What do you like best?

There are a lot of thing to like about the platform, but by example of this are all connections and endpoint you can use and possibilities to perform, the mapping so customizable you can do, easy to handle and monitor all data and processes, also you can store and send tons of data per second without more than one pipeline. Also the ultra pipelines which we are actually using are so useful to keep reading idocs from API or SAP by example, so the tool is so complete and big to be used Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

sometimes the nodes get down but nothing to be worry about because is more related with the procceses itself, other thing and is a security thing, the developers have no access to move pipelines thru environments and should be like a submit request inside the tool, because we need to ask to the admins to move our pipelines but by other side is great to have taht utility to have everything secure and separate with folders and limited to be used Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

could be use to do all kind of integrations but consider plan your deveoplment at first because if you do mapping and then plan changes is too hard because of the flow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Connections between SAP and other platform and tools mainly, integrations between some tools and APIs calling some endpoints connecting each one of them and then mapping new data and resend to that api/endpoint Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

the explanations in the videos were clear and very complete. It helped me a lot to start with simple examples, and then do more complicated tasks. It has examples and it is quite didactic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There were a couple of practice files that I couldn't open because the link was corrupted .

And at the end of the couse i had to view quickly the videos becauseI consider that it is a short time to see all the videos in detail, especially for someone who does not speak English natively like me and sometimes I had to watch a class several times to understand because of the language. I would like it to be 15 days longer instead of 30 days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

SnapLogic is a really easy - to - use ETL software, It can be integrated with almost any software in different ways and it has an university with leaning purpose and it is really good. I took 15 days to know lots of things with the videos inside there, and all practices. I hope they can show the videos in different languages, because i am not an english-speaker natively but i can understand everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Now I am in a data bases enterprice and SnapLogic is the most important ETL, so the courses helped me to know how i can send information by REST. thats the bigger problem thar SnapLogic solved , because it is so easy and didactic. s Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Ability to use and modify multiple files from databases, spreadsheets and emails. I was able to automate work that would have taken 10 hours in less than an hour. We use additional tools to create the files, and we use Snaplogic to send the emails, which are personalized, have a standard copy, and have an attached file relevant to the customer. This program is able to automate a large amount of data well, saving immeasurable amounts of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally when sending over 100 emails, the program would run out of memory and we would have to resend those emails individually. Changing the way we ran the processes was able to remedy this, and it was able to run without problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you will be new to SnapLogic, try to find someone in your organization who can walk you through tips and tricks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our company uses Snaplogic to automate the creation and sending over over 100 customer emails. We have to do this multiple times a week and saves a ton of time by automating the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

SnapLogic makes automation both easy and fun. The intuitive interface allows for beginners to get into the system and start building the blocks of process automation step by step in a logical and intuitive manner. SnapLogic empowers business users to automate processes quickly with their current knowledge of the information/material where they won't have to engage IT in a lengthy (and at times, expensive) process to get automated data feeds or file outputs. The possibilities with SnapLogic are endless and the only constraint is being able to think of new things to do with the platform! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

At times there will be errors that are thrown that give little insight into which part of a snap isn't working as it should and the recommendations can be unhelpful. These are generally easy enough to figure out, but if the error output was a bit more clear that would be a fantastic improvement! It would also be able to "mass disable/enable" snaps (i.e. do more than one at a time when I want to quickly disable a part of the pipeline to see how the rest of it is running). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are automating GL data to our financial reporting models so our FP&A teams can see real-time results to cut down on lead time and aid in quicker business decisions. Through SnapLogic we are providing insight into KPIs that senior leadership previously did not have adequate insight into. The automation in turn helps the company save time and resources when they don't have to use those resources to be digging for data and can instead focus on analysis and impactful decision making. What do you like best?

Very well thought Snaps giving you complete control to solution your integration and beyond. Good documentation and examples with amazing community support (only if you are a snaplogic customer)

iPaaS solution along with ability to do hybrid all in one place

API triggers using snaplogic URL is a good way to quickly test the development over API

New releases come with good loade features

All logs available over API for monitoring and troubleshooting

Smooth UI and ability to do extract using script snap Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

CICD deployments not very flexible. Example - deployment of just one pipeline that needs to be updated in a project which has many others is not straight forward - we end up deploying the whole project again. There is a good amount of discover that is needed to get the Org-Snaplex-Environment-Project space and Project relationship in terms of deployment before things get streamlined.

