best selling telephony solution.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Other telephone solutions are having hard time integrating with other brands but with mitel it is easy to integrate specially with clients with existing telephony and only wants to upgrade and not discard their existing PABX.

  ### 4. IT Team Leader

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The GUI from agent perspective but also the back end configuration is easy to use

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

A lot of bugs that have been reported, Your site explorer crashes often.

  ### 5. The only positive thing about the company is the phones.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lana S. | Adjunct Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Mitel wireless handset phones were a nice feature and had a very nice look.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Mitel's customer service was lacking. You get only answers that are scripted, no willingness to help beyond that. If you request to be moved further up the chain, you are met by resentment and a big "no".

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mitel is not solving any problems, they recently shut down the service after selling out to another company, but won't let you out of your contract or waive the early termination fee. I gave them information that was given to me by one of their vendors and then told by them that their vendor was wrong. It's been a complete mess.

  ### 6. Worked well for start up company

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Serves it's purpose to deal with incoming and outgoing customer contact.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

The reporting spreadsheets were time consuming to navitage through and we often encountered technical difficulties with the lines where the phone lines would randomly dial out.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since using a different telephony provided and therefore cannot comment further.

The solid Feature set of traditional PBX features plus advantages of Cloud flexibility. All of the Connect apps sync and work well together

Less control of the pace of when we want to do updates than we had before with our onsite system.
Not being constantly encouraged to move to RC-MVP.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

it would be great if you could see the phone numbers in voicemail as it only specifies the time and internal phone numbers, and external numbers are specified as unknown. Allow users to transform audio and microphone settings without having to be in an active call. The sound is sometimes an inconvenience because conclusive users cannot hear the other person or vice versa.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

We enjoy using this system which has given our organization greater scheduling flexibility, minimizing travel, approving more work and keeping distractions at bay. It provided us with a seamless experience, which we attributed to the smooth running of our organization and we are pleased with the results achieved.

  ### 11. Not bad for a phone system

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara B. | Commercial Lines Account Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

I like that Mitel has been beneficial while working from home. The feature that I like most is having calls forwarded to your cell phone directly from your work line.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

I do not like that the app is not user-friendly. The setting can be challenging to navigate through to set the phone up as you want it (i.e., forwarding calls). The program also seems to have technical issues quite a bit.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mitel has allowed the employees at my place of business to work from home during COVID-19. We have large wired phones, so using the Mitel app has made working from home much more manageable.

  ### 12. I have no problem with it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Making transfers and answering calls is just so easy and convenient. It only took me one or two calls to get the hang of it, and it's also easy to move from one call to the next.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Having the ability to access voicemail from the ShoreTel communicator isn't as intuitive as making calls and transfers. Sometimes, the call labels are a little confusing.
In order to discern details shared in a conversation, it would be nice if it were easier to pull up past calls. Accessing voicemail through ShoreTel communicator may not be as obvious as making or transferring calls. The labels on the call history can be confusing at times.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using this, I am able to manage my workflow (i.e. calls) at a pace that I am comfortable with. I don't need to listen to the phone ring incessantly and can focus on other tasks or step away if I need to take a break.

  ### 13. Helpful with remote workforce

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole L. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The ability to be remote and still have office based phone numbers - is more seamless to the external people we deal with. Eliminates remote staff needing to use their cell phones too.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

if the internet is down - so is every one of our phones and phone numbers. Also, there is no way to access our staffs voicemails or see who hasnt been checking them etc.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When covid hit originally, our whole team had to shift into remote work almost overnight. We had no remote workers at the time so it was a huge adjustment - Mitel made keeping our phones running easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

It's a great platform if you are working from home and don't have access to a hard phone. Platform is also user friendly

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

It doesn't work well or integrate with the current crm platform that we are using. Cloud business was sold to Ringcenral so not sure what will happen

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working from home and ease of use is the best feature for micloud connect. Also the chat feature within your organization is easy

  ### 17. Overall good experience, just wish there was more clear training for all aspects.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The desktop and mobile app feature is the best.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

I wish the call quality was better as it can sound robotic or with static.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us communicate better internally as well as feeling like we have an office phone number without being in a physical office.

