## QuickBooks Online Advanced Reviews
 ### 1. Affordable Software with Seamless Integrations and Helpful AI Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 596Insulation A. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It helps us keep up with our daily needs! We can access Reports and Data easily and quickly that would take us hours to physically sort through! Also, QB is always updating with new features that make it more efficient. It integrates with our other apps easily and it is affordable for the support you receive. The AI help tremendously with supporting the things we use every day. It was so easy to get it all onboarded and they offer a lot of support. Ther perfermance does well.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The only thing we would improve on QB is to make it more customizable to each industry. If we dont use QB Payroll our books are not exactly correct and our employee expenses are unable to be added through time unless you use their system. We shouldnt have to change payroll to have it seemlessly coincide together. It is so easy to navigate that we our entire office uses it daily.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it does help us invoice easily and keep up with our books better than we can physically.

 ### 2. Cloud-Based Convenience with Helpful AI, HR Tools, and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather . | Accountant/HR Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I love that it’s cloud-based, so anyone I want to have access to the program can get in easily. I also really like that QBO has finally started adding more HR-related tools. It also offers a lot of great integrations with different programs that you may already be using at your business. The new AI features have also been really helpful and useful!

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The support feature is really frustrating. It's difficult to get in touch with a live person, and when you do, it's not always guaranteed that they speak English very well. Before you even get to a live person, you have to go through this whole online chat process which usually ends up being more frustrating than helpful.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QBO is very helpful with budgeting and budget analysis. We use this feature a lot for our non profit business to aid us with forecasting, which is imperative when your revenue is based strictly on donations. Using the product is easy and pretty straightforward. The speed of the program is usually really great and helps with performance.

 ### 3. Stronger Visibility and Reporting with QuickBooks Online Advanced

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany W. | Director of Business Operations, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced is that it gives us a much stronger accounting and operations foundation without feeling overly complicated. Coming from QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, I was initially cautious about moving more of our accounting workflow online, but QBO Advanced has been a strong fit and has made access, reporting, integrations, and day-to-day visibility much easier.

The most valuable part for me is the visibility. I can quickly review financials, track activity, customize reports, and get a clearer picture of where the business stands without having to dig through multiple systems or spreadsheets. The reporting and dashboard tools help save time and make it easier to share useful information with owners, managers, or outside accounting support.

I also appreciate that QuickBooks seems to be actively working to improve the system. Features like invoice and receipt capture/OCR are helpful because they reduce manual entry and make it easier to keep records organized. It is not always perfect, but the direction is valuable, especially for businesses that process a lot of vendor invoices and need a more efficient workflow.

Overall, QBO Advanced has improved our workflow by helping centralize accounting, reporting, and business management. It is user-friendly enough for regular use, but still has enough advanced features to support a growing company.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Overall, there is not a lot I dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced, but one area that could be stronger is integrations. The integrations we use work for our company and are a big part of the value, but some connections can still feel limited depending on the outside software, the type of data being synced, or how much customization is needed.

For a growing business, especially one trying to connect accounting with operations, estimating, job costing, payroll, document management, or other workflow tools, smoother and more flexible integrations would make QBO Advanced even more powerful. Better field mapping, more consistent sync options, and clearer troubleshooting when something does not transfer correctly would save time and reduce the need for manual review.

I would also like to see stronger AI and intelligence tools. Features like invoice and receipt capture/OCR are helpful and moving in the right direction, but they still require oversight. It would be valuable if QuickBooks could go further by helping analyze trends, flag unusual transactions, identify changes in vendor spending, summarize cash flow, or provide more proactive business insights.

Another improvement area would be customization. QBO Advanced already offers helpful reporting and workflow tools, but more flexibility with dashboards, reports, custom fields, user views, and workflows would make it easier to tailor the system to the way each business actually operates.

That said, these are improvement areas rather than deal breakers. QBO Advanced still works well for our company, but stronger integrations, more dependable automation, smarter insights, and deeper customization would make the platform even better.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced is helping us run a more organized accounting and business operation without needing a large administrative team. Before using QBO Advanced, more processes had to be tracked manually or through separate spreadsheets, reminders, and disconnected systems. Now, we can keep more of our accounting activity, reporting, vendor information, customer information, invoices, bills, reminders, and workflows in one place.

One of the biggest problems it solves is visibility. We can quickly see where things stand financially, review reports, track activity, and keep better control over day-to-day accounting tasks. This helps us make decisions faster and reduces the time spent searching for information or confirming whether something has been completed.

The automation, reminders, and workflow tools are also very helpful for a lean company. They help reduce manual follow-up, keep recurring tasks from being missed, and create more consistency in our processes. Even small time savings add up when you are managing accounting, operations, vendors, customers, and job-related activity with a smaller team.

QBO Advanced also benefits us by giving the company room to grow. The user permissions, reporting options, integrations, and cloud access make it easier to support multiple people in the business while still keeping financial information organized and controlled.

Overall, QuickBooks Online Advanced helps us stay lean, improve visibility, reduce manual tracking, and keep our accounting workflow more organized. It gives us a better foundation to manage the business today while also supporting future growth.

 ### 4. QuickBooks Online: Helpful AI, Smooth Performance, and Easy Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corinne M. | EXECUTIVE ADMIN, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I truly enjoy working with QuickBooks Online. The AI features are so helpful when I have questions or just when I need assistance with matching bank transactions. I love how I can integrate my Mailchimp account with QuickBooks as well. The performance of the site is never slow and I rarely have hang-ups or lags. Navigating the site is pretty straightforward and if I do ever need assistance, support is readily available. The price increases do happen a little frequently, but I do think it is worth the price.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The only dislike I would have is when QuickBooks Online reaches out to you for something it can be confusing. And there are times when I am told I would receive an email with updating information and never get one.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Payroll portion of QuickBooks online is a huge benefit! And the AI Agent really makes things so much easier but verifying time for employees and getting payroll ready for me to turn in.