Releases can be better tested as is a cause of slight concern Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is a stateless platform where all the transactional logging and failure alerting need to be build as part of your development. Snaplogic is a great fit if you can invest the time in it. Be sure to include all the required snap packs that one needs

Ultra and resumeable pipeline features are must haves if you have a large transactional volume and need to have guaranteed delivery Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Internal Enterprise integration - Guaranteed delivery System for reliability

External integration and adapting to customer systems.

Internal analytics and external analytics

Flexibility to solution the integration to the extent required and ability to spin out mutiple nodes and scale both horizontally and vertically Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Have most of snaps that does all the work.

Report Automation! This is a MUST have for any team that wants to send automated reports.

Updating metrics that don't come through another solution. If you need to get data into a larger data set, Snap is the best (only?) way to do it cleanly.

Simple interface. You don't need to be a developer to learn and understand Snap pipelines.

Easy pipeline with simple drag and drop snaps to do the transforming

Creating SCD has become easier than any other tool

Scheduling tasks are also easier with Snaplogic

Using rest API other tools/services can be integrated

Cheap and easily install-able Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing to be dislike i can mention here.

Your underlying data to snap into a different solution (SQL) must be VERY clean, or pipelines break. I expect this, but it would be great if you could adjust columns without breaking a pipeline.

The installation process is vague, and our customers have issues with using Java for security reasons. If they had an install package that could fix that it would be less of an issue.

They could make it more convenient to use on the web browser, if I was working on a customer in the Manager I don't want to have to navigate to keep going back to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Easy to complete data integration for a non-tach-savvy person.

Cheaper than other established data integration products such as Informatica, Talend etc...

Not much maintenance headache as this is both a platform as a service, as well as software as a service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am doing address validation, Oracle data insert, file encryption, file decryption Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Easy to develop in short time, more connectors, wide application connectivity, easy automation , more dynamic features availability . easy migration, api integration was quite easy compare to other tools like talend. code repository in one place no need to pull code outside. faster search of components. wide administration , monitoring APIS. easy integration of other applications like tidal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

no clear indication of IF ..ELSE feature, felt hard for dimensional model data population, not seen partition concept for better/parallel processing. Few snaps make data not to pass through mainly for DML activity snaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

One solution for all data related activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cross platform data related activities, application integration and API services . Keeping everything in one place for ETL, ESB made much easier. Data load from other applications into HDFS, Hive, SQL Server, S3, FTP etc. Application integration for real time data processing from SFDC to SAP etc. connecting zendesk to jira, sfdc to jira, redshift. parsing of wide variety of files, excel, csv, txt, json etc. Using snaps shown some better performance while dealing large data sets. easy connectivity of one snap to other. can be developed our own exception handling process very easily. Looping /triggering multiple pipe lines at a time is very nice feature where we can control dynamic execution's. very less tools has given this feature for making etls more dynamic, we can also pass parameter values from one pipeline to other is very good. validation option helps us debugging instant .overall i like most of its feature to compare to other tools which i worked like informatica talend, SSIS. What do you like best?

Ease of use in creating the pipelines. Relatively easy to learn if you are familiar with traditional programming languages such as Perl, C++, Python, etc. Also if you get in trouble, there is a very quick response from their help desk. My colleagues and I attended a one week in-house training session. I heartily recommend that this is the 1st step. Our instructor left with us the pipelines that we learned in class, so that made it easy to refer back to once we began our own projects. The collection of functions in the Snaps provided make it easy to configure the pipelines desired. In particular, the Mapper Snap has tremendous capabilities in shaping the data or applying functions of all types to achieve the variables that you need. The ability to validate the pipeline as you develop it makes this product a winner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some of the more complex snap topics such XML formatting need additional information to make it easier to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

System Integration and Data Mining. Using SnapLogic it is much quicker to realize a prototype to show others if a concept works. Once you start working with and build your own library, it is very easy to configure the pipelines that you need. I have successfully used this product to create three new integrations and to replace an existing integration written in Perl. I've also developed adhoc pipelines to verify that the data flows are correct on legacy systems. One example of this is to verify the data flow from Peopelesoft to Microsoft Identity Management. I've even shown some of my colleagues how they can solve difficult problems such as extracting from Ellucian's Banner ERP to specific outbound systems with ease. Integrating with different on-premise or on-cloud tools to do some R&D on health sector data. It helps in easy integration and faster execution, easy to showcase to non-technical people and get their inputs as well. Ability to have most of the tasks done using this tool itself. What do you like best?