  ### 18. Too Cumbersome to Consider

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael K. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

What can I say good about Mitel Cloud Connect The MiCoud Connect desktop application is actually a very good softphone/deskphone interface. The integrated AD contacts and search by name functions are a perfect(no more outdated contact list printouts hanging on the wall). Additionally I really like that I have easy to see icons on the client to transfer, conference, pass the call to my cell phone.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Almost everything else. Too many things are taken out of the administrators hands, requiring endless tickets back and forth with Mitel Support. I am not sure who gave them the award for their "award winning customer service" but their agents are NOT the United States in most cases carrying very heavy accents and broken english. Ticket responses are slow, and in many cases tickets are closed without full resolution. Call quality lacks due to high Jitter and frequent dropped calls.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quite frankly we get to talk on the phone. I have been able to set up a simple Auto Attendant/IVR that only through support tickets. Other than that VM to Email

  ### 19. One of the flexible UC platforms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The Mobility app is a great all-in-one communication tool that has simplified and enhanced our ability to contact our employees on the move. Integration options with other platforms and services provide us with opportunities to improve how we communicate within our business and with our customers.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Administration of advanced features over the web.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobility Features over the phone has resolved our softphone issue over the external network.

  ### 20. Extremely Useful Business VoIP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Having the Mitel cloud-based voice system implemented as one of the main forms of communication at my company really enhanced the workflow of all branches and departments. As many tech companies are full of employees who prefer remote work and perform better by working remote, Mitel allowed this capability. Not only did it help in connecting employees to other employees, but in connecting employee to consumer and business clients.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

The initials setup of the software took longer than expected. To be completely honest, this most likely was not the fault of the Mitel software or engineers who assisted in implement, but an internal issue as our IT department needed to learn a new software.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

I would strongly recommend that any business looking to operate remotely become a user of Mitel MiCloud Connect. In this day and age not only will it help with the productivity of employees, but it will make the company using it more competitive as people are now conditioned and seeking jobs which allow them to work remotely. We all know communication is a major key to operating a successful business, and Mitel MiCloud Connect enables perfect communication.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to be responsive in a timely manner to both colleagues and clients. Especially while working on a remote team and in an organization that had various remote employees. The benefits realized were that once implemented, we completely eliminated the need for employees to be at their desk with a physial phone. Obviously, this had a massive positive impact on the communication at the company, as well as the satisfaction of the employees.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

it's a new system to us, and change is always confusing at first

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am having problems understanding the setup on my phones, and the ins and outs of all the extra's Mi cloud have to offer. I realize the benefit of Mi cloud is it does everything we could need all from online

  ### 22. Mitel MiCloud makes it very easy for IT admins as well as the company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad T. | IT Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

the configuration of Mitel is very easy '

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

This is the third downtime in a row and pretty much the same time. '

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

usually, the Mitel is down '

  ### 23. A very good piece of technology but there is a long list of improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Talib J. | Senior Delivery Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

I love the Chrome Plugin as it allows me to call people very quickly and easily and makes my workflow 100x better than when I was using a previous wired phone connection. The chrome plugin also works with our IP based CRM system which is great as again it means that I can do my work faster and call people a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

I dislike the connection issues and the problems that I have whenever I am using my Wifi and then reconnecting through my Wired connection. I am not sure if this is a VPN issue and that Mitel just doesn't like us having a VPN but the issues are pretty bad and do need fixing, hence the lower than normal score.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have physical phones so by using Mitel we are able to call through Internet.
This also solves the issue of streamlining our processes as we are able to call a lot faster through the Chrome Plugin where you can call any number that is recognised as a phone number whilst looking on Google Chrome.

Prep meetings and detail involved prior to onboarding new system.

  ### 31. Mitel response for issues is very lengthy hold and transferred to many times

  ### 32. Mitel MiCloud Connect Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole D. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The thing that I like best about this program is being able to see the data of how many phone calls each of my employees take. It it great to be able to see this to help assign projects. Some employees are more phone call based while others like answering the phones. So after using this program I am able to tell which is which.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

The downside of using MiCloud Connect is that when you first seen the program you are overwhelmed because you don't know where everything is located. To help with this they have a lot of support articles that you can read to help you figure out where you need to go to get certain reports and answers.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

My advice would be don't get overwhelmed when you first start using the product. Like anything it does take a little time in order to learn what you are doing. If you have any questions try to reach out to support by either chatting online with them or looking at their support articles. Once you know what you are doing with this product it is very user friends and you be able to get all the data you need from it.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits we have realized as a company is being able to better gauge when our busy times of the day, weeks, and months are. Being able to use and view this data is huge as it helps us figure out how many employees we need at certain times. It also helps us prepare for the business.