 ### 5. Keeps Our Construction Business Organized Anywhere with QuickBooks Online Advanced

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Carlos Z. | Chief executive officer, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced is that it helps me keep my construction business organized in one place. I use it for estimates, invoices, payments, expenses, and tracking my business activity for Foundation First Contractors. It makes it easier to stay on top of customer billing, see what has been sent out, and keep better records as the company grows. I also like that I can access it online from different devices, which helps when I’m moving between job sites, the office, and meetings.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming because there are a lot of features and settings to learn. Some areas take time to understand, especially when trying to set everything up correctly for a construction business. I also wish certain reports and job-costing tools were easier to customize without needing extra help. Overall, the software is very useful, but the learning curve can be challenging when you are busy running the day-to-day operations of a business.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps solve the problem of keeping my business finances, estimates, invoices, payments, and expenses organized in one place. As a construction business owner, I have to manage multiple projects, customers, vendors, and job-related costs, so having a system that keeps records together is very important.

It benefits me by helping me stay on top of what has been billed, what has been paid, and what still needs attention. It also helps me keep better records as Foundation First Contractors grows, which makes it easier to make business decisions, track cash flow, and stay more organized instead of trying to manage everything manually.

 ### 6. Powerful enough for serious finance work, simple enough to scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alex v. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

As an outsourced finance lead working across multiple nonprofit clients, what I value most is that QBO lets me manage several entities from a single login without having to reinvent my workflow each time. The bank feeds and rules dramatically reduce reconciliation time, the invoicing is clean and customizable, and the class/location tracking makes fund and program-level reporting genuinely usable instead of feeling like a bolt-on. The audit trail and role-based permissions also make it straightforward to maintain clean books that stand up to a board review or an external audit. And because it’s the de facto standard, nearly every app I rely on—expense tools, payroll, donor systems—already integrates with it.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It isn’t purpose-built for nonprofits, so getting true fund accounting in place takes some initial setup using classes and custom reports. The pricing has also gradually crept up over time. Neither of these has been a dealbreaker for me, but they’re definitely worth knowing before you dive in.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QBO is the operational backbone for delivering professional-grade finance functions to organizations that can't staff a full in-house team. The core wins are real-time visibility into cash position, faster monthly closes, cleaner AR/AP management, and reporting that's board- and audit-ready—which lets smaller organizations operate with the financial discipline of much larger ones.
On performance, it's reliable and fast even when I'm jumping between multiple client books in a single day. Bank feeds sync consistently, large transaction registers stay responsive, and I rarely lose time to lag or downtime—which matters when month-end is on a deadline.
Onboarding and support have made standing up new clients far less painful than I expected. Migrating data, mapping the chart of accounts, and getting a new entity to a usable state is well-documented, and between in-product guidance and live expert help, I can resolve setup questions without stalling the engagement. The huge user and ProAdvisor community means answers to edge cases are usually a search away.
The AI and intelligence layer is where it's improved the most recently. Intuit Assist handles a lot of the repetitive work—suggesting transaction categorizations that actually learn my patterns, drafting invoices and payment reminders, and surfacing cash flow and anomaly insights I'd otherwise have to dig for. It doesn't replace judgment, but it takes the manual grind out of the routine work so I can spend my time on analysis and advising rather than data entry.

 ### 7. Easy to Use and Reconcile for Managing Multiple Accounts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa T. | Bookkeeper, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Overall, QuickBooks is very easy to use and navigate. I can quickly write checks from two different accounts and categorize them based on the activity account I’m using. I use it for a school district to manage both our activity accounts and our Imprest accounts. It’s also straightforward to reconcile, and it helps me keep track of all the activity accounts that teachers and clubs may have.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

My main dislike online is when I’m running reports: I’d like to see totals for just that fiscal year, but I find it harder to navigate and filter to get exactly what I need. Mainly, it feels like I have to close out each year to make the reports come out right, and I didn’t have to do that with QuickBooks software.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Help AI features have been great for troubleshooting. This has made things a lot easier and less time consuming.

 ### 8. Six Months Waiting on an ACH Fix and Endless Support Runarounds

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eileen M. | office manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I love the project function it allows you to track expenses for projects

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The fact that I have been waiting for 6 months to get ACH function fixed and that I have spent over 20 hrs with customer service and their only suggestion was to start a new company over again and to charge me for it. I love explaining myself over and over again to multiple reps and just get transferred to do it all over again and then when they send to "engineers" to fix you are unable to talk to them and then they just close your ticket and say "they dont have enough information" then I get to start ALL OVER AGAIN

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

they dont solve anything they expect you to fix it over the phone and I have waited 6 months for ACH function and they NEVER follow up. Its VERY disappointing

 ### 9. Smooth Transition from QB Desktop with Strong Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith S. | Head of Finance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Transition from QB Desktop was very smooth. Features are very good

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

1) the interface is poor- this is resolved by using the Desktop app, but if the Desktop app weren't available, we would not use QB online. I dislike the native interface that much
2) the lack of inventory warehouses (similar to QB Desktop advanced inventory) is a severe limitation. if this isn't added, this will be the reason we move to a different solution
3) it drives me crazy that we can't edit the PO form, at a minimum, can't remove the approved by" language. this is a big business interruption as we sent PO thru email and sometimes vendors see "approved by (blank)" and ignore our PO because they assume it's not approved

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

quick reporting, solid customer invoicing, I like sending PO & Invoices directly thru Q

 ### 10. Great for Growing Teams, Expensive & Sometimes Frustrating

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick W. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like the reporting and insights -- custom dashboards, KPI tracking, forecasting give good visibility. Scaling to 25 users with different roles makes it easy to share the load across the team. Instant backup and restore has saved me a couple of times.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced is expensive (often $235–$275/month after promos), and my boss feels the frequent price increases aren’t matched by proportional improvements. Setup and advanced features can get complex and messy without careful planning.

