"Clunky Experience Overshadows Useful Reporting Features"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

They have alot of reporting options which helps verify payroll taxes. I like being able to import timecards from the timekeeping of ADP Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

It is very clunky. I honeslty think ADP really needs to stop putting so much focus on adding more products and actually make their main product (payroll and timekeeping) very functional. I hate how hard it is to edit PTO that was already approved. I hate that I have to jump from one page to the next to do different things because their site isnt smart and allows you to edit things on the same page. I hate that employees cant request to edit their own time and we can either approve or deny. Like their site needs tons of upgrades. Connecteam is way better in features and usability. Also our transition from quickbooks has not been that great. Even ADP has gotten a ton wrong on our tax accounts and I have had to fight and argue with agents to get things solved. "Easy to Use and Highly Effective"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

While there are areas for improvement, RUN Powered by ADP is generally easy to use. The platform is straightforward and intuitive, making basic tasks simple to complete without excessive navigation. Overall, it provides a user-friendly experience that allows staff to complete required actions efficiently.

For the most part, their customer service is also quite good. The availability of the chat option is especially helpful and appreciated, as it allows for quicker assistance and more efficient issue resolution without long hold times on the phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The Time and Attendance system is overly restrictive and inefficient. We frequently receive flag errors for missed lunches even when employees have approved lunch waivers documented on their spreadsheets.

Correcting errors is unnecessarily complicated. Instead of making adjustments directly in the timesheet, we must navigate through multiple layers—entering the timesheet, exiting to PTO, and then returning to the timesheet to confirm whether the issue was resolved. This process is time-consuming and frustrating.

Requesting vacation (VAC) or sick (SIC) time is also cumbersome. Requests can only be submitted during specific times of day, and completing a single request requires navigating through multiple sections of the system.

In addition, the system’s reporting capabilities are very limiting. The available reports do not provide the flexibility or level of detail needed for effective oversight, auditing, or operational decision-making.

Finally, the mobile app is unreliable. It crashes frequently during clock-in and clock-out, and the location tracking for punches is often inaccurate. This makes the system unreliable and undermines its purpose as an accurate timekeeping tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll and Time Management with RUN by ADP"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

Run by ADP has made my job as the employer, so much easier. I have my employees clock in and out on the TIME section of RUN. ADP then factors the hours for me, I need to click some buttons, and then it submits the payroll. The money is then direct deposited into my employees' accounts. It has made it so much easier then trying to do all of the payroll and time keeping on my own. When it comes time to collecting tax info and 1099 info for my employees, ADP makes it easy and it is ready for me to print when needed. When setting up my employees in the system, it was easy, and then just needed to send over to my employees for them to fill out the rest of their info. ADP has been a life saver, and when I did not need to run payroll, I just continued to pay the monthly bill for ADP, to keep my account open. It has been great to work with ADP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The ONLY thing I do not like about RUN by ADP is that if my employees need help with their account, they cannot contact IT on their own. They need me present, and I have to do it. I have 1099 clients, so I am not always with them as we have different schedules. So when they are having trouble with their account, it would be so much easier, if they could contact IT on their own- especially when the problem has to do, typically, with the fact that they had an old ADP account from another employer, and now ADP is not connecting correctly for them, with their new employer. That has usually been my biggest issue. Other then that, ADP has been great and easy for me to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Helpful Support and Easy Payroll, Apologies"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

There are some ADP employees that really take the time to help. Any problem that I have had have been answered by their chat with ease. I use ADP every week and it is a simple process to enter payroll. I really like to be able to easily see what payments are coming out and how much they are on their detailed report so if I do have questions I can contact them directly. What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

ADP has had 2 people that have talked me out of doing the forms online and 1 person (1 of the 2) that just made me feel like a burden. Every person I have talked to since has assured me that my words were taken seriously and that they don't want the one bad apple to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I appreciate the apologies because it truly goes a long way in my book! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Responsive Support Team That Quickly Resolves Issues"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

