What do you like best about Homebase?

I’ve been using Homebase for over 5 years, and I absolutely love it! The system is incredibly easy to use — everything from scheduling and time tracking to team communication runs smoothly and efficiently. It’s intuitive, reliable, and has made managing day-to-day operations so much simpler.

The user-friendly layout saves me time, and I appreciate that even new team members pick it up right away with minimal training. After trying other platforms in the past, nothing compares to how seamless Homebase makes everything.

"Effortless Payroll with Easy Setup"
What do you like best about Homebase?

I love how Homebase makes payroll super easy and efficient, simplifying what could easily be complex tasks and saving me time. Its user interface stands out to me because it is incredibly easy to use, removing stress from my day-to-day operations. Additionally, I value the document storage feature for safely managing our employees' personal data, which gives me peace of mind regarding data security. The clock in and clock out system works extremely well, streamlining tracking employees' hours and ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Overall, the ease of setup is another aspect I appreciate, making the transition to Homebase seamless and quick for my team, which reflects positively in my enthusiasm to recommend it with a score of 10 out of 10. I love Homebase for its seamless interface, which streamlines the creation and dissemination of schedules, making it effortless to manage team shifts. The intuitive platform efficiently calculates working hours and handles time-offs, significantly simplifying workforce management for my café. I appreciate the ease of onboarding and offboarding, which allows me to quickly update employee information and manage terminations smoothly. I also find the sign-in process for both employees and employers to be straightforward, enhancing shift management efficiency. Another highlight is the easy setup, which was hassle-free and quick to implement. I find Homebase extremely user-friendly and simple to use, which makes managing and scheduling referees in a recreational soccer league much easier. It’s also very robust, enabling comprehensive functionality to meet various operational needs efficiently. Furthermore, I am particularly impressed with the wonderful tech support provided, which enhances the overall user experience by being readily available and helpful whenever needed. The initial setup of Homebase was very straightforward and did not take much time, facilitating a smooth integration into our league's operations. I also appreciate how effective and reliable the tool has been since implementing it. Finally, I am glad for its usability and the fact that I can conveniently correlate it with Excel spreadsheets, which adds significant value to its functionality for my needs. What do you like best about Homebase?

I love that with just a few clicks, my employees are paid. The ease of use and efficiency Homebase provides is incredible, as I can quickly manage payroll without hassle. I also appreciate the functionality that allows me to see when employees clock in and out, which gives me peace of mind regarding time tracking. Additionally, the process of handling time-off requests is seamless through Homebase; employees can submit their requests, and I can approve them with no difficulty. This integrated approach to managing employee hours and time-off requests saves me a significant amount of time and effort. Moreover, switching to Homebase was a very easy experience for my team and me, which made the transition smooth and stress-free. I find Homebase incredibly beneficial for scheduling at my job. One of the standout features is the clarity it provides, eliminating any confusion about open shifts. Its ease of navigation is an amazing aspect that enables me to be in control of shift coverage seamlessly. The fact that Homebase is free to use adds to its appeal, making it accessible without any additional financial burden. The application is overall extremely user-friendly and tech-friendly, allowing even those who are not particularly tech-savvy to navigate it easily. The initial setup of Homebase was super easy, which is a testament to its intuitive design and efficiency. Since adopting Homebase across multiple departments, we have moved away from using Excel or Google Sheets, which speaks volumes about its effectiveness and the enhancements it brings to our workflow. We’ve been using it for scheduling, time tracking, and team communication, and it’s made a huge difference in how we operate day to day. Sometimes the app can be glitchy, especially when staff are clocking in or out—it doesn’t always register right away, which creates some confusion with time tracking. The notifications can also be inconsistent, and there are moments when schedule changes don’t push through to everyone in real-time. While the core features are solid, some of the more advanced tools feel locked behind the paid tiers, which can be limiting for smaller teams. Still, with a few refinements, it could be even better. What do you dislike about Homebase?

1. Notifications Overload

Employees sometimes receive too many notifications, especially around minor updates like slight schedule changes or reminders, which can cause notification fatigue. Or especially getting notifications for features we don't even have, like time clocking for shift breaks.

2. Limited Offline Functionality

What do you like best about Homebase?

I like that its basic features are free which are enough for small business owners with limited employees and does not need to full features. Its free version has many features available to use and is very reasonable. Its paid versions are great for business as my business will grow. I have been using it since 2018 and have recommended it to many business owners that need time clock in, and scheduling. The team can view their own schedule make request for time off and more. What do you dislike about Homebase?

the price for the full or advance features. Like payroll, having the base fee, then for each employee, and or subcontractor or independent contractor those cost can make using the program expensive, especially if certain contractors are only used for 1 to 3 projects. or for limited time periods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Homebase is a great tool for scheduling, there are some limitations within the app that could be improved. Requesting time off and setting availability can be a bit difficult for staff to manage through the mobile app. Adding more flexibility around editing or deleting time-off requests and adjusting availability would make the experience smoother and more user-friendly for both managers and team members.