Customer support is often slow or unhelpful despite the “priority” tier, bank feeds and imports can be glitchy, and the platform sometimes feels bloated with updates that introduce new bugs rather than fixing old ones.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility and reporting were the biggest issues we had. Our board is much happier with our quarterly reports.

 ### 11. Awesome Accounting System for Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donna P. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps us manage our electrical contracting business more efficiently. The customizable reporting, job tracking, and anytime-anywhere access give us better visibility into our finances and save significant administrative time.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Some advanced features can be difficult to find, and certain workflows require more steps than expected. Reporting customization has improved but can still be limiting in some situations. Customer support response times can also vary depending on the complexity of the issue.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps us solve several key business challenges, including tracking job profitability, managing cash flow, monitoring outstanding customer invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. Having real-time access to our financial data allows us to make better business decisions, improve collections, streamline accounting processes, and save significant administrative time across our operations.

 ### 12. Powerful Reporting and Automation, but Too Rigid for Custom Workflows

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I like most is how well it scales as my business grows, without pushing me to add extra software or hire more staff just to keep up. The custom reporting is the real standout—I can build the exact reports I need instead of being boxed into canned templates, and the dashboards give me a real-time view of where things stand financially. Batch invoicing and the automation features save me a lot of repetitive work, and being able to give my team role-based access keeps everyone in the right lane without exposing the entire set of books. For someone running day-to-day operations, it pulls a lot into one place and simply works.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

My biggest frustration is the lack of flexibility when it comes to modifying the program to fit how my business actually runs. It's built to work a certain way, and if your workflow doesn't line up with that, you're stuck adapting your business to the software instead of the other way around. There are features I'd love to adjust or restructure to match my processes, but the system just doesn't allow that level of customization. For a platform marketed as "Advanced," it's surprisingly rigid in the areas where I most need it to bend.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps create a recieveable report that I can use to remind customers about outstanding invoices. because of the nature of our business the actual patients name could not be listed as customers, so the program extracted the patients name form the invoice.

 ### 13. QuickBooks Online Advanced Makes Business Finances Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taryn S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced allows me to efficiently and effectively serve my clients in a way that I can easily understand. As someone that is not naturally financially minded, I appreciate the ease with which QuickBooks Online Advanced allows me to navigate through the financial pieces of my business while giving me options to better understand step-by-step procedures.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Sometimes I feel that the pop-up's are a bit excessive. That said, I do find some of them to be extremely helpful.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recently, QuickBooks Online Advanced helped me understand and resolve an issue regarding merchant processing fees and how to best communicate these to my active clients. Being able to use this as a quickly available resource was extremely beneficial to my clients' experience.

 ### 14. Frustrating Transition from Desktop to Online

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reyna K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

NOTHING, Ipreferred the desktop version more.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I personally don't like QuickBooks Online Advanced. I wish I never went over to QuickBooks Online Advanced. If I could somehow go back to the desktop version without too much hassle, I would do it in a heartbeat. I don't value any of the QuickBooks Online Advanced features because the desktop has way more features. The desktop allowed me to do much more personalization and put things in categories that made sense to me. Once porting over to the Online Advanced version, it took away a lot of the individual things that I needed it to do, and it put things in ridiculous categories. I don't believe that the online advanced deserves the name advanced. It needs to go back to everything that the desktop version has in order to be advanced. If you're moving somebody from the desktop version to the online version, then you need to move them over with all the same features. And if you're not moving them over with the same features, you need to move them over with better features, not take them away. The initial setup was a huge pain, and the porting was done incredibly poorly by the QuickBooks team, and I lost multiple files. The payroll was done incredibly bad, and to this day, we still don't have everything.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced to keep track of our inventory, monitor vehicle and trailer repairs, customize invoices with DOT numbers, and bill our customers. These are the SAME things I used QuickBooks Desktop for also.

 ### 15. Reliable Financial Management but Improvements Needed in Contractor Payments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Augusta D. | Wholesale Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like that QuickBooks Online Advanced is a trusted platform that my bookkeepers prefer to use. It's great for keeping all of our payment records in one place and provides an easy invoicing process for clients. I particularly value the invoicing and customer management features, as these are the ones I deal with the most.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Payroll and paying contractors. I have not been able to activate or be able to send contractor payments through QuickBooks and am paying for this service. And I have been through several customer service calls now at this point to do this. I have been paying for the service and have not been able to actually use it. It's very frustrating. I don't intend to use it for payroll right now, but would like to eventually have that option. I would also like to see better reporting.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced to keep all of our payment records in one place and for an easy invoicing process for clients.

 ### 16. Versatile But Occasional Payroll Frustrations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I really like that I can access QuickBooks Online Advanced from anywhere, which is extremely helpful when we travel for business. Being able to check on the bank balance, payroll, and receivables from anywhere we travel is valuable. I'm also exploring the mineral aspect, which seems like it could be incredibly helpful, especially for setting up new employee handbooks and various other tasks.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I get frustrated in that sometimes, especially in the payroll functions, it changes various things. Or it will change an employee randomly from direct deposit to a paycheck. And then it takes quite a while on the phone to get that corrected and fixed, so that it doesn't happen again.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced keeps my payroll integrated with accounting tasks, eliminating the need for a separate payroll manager, and allows me to access financials from anywhere, which is extremely helpful for business travel.

