The ease of using the product. I like that we can track evaluations and licenses in the same system instead of using two different systems. This system makes information flow easier to payroll. All of the sales and demo team were very attentive to our questions and needs. They really understood our long term care business needs and individual experts in each module conducted the demo of their area of expertise. Throughout a change, we had an issue where there was nobody in the firm that had the SQL data source password, which was required in order to draw over historic data. I hate that time system is a separate desktop. I hate that I can't have the direct deposit form as part of the new hire paperwork, and the uploading of employee documents is a pain in the behind, as well as saving reports to the Ascentis system and then having to pull them from Ascentis and save on my desktop. It's not efficient and really clunky. Some of your customer service folks are great, but some have a hard time answering what I feel is an easy question and I get put on hold for them to ask a HR Specialist, who is usually on the phone and they have to call me back. for us the upside is that we will have HR information and Payroll information in one organized and real-time location. In terms of the role Ascentis plays, the system is not fully implemented so difficult to comment on at this time. The team leads have been so kind, patient and excel in customer service, even during the initial phases when the implementation process was not going well. I also think the NOVA time product will be a wonderful system for us because it will streamline our processes and provide automated compliance. I think it's too early to comment on though in terms of my preferences with the system. Although, customer service in client support is 100% better than with my previous vendor. eveyone goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and statisfied with each process and step. Implementation initially was uniquely challenging and we were handed off several times throughout to various new team leads. Eventually, this process improved significantly, but initially this was slightly disastrous and did not instill confidence. The system seemed a little clunky in that there are too many platforms to log into and it was confusing during implementation. It would be nice to have one interface and one login. it's a bit overwhelming the information and implementation is not a place to be fully immersed in learning the system. I love that their support is always on top of my needs. I have called or emailed whenever I have an issue, and they usually follow up within a few hours, or the next day at the latest. There are only small issues with Ascentis that I have seen so far. I want to be able to send my employees emails but it only works if they have a work email address. The reporting feature on the server is functional but clunky. I also think being able to access individual profile online instead of through the server is a great idea. Right now though the online profile is not a robust and is a little slower.

Up front commitments were honored throughout the conversion process. Like the conversion process. It was outlined with specific steps and timelines. The conversion process is designed to force the user to learn the system. Most conversion I have been through are the company asked for the data, loads it into the system, and turns if over - a turnkey approach. Ascentis makes you do the work to set up and load the system. Ascentis has worked hard to improve their product in many ways over the past six to twelve months. In particular, the most needed for us, was the reporting capabilities. In addition, they have a diverse collection of training videos, which are very helpful when bringing on a new employee, especially as an HR or Payroll Administrator. Creating the ESS Dashboard is great. I do wish there was a more in-depth class to help me learn more than just the basics on how to do more things on the dashboard, or how to make the dashboard a little nicer looking - but what I have learned to create for the employees has really been terrific. I dislike the HR Reporting the most. I don't find it to be "user friendly". When selecting criteria, it doesn't seem to PULL the correct data sometimes, especially when searching for Benefits things. I also don't feel that it allows the user to select the "needed" information using criteria that a user needs to "use" --- the "and" and "or" functions when trying to link the criteria that you are looking to get out of it.
