It is difficult to find the reports we want. It does not seem to be created with the simple user in mind. It is not intuitive. But, but biggest complaint is that ADP used a delivery company called Interstate Express to send my first payroll check. I found it a month after it was supposedly "delivered to contact" laying out in the grass near the public sidewalk. All my business and personal info, including my bank account and routing numbers, was floating around for anyone to pick up and steal. Then, either ADP or Interstate Express lied about the delivery. It is easy for employees to change and update their direct deposit information. My accountant can easily view the infomation. **What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?** I am being given misinformation... a lot. After I was onboarded, I was given a rep for the first 60 days. I need to send multiple emails over a week plus time frame to get a response. I even needed to contact my sales rep to get him to respond. #2. When you call the 866 # for support, you are given misinformation. I was told that the DD was cx for one of my employees as that was showed on the screen and I was told to cut a paper check. This was in fact FALSE - the employee received the DD and it was just a FUTA adjustment that ADP had made. This is 100% not OK! This error should have not occured and almost costed me thousands! We have had a few of these instances where the information I am being told is 100% false. I honestly do not think I can stay a customer past when the 60 days. I am currently looking to a competitor. I emailed this information to ADP. They don't really seem to care. **What problems is RUN Powered by ADP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Yes, see past information. The information showing on the screen of DD cancelled is 100% false. I am not sure how it is benefitting me yet, as I cannot trust the information on the screen.... nor can you call the 866 # to obtain accurate information. ### 26. You can start it but the data won't flow into payroll. The modules do not communicate with each other so there is double work. Anything financial related must have this! One of our employees had their account hacked and a new Direct Deposit was added. RUN does not notify the employee when things are changed on their account! That's an absolute must for anything so important. I personally have a bank that notifies me every time I log in or do anything. ADP needs to take security seriously. RUN doesn't have single sign-on or integrations either. It's an outdated system that is buggy and not maintained well. ADP is constantly calling and emailing saying that they have to talk to us about our "Account" but is really just calling to try to sell us more services. I've complained multiple times, but it never stops. **What problems is RUN Powered by ADP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing Payroll for our employees that is simple to use, integrated with our 401k, and provides self-service functioanlity. **Official Response from Kerry Gordon:** > Thank you for your review of RUN, and we apologize for the frustrations you are facing with our product. There are various security measures in place in RUN, including 2 factor authentication and secure single sign-on with partner integrations, but we are always evaluating and exploring opportunities to further strengthen our systems. What should've been a simple onboarding went completely awry led by lies from their sales team, payroll funds verification team, and customer service. **What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?** The sales team promised rainbows and unicorns and we were delivered a smelly heap of fees and no direct deposit for our employees. I've been an ADP customer since 2015 and ran direct deposit from the beginning, with no interruptions. I added a new company to my ADP portfolio and was assured there'd be no problems in processing direct deposit and onboarding our employees to the new startup. 1. We were down to the last day before payroll was due because ADP could not get it through their thick skull that unemployment doesn't begin until after the first date of payroll, but they wanted our SUI account numbers. This is an impossible ask and one would think that ADP of all companies would know this. 2. We signed up for, and paid for, direct deposit service. We plugged all the DD information into Run and we submitted our payroll to be paid via direct deposit. On the payroll processing date, only the taxes were withdrawn and I had to call ADP to find out why wages were not withdrawn. No one from ADP bothered to contact me and tell me that the new startup I'd added, had not passed a credit check (which we were never notified would be part of the process) and would require funds verification. I reached a rep and provided funds verification and was assured our account was fixed and our next payroll cycle would process as direct deposit. I had to wire all my employees their wages that day because ADP completely dropped the ball. 3. The following payroll cycle, ADP AGAIN did not process our direct deposit and we had to scramble to process payroll through Quickbooks/Intuit - who signed us up and processed direct deposit for the employees all in the same day. ADP said they needed to verify funds and they'd never received proof of funds verification. I forwarded the emails to the payroll verification team and they played stupid saying they'd never received it. 4. ADP continues to charge me for payroll fees and hasn't refunded any of the fees for their direct deposit payroll service - which they never delivered on. Sales rep was not very helpful and poor at returning phone calls and helping with issues. He offered credit on the next payroll as compensation which was never given. I had provided all the info in advance to prepopulate the payroll with, and he took care of none of it. They charged me the wrong amount for initial fees and had to get this fixed via online chat--rep did nothing to help even though contract showed I was supposed to be charged a different amount. Set up was extremely difficult to get right. Set up even for the first time has to do be done via online chat for each thing, and sometimes you have to wait a literally a few minutes or more for each issue that arises to get someone on the chat. Took over 6 hours to set up payroll for one person and two sessions--I had to delay payroll since couldn't get it all fixed on the first session. They told me at the last minute they needed me to wire the money to make the direct deposit of wages into employee's account--rep later told me I should have just been able to show a screenshot that I had money in the bank account to cover the wage payment. Why should I have to wire money to make a payroll? I complained about the issues with ADP, but no one ever got back to me or apologized about my poor experience. Instead, they had the nerve to call me to try to set up a retirement account with them. That said, since I have done all the work to get things set up now and don't know that anyone will do it any better, it is just easier to stick with ADP then switch right now. When you contact your sales representative or customer service, you aren't given an answer regarding these "random" fees. I'm not sure of the legality of these fees, but as a small business, I can't afford to pay out $600 - $1200 monthly for no apparent reason. I have wracked my brain and can think of nothing that recommends this product. Sometimes all navigation elements are present, sometimes they are not. The information architecture and navigation are terrible. This is the only tool I have ever used that comes close to challenging the SAP implementation at my previous place of employment for worst software ever. **Recommendations to others considering RUN Powered by ADP:** My recommendation is that you RUN away from ADP RUN. **What problems is RUN Powered by ADP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It does provide an online alternative to paper forms and manually tracking time and time off, but wow would I rather go back to paper forms and manual tracking. ### 49. While we were sold on the upgrade to Time & Attendance with the promise it could handle a Salary Non-Exempt pay type, the ADP side can NOT handle it. It creates extra lines of overtime for each employee of that pay type and assigns their salary to the overtime rate compensation field (instead of the hourly rate equivalent), awarding thousands and thousands of dollars of OT to one employee in one pay period if you don't catch it. Support hides behind a firewall. Someone will tell you it's being worked on, but there's no way to get a status of when it will be fixed. You never get to communicate directly with the tech team, the message is passed along thru client services. The reporting is terrible. And when you express your frustration with a system that is letting you down, the answer is always that you should double down on their services by upgrading. Instead of them making it easy to export a 401k report suitable to pass along to our TPA, they suggest you just give them your 401k business as a solution to the integration issues. Each product in the ADP family, well, the product up the chain, their team nods their heads with understanding at your frustration, but never acknowledges that they too are ADP while acknowledging your pain over an inferior product. It's really weird. **Recommendations to others considering RUN Powered by ADP:** The current parties I'm talking with who are trying to get me to upgrade to Work Force Now are pretty clearly dissing ADP Run so I'm not sure there's much to endorse. And previously the ADP Run folks were dissing the old version of the product we were on which compelled me to ask, well where have you all been as our partners on this? Why are you acting surprised that we're on this old product and no wonder we're dissatisfied? If your needs are simple and your employee count low, it's doable.