 ### 17. QuickBooks Online Advanced: Affordable and Feature-Rich

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory M. | COO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like the Intuit Intelligence or AI features in QuickBooks Online Advanced, especially for the income statement and other reports we run. These features help us perform trend analysis and highlight important insights, which is quite useful for our financial statements. I also appreciate the functionality that allows us to save certain types of helpful reports, such as those on a unit-level basis. This includes the ability to directly bill customers for things like deposits or invoices. The AI features have been very helpful for our team, who aren't particularly AI-savvy, in catching mistakes and providing better context for running the business at the CFO level. Additionally, the capability to save reports on a unit level is extremely helpful for generating owner statements, whether at the unit level or rolled up to a portfolio level. QuickBooks allows us to use specific fields to generate PNL or income statements at a unit level, streamlining our reporting process.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I think that QuickBooks Online is a good general-purpose tool. It is not very intuitive or set up well for our particular property management world. It would be helpful if there were modules or ways to customize trust accounting or the ability to have a parent and a subsidiary company in a more streamlined fashion, similar to the way other larger property managers set up.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for reporting and as an accounting system of record, which fits our needs without unnecessary ERP components. Its cost-effectiveness is compelling, and it supports trust accounting for properties managed on behalf of others.

 ### 18. More Done in Less Time with QuickBooks Online Advanced using AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I really enjoy the automation features available in QuickBooks Online Advance. When you don’t have a large office staff, those tools make a big difference. The automatic matching for bank transactions is especially helpful, and being able to create entries directly from the bank feed is quick and easy without having to navigate to a new screen. Our vendors and our team can also email bills straight into the system, and QuickBooks Online Advanced scans the PDF invoice, matches the vendor, and suggests the best account. It can even copy my previous coding line by line or summarize the invoice into one line, depending on what I prefer.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

When we first started using QuickBooks Online Advanced, it was a bit frustrating to import our prior information because there wasn’t a direct link. We ended up moving journal entries 1,000 lines at a time using the Excel/CSV import feature. That import option wasn’t available on some of the other QuickBooks Online levels. For our company, having our previous sales information in the system was important so we could compare our growth and make use of the financial charts available in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced was a more affordable, online option compared to our previous accounting platform. That platform was great and did everything we needed, but the pricing was higher, and with the downturn in the economy we needed to cut costs while still keeping the benefits of working online. QuickBooks Online Advanced is accessible wherever we have an internet connection, whether through the app or on a desktop. We can pull a report, pay a bill, or invoice a customer in just a few minutes. We are also able to utilize a direct API integration with our Inventory system, saving us days of manual entry time for no additional cost.

 ### 19. Manage Your Business Anywhere with QuickBooks Online Advanced

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced is the ability to manage the business from anywhere. Being able to access everything online from any computer, whether I am in the office, at home, or traveling, is extremely important compared to the old desktop version that was limited to one computer.

I also appreciate that QuickBooks is continuously improving and developing new features. It feels like the platform keeps getting better over time instead of staying the same.

Another great thing is that QuickBooks offers many tools in one place, such as accounting, reporting, payroll, taxes, invoicing, expenses, and other business features. This makes it easier to manage different parts of the business without needing too many separate systems. Overall, it is convenient, reliable, and very helpful for keeping the business organized.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I dislike most about QuickBooks Online Advanced is the pricing structure. I feel like once my business is set up and fully using QuickBooks, I become locked into the system, and then the price keeps increasing over time.

The issue is not only the cost itself, but the lack of control. After one or two years, the subscription price can go up again, and because all my accounting, reports, payroll, taxes, and business records are already inside QuickBooks, it becomes difficult to switch to another system.

I understand that software companies may increase prices sometimes, but I would prefer more predictable pricing, better long-term price protection, or more loyalty consideration for existing customers. The platform is very useful, but the increasing expense is definitely something I dislike.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced is solving several important problems for my business. I own a car dealership, and it helps me manage the financial side of the business in a much more organized and professional way. It allows me to keep track of transactions, expenses, income, reports, and the financing-related parts of my operations all in one system.

This would be very difficult, if not impossible, to manage properly using Excel or a basic accounting system. QuickBooks gives me better control, better visibility, and more confidence that everything is organized correctly.

It also helps me manage payroll directly through the platform. I can handle my company’s payroll without needing a third-party payroll provider or depending completely on an outside accounting office for that part of the business. This saves time, reduces extra costs, and gives me more control over my business operations.

Overall, QuickBooks Online Advanced helps me stay organized, manage my business more efficiently, and keep the accounting and payroll side under control.

 ### 20. Efficient and Accessible, But Needs Improved Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leigh L. | Senior Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I love that QuickBooks Online Advanced is online, allowing me to access it from anywhere, even when I'm on vacation. It's like I'm sitting in my office at home. I also appreciate how easy it is to get reports and the information I need. Exporting detailed information is straightforward, and setting up new classes and products is simple. With so many changes and updates we need to handle, QuickBooks makes it easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I think some of the integrations could be improved. I've really struggled with an integration they have with Amazon. When it works, it works really well, but a lot of times, there's just huge delays, and I'm trying to come up with workarounds. Also, QuickBooks trips us up sometimes because they'll make updates to the template that is needed for uploading sales receipts, and I don't get notified of the changes. All of a sudden, uploads are no longer working, and I have to go download a new template. It can be solved, it's not impossible, but I'm not quite sure why we're not told when things are going to change. If there was an update notification, like letting us know that they're gonna update a common form we upload, that'd be great.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced quickly creates meaningful financial statements, involves multiple people in transaction setup, saves payment info, mails checks, tracks receipts, and simplifies reporting. It streamlines financial management, enhances collaboration, and reduces check fraud risks.