9 times out of ten, when we make a mistake, they are quick to respond and figure out the issue and correct it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Sometimes we get a new person from another country and they always see like they are reading from a script. Many of the things that ADP makes them say in the script are unnecessary and are not how conversations usually go. When I get a person from another country (Philippines or India, I believe), it is much more difficult. Not that it shouldn't be given to them to help, it is just more difficult and takes longer because all of the unnecessary pleasantries. When we call in with an issue, we are mostly stressed and upset (even though, it is most likely due to something we did and can't figure out how to fix it. The extra pleasantries just take too much time. Even at the end, a simple "Thank you for your patience and have a wonderful day" Not, "is there anything else that I can help you with? If there were, you would already have known about it. That question is always unnecessary around the world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Self-Serve Payroll That Makes HR Easy"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

What I value most is the wide range of self-serve options available. I don’t need to depend on a third party to process payroll or review time cards—I can manage these tasks myself and take full responsibility for any mistakes. This eliminates the need to supervise another company or an additional staff member. The website is very intuitive, which is important to me because I prefer not to use tutorials or help menus. While those resources are offered, I rarely find them necessary to navigate the system. The HR features are also quite helpful, and I appreciate being able to post job ads whenever I need to hire. Overall, everything is simple and user-friendly. On top of that, customer service is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

I've been using RUN for a couple of years now, and honestly, I haven't encountered any significant downsides. It would be even better if the basic program, platform, or package integrated directly with my 401k company, but I can still generate reports that help reduce the extra work involved. While creating custom reports can sometimes be a bit confusing, overall, I don't have much to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll and HR Management for Small Nonprofits"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

What I like best about RUN Powered by ADP is how simple and reliable it makes payroll and HR management for a very small nonprofit team. As a two-person organization, we don’t have the capacity for complicated systems, and RUN allows us to stay compliant, pay our staff accurately and on time, and manage key HR tasks efficiently — so we can focus more of our time and energy on serving our community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

One thing I dislike is that the reporting tools are not always intuitive, and it can be difficult to locate or generate the reports I need without additional guidance or support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll with RUN, Needs Better Feature Implementation Support"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I find RUN Powered by ADP particularly easy to use, which simplifies the process of managing payroll operations efficiently. The user interface is intuitive, making the handling of payroll straightforward and reducing the complexity typically associated with payroll management. This ease of use is a significant benefit in my daily operations, allowing me to complete payroll tasks without unnecessary hassle. Furthermore, the initial setup of RUN Powered by ADP was fairly easy, streamlining the transition process and minimizing downtime. I appreciate how the functionalities are designed to make the entire payroll process seamless, ultimately saving me time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Implementing new things can be challenging for me with RUN Powered by ADP. Sometimes, it's hard to figure out how to do what I'm trying to accomplish within the system. I feel that having more guidance or support, such as someone available who understands what needs to be done, would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll Solution for New Business Owners"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I appreciate how straightforward RUN makes managing payroll. As a new business owner, having all the essentials—taxes, W-2s, reports, and automatic calculations—in one platform really eases my stress. The setup process was simple, and the support I received when I had questions helped make the transition seamless. Using RUN helps my business feel more organized and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The only aspect that was initially a bit confusing for me was locating where to claim the referral rewards after reaching the bonus goal. Although I did receive the reward and was able to use it without any issues, it took me a moment to find the correct section in the dashboard. Aside from that, everything else has been straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Industry-Leading Payroll and HR Solutions with Unmatched Reliability"
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

ADP is recognized as a reliable industry leader, widely considered one of the most trusted names in payroll and HR solutions thanks to its decades of experience. The company provides a robust product ecosystem, offering a comprehensive range of tools that cover everything from payroll and HRIS to time tracking, benefits administration, and compliance support. ADP’s services are scalable, catering to businesses of all sizes—from small companies to large enterprises—making it a flexible option as organizations expand. One of ADP’s standout strengths is its expertise in compliance, consistently keeping up with evolving tax and labor regulations to help reduce risk for employers. Customer support is generally excellent, with ADP known for its extensive help resources and multiple support channels, though individual experiences may vary. While ADP is often perceived as having premium pricing compared to some competitors, many businesses find the reliability and breadth of services justify the cost. As a global provider handling sensitive HR and payroll data, ADP also places a strong emphasis on security and privacy, investing significantly in these areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The cost of this platform is higher than that of many other payroll and HR solutions, which can be a significant drawback for small businesses. The user interface also appears somewhat outdated, especially when compared to more modern HR software options. Additionally, there is a tendency to charge extra for many useful features, which can feel like nickel-and-diming. Customer support is another area of concern, as some users have experienced inconsistent service and long wait times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