Pre-built connectivity with Salesforce ServiceNow and others. Easy to implement and use. The availability to validate the expressions I use in real time. Testing with limited number of files. The usage of almost all file formats csv, json, xml, xlsx and so on. The ability to save a file in almost every file. Saving files to any sftp with the right account. A lot of snaps that are used to make the integrations simpler and with lass snaps which helps debugging if any errors occur. The ability to use pipeline parameters so one pipeline can be used for more integrations with just changing the needed pipeline parameter. The ability to use error pipeline which can give us a better insight in the errors that can occur. The usage of the nested pipelines with the pipeline execute snap and for each snap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The dashboard is taking a lot of time to refresh. Per example If I wan't to check the executions for 1 month ago, it will need a lot of time to query the results and it has possibility to crash and don't show the wanted executions. Then I need to refresh the page and start the process again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great integration tool. Easy to use and debug any errors. Great support teams that are jumping on the error at any time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Integration between various sets of databases like Snowflake, SQL, MYSQL, ORACLE, PostgreSQL. Connectivity with salesforce, serviceNow, Netsuite. The main benefits are the simpler ways to do the integrations, easily to debug any errors, validate and check the expression functionality in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

- The platform is accessible from anywhere with a working internet connection.

- The data processing resources can be easily distributed and scaled up or down, either through cloud based processing capabilities, or customer provided computing resources.

- A working integration doesn't require extensive programming skills (a low-code approach), and can be developed rather quickly.

- There are great many ready-to-use components for integration between various endpoints of all the major vendors.

- SnapLogic makes it very easy to expose APIs to use the platform in its ESB capacity.

- The platform can be extended with custom developed components, which are coded in Java.

- The platform has a very robust and user-friendly process monitoring capabilities. These capabilities make it easy to monitor the executions of the integrations, perform analysis and debug the hick-ups in the executions.

SnapLogic exposes an API to enable the developers to perform the monitoring through code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

You have to have an active internet connection in order to use and work with the product. You can only develop the integrations through the interface available in a web browser. Lack of an opportunity for offline development of the integrations through a desktop SDK. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

- It has met and exceeded all our needs and expectations, and I trust it will do so to yours as well.

- It has greatly enhanced our productivity and shortened the time to market of the integrations.

- It has enabled us to serve more clients to a higher standard of service and to a greater level of satisfaction.

- The time to train integration developers new to the platform is brief (2 weeks - 2 months).

All in all, great platform and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- The integrations are straightforward to extend, deploy and debug.

- Integrations between a data warehouse and a physical warehouse management system, for efficient organization of transport of goods.

- Integrations between front-end e-commerce website and a back-end order processing system. The developments went quickly and easily.

- Translation between different file types for purposes of localization and internationalization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It is a simple drag and drop integration with a simple idea of your business flow managed by the pieces of snap within to facilitate your desirability.

An easy management and monitoring of your servers w.r.t to the Memory , CPU and running processes , which has further helped understand the issue on own with quicker tracing and debugging .

The metrics and graph to outline the usage and understand what could be cut off from the usage and what needs to be added to cater the futuristic needs ,especially when integrating a growing architecture Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some of the issues I have constantly raising in terms of some memory issue within the snaps, forcing a frequent manual restarts of our groundplex without even much to use on these servers.

It is sometimes faster to try and see what works best before you could get the right person from the Snaplogic to explain or understand the growing use of your functionility .

A frequent forced release even if you have a stable system integrated with the previous release and do not want to upgrade , with an added testing and evaluation to be put in terms of your resources is another of its downsides that i experienced in my usages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you do not want to worry on the complex technical aspects of designing integration or business flow , Snaplogic is one of the best solutions in such lines with drag and drop ease and available monitoring of the processing metrics or your desings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have over 75 different integrations with our main system. Our main system is on an Oracle DB platform and some of the systems that we integrate with are on a SQL Server platform. Over the last several years, Oracle has been, more and more, not playing nice with SQL Server, getting disconnect errors, etc. causing processes to ABEND. We have not experienced any of these problems with SnapLogic. Over time, we are moving over many of our integrated processes over to the SnapLogic platform in order to avoid all the issues we experience with Oracle playing nice with SQL Server.