 ### 21. Feature-Rich for Small Businesses: Easy Check Printing and Budget Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It has a lot of useful features, especially for smaller companies. Being able to print our own checks and manage our budgets ourselves goes a long way.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I don’t like the addition of AI, especially when it relates to banking. AI doesn’t need to be involved in finance given the potential for errors and how specific funds can be. I’d like an option to turn off the AI integration.

I also don’t like that the layout keeps changing, because it makes it harder to find what I’m looking for. We use the payroll feature as well, and we’re required to have a QBO file and pay our payroll taxes through it instead of doing it ourselves, which can create more opportunities for mistakes.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QBO makes it easy to view all transactions, although I’d prefer a stronger search function that defaults to ALL transactions rather than a “custom” time frame.

The ability to display linked payments and invoices also makes it easier to track expenses across our projects and to manage restricted funds for certain projects.

 ### 22. Modern, Fast, and Feature-Rich Upgrade

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lenny J. | Executive Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QuickBooks Online Advance has many features that work well and better than QuickBooks Desktop, as that was the transition for me. The user interface is more modern looking and easier to use. The integration with other data bases is simpler and the performance is faster in my opinion. The pricing is more expensive than desktop, but I sure it's due to the cloud storage and the utilization of more features. The onboarding was simple, but did not go too much in depth on how to use all the features accordingly, will need to explore on your own and get familiarized with all the available features. The AI function is very intuitive, can help with quick questions and customer service.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The features that are available takes sometime to utilize correctly, as the platform varies from its desktop version.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It much more intuitive and easier to handle than desktop, but only once you get use to the platform features.

 ### 23. Comprehensive but Overwhelming for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like that QuickBooks Online Advanced allows us to keep track of our sales, purchases, and expenditures. It gives us the ability to forecast the future and see how quickly or slowly certain customers pay their invoices. I also appreciate the dashboard, which lets me see current sales and quickly compare them to previous years or quarters. The available reports, like our P&L, are very useful. The initial setup was pretty easy, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I think some of it's a little overwhelming if you're not used to it. For smaller businesses, it's a little cumbersome or a little too over the top. It has some features that we don't use.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced to track sales, purchases, and expenditures. It helps us forecast the future and monitor customer invoice payments. The dashboard provides quick comparisons of sales data, which is really useful for our business.

 ### 24. Interactive AI Support and Detailed Reports That Make Trend Reviews Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeanette B. | Sr. Sales Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The AI support is interactive and provides quick reports that make reviewing sales trends and spending fast and easy. Overall, the reporting is detailed and straightforward to adjust to my requirements. Customer support is also available when needed, and the team is knowledgeable in their respective areas.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Even though you have your own customer service team, it still takes time to get through, and I often get bounced around until I finally reach the right person who can help.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t have any problems that QB Online Advanced is currently solving for me. It runs the way it should, and I’m able to complete tasks quickly and efficiently without any issues.

 ### 25. Efficient, Easy-to-Use Accounting Tool for Small Agencies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Founder & Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I find QuickBooks Online Advanced very easy to use on both mobile and desktop. Having similar access and a consistent user interface across both platforms is a big benefit for me. I don't have to learn two different user interfaces, and everything mostly provides the same experience, which makes life and business a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I think one of the areas would be having a way to chart my accounts and what I invoice my clients for, like, the different service types. But then having a way to show my client an invoice that makes more sense to them. So while I might need to invoice one way to keep my book straight, my clients wanna see an invoice that more so reflects the exact work descriptions that we're doing for them, and there's not a way to do that.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for daily bookkeeping, generating P&Ls and balance sheets, and keeping my recurring revenue organized. It makes life and business easier with a consistent experience across mobile and desktop.

 ### 26. Invoice Duplication Saves Time and Simplifies Billing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Duplicating invoices saves a lot of time, since I don’t have to retype the customer and billing information every time.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Batch billing is an issue. I need to go into the old format and if I go past 20 lines it doesn't accept the information as well. Additionally, adding multiple vendors in the same batch can be glitchy.

Printing. If I want to print a customer invoice, I need to select the customer, select the invoice, select options, select print, then a preview comes up and I select print again, then the printer form comes up and I select print again. Once printed, I close the print preview, have to select whether to accept whether to record if I printed or not, then close the invoice - before I can go to the next invoice and do the process again. Very time consuming when numerous invoices need to be printed at the same time.

Not sure this one can be solved, but I have multiple companies and have to switch between them often. It would be nice if I could open them up under different tabs at the same time, but it does not currently allow for it, causing alot of wasted time. Example: I have an invoice from each company to be sent to one customer. I have to switch from one to the other to ensure seamless invoicing. But 3 of my sales reps do the double invoicing, ensuring separation of our catering and venue billing. If I have 4 from each sales reps and need to do one at a time to ensure seamless invoicing. I will need to switch back and forth 12 times. Switching takes 2-3mins each time (that's over half an hour just to swap on invoicing).

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customized reporting is a favorite feature, as I have specific needs and this allows much customization and saving of that report for future use.

