I don't like that I can't assign a single administrator to manage both Time & Attendance and Onboarding in one profile. Additionally, only Payroll Administrators can complete onboarding tasks, which limits flexibility and creates unnecessary bottlenecks. I basically point and click, input the information via the user interface, and have immediate access to reports, tax information, EVERYTHING, I need to complete my daily payroll tasks. The speed and ability to integrate the information into any form we need, is what made this the clear choice. We often have to add new Local Tax Jurisdictions, via new hire information, ADP's Live Chat feature, always comes through with the technical support we need to complete onboarding. We were going to go another route until we reviewed the pricing, discussed options with our representative, and found a budget friendly solution that worked best for us! The AI is extremely helpful! What I like most is the 24/7 access to all my payroll needs. The app has helped me submit my payroll from anywhere if I happen to forget to submit it — great tool! What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP? I wish I didn’t have to keep two separate ADP apps on my phone—one for my team and another for my personal clock-in and clock-out. What problems is RUN Powered by ADP solving and how is that benefiting you? Given your AAHA-accredited hospital environment and multi-department staffing needs, this seems like a strong fit overall. Strengths for your use case include reliable payroll across hourly, salaried, relief, and commission-based roles, along with solid compliance support for multi-state credentialing and tax requirements. The integrated time tracking is also a plus for techs, CSRs, kennel staff, and DVMs, and having centralized HR records helps keep onboarding, CE tracking, benefits, and PTO organized in one place. I also appreciate the audit trails for sensitive HR actions, which are especially useful when you need clear documentation for corrective actions. That said, there are a few potential pain points to keep in mind. Reporting can get complex, particularly if you need custom productivity metrics or department-level labor reports. Support may also be slower when you’re trying to resolve more nuanced veterinary payroll scenarios, such as production-based pay. The biggest thing that I do not like is how long we have been with the company and ran many large payrolls and it is a major pain in our type of business because sometimes we run large payrolls last minute and it gets held up because it is so large. I like RUN ADP’s simple interface. It doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles, which makes it much easier to find the critical functions and reports than in other ADP versions I’ve used. The popular reports it highlights are genuinely useful, and most of the time, if I can’t figure something out, the AI agent can point me to the right report to find what I’m looking for. I also like that it’s modular, so you can add or remove services as needed. It performs well and usually doesn’t require much beyond a few data-entry points to accomplish what I need. Support has definitely improved in recent years compared to previous iterations, and the AI agent, in particular, improved dramatically in Q2 2026. Pricing-wise, it tends to be more expensive than other bare-bones services that have been pitched to me. That said, payroll is one of those things that simply needs to work, so we’re comfortable paying a bit more for a long track record of success. The number of available integrations seems robust, but we don’t use any of them, so I can’t really speak to their value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP? The PTO bank and its functions weren’t intuitive, and we ran into issues right from the start. They were fixable, but it still caused a headache. I also don’t like how it feels like I’m constantly being pitched upsells while I’m using the platform—it’s annoying. When I have an issue, I can use the chat for a quick resolution. If I can't find it there, an agent is always very helpful and efficient. I can actually see patients while resolving issues. Sometimes it does weird things like this past time I had an employee who clocked in and out and for some reason, ADP didn't recognize it and charged them a 30 minute lunch which was built in ONLY to happen with 7 continuous hours. What I find most helpful about ADP RUN is that I don’t have to worry about taxes or dealing with the IRS until it’s time to file. I can focus on simply entering my employees’ payroll hours. What I dislike most about ADP RUN is that I have to double-check that holiday hours are entered correctly and that the right amount of pay is entered; otherwise, employees don’t get paid the correct amounts. I also have to manually enter holiday hours because the software doesn’t seem to understand that it should only pay the actual hours worked within the 24-hour holiday period. For example, if someone starts work at 11 on the holiday and works until 5 a.m., it should only pay one hour of holiday pay, but it tries to pay them six hours instead.