  ### 33. Mitel MiCloud Connect for MediaNews Group account

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

I promote to my customers all the all encompassing features bundled for our account profiles. This includes MiCloud Connect for Chrome, for PC/Mac, Mobility, and all the other features. Especially for the remote worker. Great selling points to get my customers on the latest phone platform.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Sometimes Mobility client for iOS and Android drops. It could most likely be a cellular data issue, WiFi issue, or a handoff signal issue. However, I tested on a corporate WiFi and I noticed the drops as well. Not too sturdy, but manageable.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

Web portal is very useful and using Softphone for the Remote Worker is a great selling point. All inclusive on your Mitel Connect Essentials profile.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ATA profile issues were solved after Mitel released a new phone firmware in 01-2020. The ATA's were not signaling the Analog profile to sound overhead paging. Now it is fixed and we are happy.

**Reviewed by:** Fred V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

As the Network administrator for my company. The best feature is your portal. One place to look for information, add, remove modify user options. Administration. Pay your bill. Get stats. Is an all inclusive portal.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

It took me a while to navigate thru all the options in the portal.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting stats on usage is very easy now. I was using the Edge 520 devices. Not friendly at all. Extra equipment to manage and take care of. Now, is just a login away.

  ### 37. Mostly Good

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The ease of setup. It just works. All you need is an internet connection.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Making some changes can't be done without involving support. Some things you can create/add, but you cannot remove yourself.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a lot less work than an on premise solution such as Cisco's phone service. Being a small IT department this has freed us up to take care of other things.

  ### 41. Mitel MiCloud Connect was a critical move for us

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane V. | IT Specialist, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Redudancy
Eliminate the risk of on-premise equipment and phone lines failing
Easier management and scaling of users and services
Value added features included where before we had to license each one
Mitel Mobile App
Supports Azure AD Single Sign-on eliminating the need to have a separate password for Mitel from our enterprise credentials.
Multiple ways to contact support
Fully managed so it takes the burden off my shoulders knowing anyone in our company can get help and don't have to rely on reaching me.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Some cases take too long to resolve. I've had an open case for an Outlook calendar integration issue since March, and it's still not resolved. It seems there are some growing pains after they took over Shoretel and struggle to resolve some issues, though overall there have been very, very few of these types of downsides.

I wish the Mitel Connect Mobile app would support two-way "Call Presence" so whenever I'm on a call on the Mobile App, those using the Desktop app can see I'm on a call, and vice versa, especially for our receptionist to be able to globally see everyone's status. The mobile and desktop apps need to be bridged.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

Be prepared to share your expectations with their implementation team and don't be shy. Make sure you're getting the call flows and behavior you expect, and this may require creating some flow charts or other type of planning tool to really lay out how you want your system to work. Also gain a thorough understanding of which license your organization will need to be sure you have the features you will actually use and exclude those you will not. You can always change, which is the beauty of a Cloud subscription. We started out with Essentials and discovered later we needed to upgrade, so it came out at a higher cost, which didn't make management happy, but they understood. I wish I had scoped it out better in the beginning.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had zero redundancy if our phone system went down, leaving us down and dead in the water, so this solves that huge gap in reliability, where most of the time of Mitel is having any sort of issue, it's here or there and not across the board, so maybe the web applications have an outage, but we can still make/receive calls.

  ### 42. Seems Great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Lots of features that are included. Doesn't seem like I can complain about anything.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Nothing to dislike yet. Can't complain about anything.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to use our cell phones and PCs instead of hauling a desk phone from place to place.

  ### 43. Great company!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The connection and tools are great- we use only 1/2 of what they offer and love them

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

If the internet is down we are down on the phones

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have no real issues or problems at this time with the connect

  ### 44. Great service and great phones

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The setup is super simple and tech support is always on top of things.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its keeping customers cost down

  ### 45. Reliable VoIP service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe J. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The software is easy to set up and use. I like that I can customize for each user in my network features such as simultaneous ring on the user's cellphone. Sound quality is generally very good.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Each upgrade of software installs additional programs, like TeamWork, which I do not want and have to uninstall. It would be better if it gave me the choice at install to select which programs I wanted. While the quality of the sound I hear is excellent, the quality of the sound others hear is only good. I changed headsets, but it still remained only good. Would like the ability to cut-and-paste codes into the dialing box; right now can put in numbers to call, but have to hand input codes for conference calls, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

I do not use it.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a solid, inexpensive solution for office telephones. We are about to move and using this product has taken one big issue off my desk. When we move, our phone service will move with us with minimal effort and no expense.