 ### 27. Robust Features, Painful Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alex b. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I find QuickBooks Online Advanced to be a stable software with a lot of help available, not just from the software itself but also from other businesses that can run my QuickBooks. I like the ability to hire someone to manage it. I'm also happy with the bill pay feature, especially the ability to ACH and ship out paper checks. It's really valuable that QuickBooks can send checks on my behalf, making my accounting process a lot smoother. Plus, I like how it integrates seamlessly with my project management software, JobTread, making it a huge advantage for my operations.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I'm trying to think here. Man, you can make it free. It'd be great. It was a pain in the ***. And, you know, it took us a while to actually have a wherewithal of QuickBooks. So I would say QuickBooks can definitely improve by, you know, maybe having a class on some best practices, you know, maybe cut more tailored and, like, a client success manager to kinda get you off the ground. And helping us know because it took a while to be able to articulate to somebody else what we actually need QuickBooks to do, and that was a real pain in the ***.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find QuickBooks Online Advanced solves the problem of pulling big financial reports easily and consolidating accounts payable into bill pay and vendor management.

 ### 28. Easy Navigation, Time-saving imports, Needs Refinement for Construction

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It is easy to use and navigate between the different applications. The ability to upload PDF files to create bills using AI is a time-saver. I like that I can open several different tabs at the same time to compare data within different applications. The pricing is reasonable for a small company. I feel like they are always looking for ways to improve the product as well.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It isn't designed in a way that is ideal for construction companies, which is what our business is. I also wish bills could be imported using the product/services section of the bill rather than the categories so we would have better insights into what we are buying. There's no functionality to run a report that gives me that data unless the items are entered as products instead of categories. The help function often leads to answers that aren't relevant to what I'm trying to figure out.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to be able to track project cost so I know how much I am spending versus how much I estimated.

 ### 29. Missing Key QB Desktop Features Despite Easy Data Uploads

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim M. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It’s widely used, so it’s easy to hire accountants who already have prior QB experience. It also lets me upload data from other programs, such as Ramp and Kelly Benefits, which makes the transition and ongoing work much smoother.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Missing features from QB desktop. When an employee is assigned to change the dates on a custom report, it creates a new report instead of simply updating or replacing the existing custom report. New employees also don’t have access to the existing custom reports. On large custom reports, the print/export buttons are pushed all the way to the far right of the spreadsheet, so you have to scroll right just to reach them. Custom reports are automatically alphabetized, and there’s no way to customize their order.

Balance sheet reports also can’t be filtered by account—only by Customer, Vendor name, Product/Service, and Class. After using the Recurring Transactions function, the transaction doesn’t automatically roll forward to the next month’s date, so the user has to manually edit the Recurring Transaction template.

Customized Budget to Actual reports also automatically scroll down, which hides the editable fields used to create the report and forces the user to scroll back to the top every time they need to make a change.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to keep two entities open at the same time, which is very valuable since we have many transactions between them. It also provides some flexibility to name report line items, so the reports can align with the GAAP accounting naming conventions required for nonprofits. QuickBooks Online flags those accounts that appear to be missing entries for the month.

 ### 30. Intuitive Yet Needs Mobile Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like the ease of use of QuickBooks Online Advanced; it's very straightforward and intuitive. It can integrate with other software, like banking apps, which makes it very nice and handy to have. The software's integrative capability allows me to not pull in all transactions manually since it downloads banking statements automatically, making things seamless and easy.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The biggest problem I have with QuickBooks, in general, is just their apps. The app on my phone is just god awful. Can't run reports. Can't really do anything. I mean, it's very simple-minded, and it needs to be much more robust and more serviceable. If I could maybe save three specific reports, like if I want a P and L report, if I could just pull that from the phone app that would be a huge help. QuickBooks doesn't always pay the end users quickly as I need them to.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps me quickly pull reports and keeps everything organized. Its ease of use, intuitive design, and seamless integration with banking apps make my bookkeeping tasks straightforward and efficient.

 ### 31. Scalable, Feature-Rich Accounting Solution for Growing Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cydnie L. | Administrative Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

One of the biggest advantages is the advanced reporting functionality. The ability to create custom reports, automate workflows, and gain deeper financial insights has helped streamline decision-making and improve visibility across the organization. The user permissions and role-based access controls are also a standout feature, enabling us to maintain strong internal controls while collaborating across departments.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

That said, there is a learning curve—especially for users transitioning from simpler accounting systems. Some customization options can feel a bit limited, and performance may occasionally lag when working with large datasets or complex reports. Pricing is also on the higher end, which may not be ideal for smaller teams.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advanced, customizable reporting and analytics

 ### 32. Time-Saving and Efficient with Comprehensive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard M. | Director of Discovery Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for capturing invoices and attaching them to expense items, which is a great feature. It lets me do reconciliations on a monthly basis and saves me a lot of time. It's really helpful for auditing and gives me the ability to capture all the information for any item in one spot. My outside accountants use this, which is great. I don't have anything to complain about QuickBooks Online Advanced; it gives me all the tools I need to be more efficient.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I do not have any issues with Quickbooks Online.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced lets me capture and attach invoices to expense items, perform monthly reconciliations, and centralize information for efficient auditing, saving me significant time. It's a helpful tool for both my business and my accountants. It also allows me to capture revenue items, such as checks and ACH payments.

 ### 33. QuickBooks Advanced: Excel-Like Batch Entry, Fast Reports, and Expert-Guided Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahi S. | IT Head, Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The Batch Entry tool feels like using Excel inside QuickBooks. You can copy-paste hundreds of rows of data at once instead of clicking "Save and New" a thousand times. Also you can set "If/Then" rules. Example: IF an invoice is 10 days late, THEN automatically email the client AND CC the sales rep. In 2026, Advanced includes expert-guided setup. You get a 1:1 session with a "Success Manager" who helps you migrate your data (especially from Desktop to Online) and ensures your Chart of Accounts is set up correctly. Advanced is optimized for larger data sets. While the basic tiers might "hang" or lag when generating a year-long Profit & Loss statement with thousands of entries, Advanced uses more robust server resources to process those reports in seconds. Unexpected Savings: Because Advanced includes 25 users, many companies save money by moving their team off expensive third-party "reporting" or "approval" apps and doing everything directly inside QuickBooks. Also In the Advanced tier, the AI isn't just a chatbot; it is an "agent" that works in the background across your entire data set.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Learning Curve: Because there are so many custom fields and workflow options, it takes a bit of time to set up properly.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced is no longer just "accounting software"—it's a Business Intelligence tool. It is most valuable for teams that are tired of "manual cleanup" and want the software to tell them what to do rather than just what happened.

 ### 34. Streamlined Financial Management with Robust Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lana N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I like the time tracking features with the QuickBooks Time integration, which makes managing employee pay rates and projects easier. The integration with Human Interest for the 401(k) compliance is really valuable and ensures we stay compliant. Payroll is easy, and the vendor payment tracking simplifies creating a bill, applying it to a project, and paying vendors. Overall, these integrations and features work well for us.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It would be great to have everything in one software program, but I think that that's a little bit unrealistic as far as what QuickBooks capabilities would be. As far as QuickBooks Online Advanced, it's functioning besides having glitches here and there.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced keeps our payroll and invoicing organized, facilitates vendor payments, and simplifies compliance through 401(k) integration. Time tracking integrates employee pay rates directly with projects, making vendor payment tracking easy and efficient.

 ### 35. Efficiency!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keely D. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I love how it connects to our bank and credit card accounts, so we don’t have to manually enter transactions. It really simplifies everything and has greatly increased our efficiency.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I don’t like that the web version doesn’t let you open multiple tabs. We work with multiple company files, and it would be really helpful to keep several companies open at the same time without having to rely on the desktop app.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that once I set up the automations, I don’t have to remember everything. With rules, recurring transactions, and similar features in place, I can let the system work for me.

 ### 36. Automatic Transaction Downloads Make Reconciliation So Much Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonia C. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

automatic download transactions on accounts makes reconciling so much easier

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The inability to change dates on some transactions to assign them to the correct month for closing dates on month since we are a cash basis every month is zero but if I don't issue payment till next month I cant change it unless I pay by print. I also hoped for a better display of paying deductions from employees. example if I deduct for health insurance or for HSA it should automatically create either a bill or a check waiting to be processed currently I have to run a report figure out how much of each payroll liability i have to create bill for and pay.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like some of their reports gives me insight into what is different from month to month or year to year

 ### 37. Pros and Cons of Using QB

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I use it extensively to enter invoices and process payments, and it has been extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

One issue is that when QuickBooks automatically reads and imports invoices, it occasionally captures information incorrectly, requiring me to make manual corrections. In particular, when there are vendors with similar names, the system can sometimes assign the invoice to the wrong vendor. As a result, I need to carefully review each invoice before processing it.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QB is extremely useful for organizing and processing invoices. My company requires both weekly and monthly reports, and I am able to produce high-quality reports thanks to QB's many features.

 ### 38. Remote Accessibility with Trade-offs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I really appreciate the online access anywhere with QuickBooks Online Advanced. It lets me track my company's profit and loss, customer sales, and accounts payable, which is important for our operations.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I'm not a fan of the constant access and format changes, which means we have to keep retraining ourselves. It could also have a better marketing platform for e-blasting customers and should be able to break down sales by city or town to help us see where most of our business is coming from. The initial setup was a bit confusing, especially with the inaccurate chart of accounts and the difficulty in removing initial coding.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for tracking my company's profit, loss, and customer sales. It helps with accounts payable but requires constant retraining due to access and format changes.

 ### 39. Intuitive and Secure, Perfect for Data Protection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismet C. | Adjunct Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I really like that QuickBooks Online Advanced is intuitive and flows through nicely. There's a sense of security with it, which gives me peace of mind knowing that my data is protected, especially in case of loss or virus issues. It's valuable to me because it's easier for my team to use, and some of the features are automatic, so I don't have to constantly reset the storage. Having the ability to access a snapshot of data from a particular time for catastrophic purposes makes me feel secure.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

So far, I have no issues with it.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced protects my data from loss or viruses, giving me peace of mind. It's intuitive and easy for my team to use, with features like automatic storage handling. I can restore snapshots to prevent data loss from file corruption.

It's easy and user-friendly. It's amazing how we can access all the information instantly.

Information security, accessibility, time management, and organization within the financial process.

 ### 41. Advanced Workflows and Invoice Uploads That Add Real Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria G. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The advanced features, like workflows and bill/invoice uploads, are helpful. The higher plan in QB also includes more useful features overall.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It takes some time to understand the features and program options. You really have to learn and explore the program to fully get it. The integrations are very limited, and most cost extra to use the features. There’s also a lack of support.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The QuickBooks Advanced program is helping me better understand the many facets of the business side. The AI help is beneficial as well, especially for making it easier to understand how to use the program.

 ### 42. Easy to Use, Efficient with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micaela H. | Paralegal, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I appreciate how QuickBooks Online Advanced keeps all my accounting in one place, making it easy to manage finances. The platform is easy to use, which is great because I'm not an accountant, and it also helps me with my personal budget. The pricing is good, and they offer free trials. The support team is quick to resolve any issues I encounter, and I like that there are tutorials available when I need them. Additionally, I value that it allows me to add an accountant when necessary. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

maybe adding more payment options for clients if I send an invoice. Also, maybe being able to select which one to make available for the client.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced keeps all my accounting in one place and is easy to use, making it simple for me to manage both business finances and a personal budget.

The customizable dashboards and detailed reporting tools make it easy to track performance and quickly access the data I need. The automation features—especially for recurring invoices, approvals, and workflows—save a significant amount of time and reduce manual errors. Integrations with other business apps also work smoothly, which helps keep our entire process connected. Overall, it improves efficiency, visibility, and accuracy across our financial operations.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

There are not enough resources for customeized report.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bank reconcilation.