  ### 46. Mitel: Great On-Prem, Lackluster On-Cloud

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

MiCloud is perhaps best suited for SMB who lack a well rounded in-house IT department. MiCloud takes most of the work away from the organization and handles the underlying network itself.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Its main advantage is also its Achilles heel. For organizations that have a proper IT infrastructure team in place, MiCloud is the kiss of death. The lack of control over the organization's VoIP network option is brutal. I have worked in an organization that uses a Mitel Director on-prem solution and can confidently state that it's much better suited for enterprise organizations than MiCloud.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

Please carefully weigh the MiCloud option against the on-prem equivalent like Mitel Director. If you're a smaller organization and/or lack a robust in-house IT department, MiCloud may be for you. If you're a larger enterprise with its own technology department, consider a solution, like Director, that gives you more control over the environment.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MiCloud connect does free up some man hours that would otherwise be spent provisioning VoIP profiles and the like. However, the benefits to this ease of use are outweighed by the lack of control I have on the MiCloud platform when compared to Mitel Director.

  ### 47. Frustrating from a service level perspective

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diane P. | Manager Technical Sevices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The software hits some of the right spots but the reliability of the service behind it takes away from the software. Additionally, while it controls the phone it seems short

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Resetting passwords seems to be a constant challenge in our environment. Links seem to be deactivated and it is generally frustrating when the automated change your password comes up.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

If you are looking for a fully robust phone application, this is not really it. it works the basic functions but does not really provide anything special.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not really effectively using this software to solve problems. It is too obtuse in some ways to effectively to use it as an optimizer every day.

**Official Response from Camille Beasley:**

> Diane, we really appreciate the specific feedback in your review. We want to make sure the product is fully supporting your organization's needs. ### 48. Evolving quality

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Paper & Forest Products | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

The set of software solutions are feature packed. Mitel is constantly improving the features and releasing additional capabilities. Most impressive is that the core functionality is not ignored. The ability to make and manage phone calls is stable and reliable.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Updates are a little too frequent, often requiring downloads of new client software AND reconfiguration of downloaded software. How, at this stage of development, the setup software STILL requires a USER to know the server as "clientstart.sky.shoretel.com" is beyond me, and the updates routinely ask for this cryptic information.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

Go for it. At the present time, the software is quite good. Apart from too-frequent updates, my organization is pleased with the capabilities and reliability of the software. It has truly come along way - we were early adopters and the software is far better today.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more PBX management problems (and limitations), no more requirement to find multiple providers for different solutions. Mitel offers a nice package of (expanding) capabilities.

  ### 49. Excellent

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Being able to create new users quickly and get them up and running within the same day. Getting the call flow up and running is also very nice as it loads very quickly and allows for new offices or in general new routing to occur when it needs to be done. It is also nice to have even different departments get their own number if they like to ring to them specifically instead of people calling the main company phone line in order to reach them.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Call center reporting doesn't work well and errors out every time. I think the overall reporting can be improved by showing what call went to voicemail, who exactly answered the call when it came in and who transferred what call to what person.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

I would say if you want a reliable service and good support system to switch over with the benefit of easily adding new users or locations to the system.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everyone in the company is not on one phone system and can connect to anyone easily now. Our employees used different systems everywhere and we were able to connect everyone onto the Mitel system. This allows for someone here in Georgia to call someone in South Carolina easily just be dialing an extension instead of calling an office number to go through their individual prompts and then finally getting to them Now its a simply task of just dialing 4 numbers or looking them up in the Directory.

  ### 50. Worst Instant Messenging Service EVER

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Mitel?**

Nothing. Mitel Connect is a horrifying application. The phone service is the only thing that is ok, but that is not even that good.

**What do you dislike about Mitel?**

Geez, where can I begin? I hear complaints around my office every single day regarding Connect. We miss Shoretel soooo much! Our employees miss message notifications all the time, as they often do not pop up on screen. Then you have to play around with the application and quit out then restart your computer, then log back in. The settings are terrible and complicated. Shoretel was amazing because the window was smaller, yet also displayed all your contacts and told you whether or not they were on the phone. Copy/paste doesn't work in Connect anymore, which is also annoying. And when you have issues with the application, you have to sit on hold for hours just to speak with somebody... and that somebody rarely has a solution. Also, I was told that when we converted over to Mitel from Shoretel that our overall bill would go down... but it's actually way higher than our Shoretel bill was!!! The only reason we are still using Mitel is because we haven't had time to implement a new phone/messenging service. Mitel slows our productivity down every single day.

**Recommendations to others considering Mitel:**

Don't do it.

**What problems is Mitel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. Connect only creates more problems. It would be nice if we could figure out how to conference call or screen share, but nobody here can figure out how to do it.

**Official Response from Camille Beasley:**

> Thank you for taking time to submit a review. We would very much appreciate the opportunity to resolve any issues and assist in answering your "how to" questions about our product features. Please email camille.beasley@mitel.com with your contact info and company name, so we can connect you with a member of our Customer Success Team.