 ### 44. Easy-to-Use QBO with Hassle-Free Bank Sync

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer M. | Accounting/HR Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It’s easy to use, and I really appreciate that QBO syncs with my bank account so I can confirm transactions without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The only issue I have with QBO Advanced is that, sometimes, when I try to revise a transaction, it won’t save. I end up having to close out of the program and sign in again before the transaction will save properly.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QBO can remember a category and automatically apply it to a transaction, which saves me time because I don’t have to go back and code the transaction manually.

 ### 45. AI Features Reduce Bookkeeping Stress, But Pricey for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for my small welding business, specifically for estimating, invoicing, and bookkeeping. I appreciate how it helps me keep track of past-due invoices and easily balance my books while tracking spending. I like the AI features that automatically help take care of the books, which takes some stress off my plate in ensuring everything is balanced. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I have used the bookkeeping service for quite many years. And it would be better if there was different pricing tiers available, as it can become a large expense for a small business

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for estimating, invoicing, and bookkeeping. It helps track overdue invoices and balance my books, plus the AI features reduce stress in keeping everything balanced.

 ### 46. Best-in-Class Accounting Infrastructure, But with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It provides an infrastructure for teams to manage their accounting work. It is second to none in my experience with accounting software.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

It is not an easy tool to use. Even with accounting knowledge there is a fairly steep learning gap and constant updates do make it difficult to lear anything for too long.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides our team with an infrastructure for our accounting work. We can put a role on top of managing it and we know we have sound accounting we can rely on.

 ### 47. User-Friendly with Robust Bookkeeping Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lika S. | Senior Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I love using QuickBooks Online Advanced for accounting and bookkeeping, especially for its interface and visuals. It's easy to use, which means I don't have to watch a lot of tutorials. I really love how well the AI works. It's user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and not overwhelming. It saves me time on learning how to navigate, and there's less clicking involved. Everything I need is right there, making my work seamless and efficient. The initial setup was pretty easy, too.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Maybe the AI doesn't work as well. Sometimes I have to adjust settings because of the AI. I would like more options to delete or clear items, transactions, or journal entries if done by mistake. Even though items are labeled as inactive, they still sit there, which I don't like.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced streamlines bookkeeping and accounting for all my clients. It's user-friendly, visually pleasing, and intuitive, requiring fewer clicks and tutorial views, saving me time.

 ### 48. Streamlines Financial Tracking, Needs Faster Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaiyu C. | Financial Analyst FP&A, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

I mainly use QuickBooks Online Advanced for tracking expenses, managing multiple invoices, and keeping everything organized in one place. It has made it easier to stay on top of the numbers. It saves me a lot of time since I don't have to switch between different files like I used to with Excel, making it easier to keep track of what's going on financially. I think the reporting is great, and it's easy to keep everything organized. The initial setup is straightforward, and all the UI and layouts make it easy for me to find the necessary buttons.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

Sometimes it feels a bit slow when loading and populating reports when large sets of data are involved. Improving the loading report speed can help a lot, especially when working with larger datasets.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps me track expenses and manage invoices all in one place, saving me time and keeping finances organized. I don’t have to switch between multiple Excel files anymore.

 ### 49. Powerful, Manageable Depth with Time-Saving Automation and Custom Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikola B. | Junior Penetration tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

What I like most about QuickBooks Online Advanced is the depth without it feeling unmanageable. The custom reporting is genuinely useful, especially for tracking multiple entities and getting clean, consolidated views without a lot of manual work. Automation helps too—batch invoicing, recurring transactions, and approval workflows save time every week.

It’s also easy to collaborate. Multiple users can work at once with clear permission controls, which matters as a business grows. It’s not perfect, and some features take setup to get right, but once configured, it becomes a reliable system that reduces busywork and keeps finances organized.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

The biggest drawback of QuickBooks Online Advanced is cost relative to how much setup and maintenance it still requires. Many of the advanced features aren’t plug-and-play and take time to configure properly, which can slow teams down early on. The interface can also feel inconsistent—some workflows are intuitive, while others are buried or require workarounds.

Performance can lag with large data sets, especially in reporting, and support quality varies depending on who you reach. It’s powerful once dialed in, but for smaller teams or those without accounting support, it can feel heavier and more expensive than expected.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Online Advanced helps solve the problem of managing growing financial complexity without moving to a full enterprise system. Before using it, reporting across multiple entities and users was fragmented and time-consuming. Now we can centralize data, automate recurring workflows, and generate detailed reports without heavy manual cleanup.

It’s especially useful for scaling teams—approval workflows, batch transactions, and user permissions reduce errors and back-and-forth. Month-end close is faster, and visibility into cash flow and performance is more consistent. While it takes effort to set up correctly, the payoff is better control, fewer manual processes, and clearer financial insight as the business grows.

 ### 50. QBO Advanced Makes Daily Bank Feeds and Basic Accounting a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QBO Advanced excels at basic accounting needs. I particularly like being able to connect our bank accounts and credit cards accounts directly to the software so transactions are automatically imported daily. This prevents discrepancies from missing transactions.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?**

QBO Advanced can be quite quirky at times. Random unexplainable glitches will happen at times. Also, the project management side of the software is very underdeveloped.

**What problems is QuickBooks Online Advanced solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QBO Advanced has solved a number of issues for us. One of them being aforementioned regarding importing credit card transactions. We used to have to enter these one by one manually. As opposed to the desktop version, we don't have to worry about saving updated copies of the company file anymore. It's all in the cloud.
