"Hootsuite: My Go-To Tool for Simplified Social Media Planning"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite is an incredibly user-friendly tool that I rely on for all my social media planning and design needs. Its simplicity makes it an excellent choice for those looking to streamline their social media efforts. One of the standout features is the seamless integration with Canva, which allows for quick and easy design creation directly within the platform. The ability to draft posts and maintain them is also a significant advantage, making it easy to manage and adjust content as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

While rare, occasional glitches can cause scheduled posts to fail without any notification, leading to content not being published as planned. The AI tool for generating captions is also somewhat limited, as it’s not available in the standard post-creation area, which would be the most intuitive place for it. Finally, it would be incredibly helpful to have an option to export all scheduled posts, complete with images and captions, for a given month. This feature would make it easier to share plans with corporate teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Efficient, But Occasional Posting Glitches"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite is incredibly user-friendly. I never find myself wondering where features are located or how to use them, as everything is laid out in a very straightforward manner. The scheduling tool is simple to use and really helps make my week much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I've had several instances of my posts not getting posted which is always frustrating - sometimes my accounts will randomly disconnect for no reason and I have to set things up again. I also don't love all of the pop up messages all the time. Nothing that's a deal breaker, just annoyances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loved Hoot for 5 years now...but may be time for a switch with the Price Increases"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

The user interface is simple. It is easy to learn initially and use daily. I like the calendar view. I don't use the social listening much, but could. I like that you can preview content while creating it and also edit posts that are already scheduled very easily. I also love the new hashtag generator - fast, easy, and always accurate! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The analytics have been spotty and could definitely use some love from the dev team. There are always exclamations or asterisks to the reporting that I must explain to clients and sometimes it just looks down-right inaccurate-scary! I know the AI is new, but very basic and not really helpful. My biggest complaint is the drastic price increases in the last 2--3 years. My plan more than doubled. I get inflation, but no features added. Now, while I am paying ALOT in my opinion for the middle plan at $99/month which includes up to 10 social accounts, I need to upgrade to the next and only available plan to add one other social plan (no other users) and it will then cost me $250/month MORE THAN DOUBLE what I am paying now as a small agency/freelancer! Hoot really needs to diversify it's packages past the basic three-prong approach! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Many great features, only a few small suggested improvements"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I love the calendar scheduling feature. It allows me to quickly and efficiently build and schedule posts as far out as I need. I can easily duplicate a post for a different social channel. I can even drag and drop content into Hootsuite, reducing the amount of clicks to get content uploaded. It's also been easy to implement amongst our team members, using the drafts to share ideas and then save for managers to approve.

I also like the analytics page, I like building out custom reports. There are so many different options to build and add depending on the data needed. It's simple to use and easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Sometimes, Hootsuite registers my vertical 9:16 video as "incompatible" aspect ratio for Facebook, saying it's .1 off.

In the "editor" feature where I build social posts, I can trim and crop videos or photos; but there isn't a crop by aspect ration option. I wish it would have crop ratios instead of only custom/manual crop.

I also dislike that you can't specify a Facebook video post as a Reel versus a video post; and there is nowhere to add a title or a collaborator. That would be a great feature in the future to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Collaboration and AI Tools, But Recent UI Changes Disappoint"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

What I like most about Hootsuite is that it is easy to tag social media accounts and add members as collaborators within the platform. I like the analytics that are built into the platform as well. I also like how many AI tools it has incorporated to make it easier for social media managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

What I find frustrating are the updates that were made June 2024. I wish they had left the dark background on the far-left side section where the different navigation tools are located. I find the "all white" to make it harder to easily see the different tools. The photo upload application can also be tricky since it sometimes pops up at the very bottom of my screen and I have to scroll down to be sure I can upload properly. Also, I have issues trying to activate Facebook accounts. I can take a few times to get Hootsuite to give me the correct account. I have tried adding "-" and sometimes that works better and the same with LinkedIn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Multi-Platform Scheduling, But Instagram Photo Limit Frustrates"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I appreciate being able to schedule the same post to go live on multiple platforms simultaneously. This makes ease of cross-platform functions accessible, as well as knowing I can start checking analytics at the same time on all the apps. I also appreciate the reports that you can build out for metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The fact that I still can't post more than 10 photos on Instagram through Hootsuite is frustrating, especially since this feature has been available in the Instagram app itself for quite a while. This limitation means I have to spend extra time downloading the photos to my phone and then use the Instagram app directly to schedule my posts, rather than being able to do it all through Hootsuite. "Hootsuite helps me stay on top of everything"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I handle several client accounts every day, and it’s such a relief to see everything in one place. I usually start my day by opening the dashboard with my coffee, and it gives me a clear view of what’s scheduled, what’s performing well, and what still needs work.

The calendar view is a big help. It’s simple, and I can move posts around without any fuss. It makes planning feel less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Mobile app could be better. It’s nice for quick checks or replying to comments, but it doesn’t feel as smooth. Sometimes when I’m on the go and want to edit a scheduled post or switch between accounts, it lags. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hootsuite helps me stay productive while handling many clients"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I run a small social media agency called Social Palette with my co-founder, and we manage different brands in fashion, food, and lifestyle. Hootsuite makes our work so much easier. I like how I can see everything in one place, all the posts, drafts, and client approvals. It saves me from switching between apps or chasing people for feedback.

The reports are very helpful too. They look clean and make it simple to show our clients what’s working. I also use their AI tool sometimes when I’m stuck writing captions. It’s not perfect, but it gives me a place to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The app on my phone doesn’t work as smoothly as the desktop one. Sometimes I just want to make a quick edit or check a post, and it takes longer than it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hootsuite keeps me grounded"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I love the content calendar the most. Managing multiple accounts for Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth means switching between platforms, tones, and audiences all day long. Some days it feels like juggling with one hand tied. But then I open Hootsuite, and everything’s laid out in front of me, scheduled posts, drafts, messages, analytics. It’s almost calming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Sometimes it feels like the analytics are thinking harder than I am. They take a while to load, especially when I’m comparing campaigns or different program pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It makes social media management feel calm, even on the messy days"
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I’ve been using Hootsuite for a while now, mostly for my freelance clients and the brands I handle through Wisteria, and honestly, it’s one of those tools that just makes me exhale. You know that moment when you’re staring at ten tabs, each with a different social account, and you’re trying to remember which post is waiting for approval? Yeah. Hootsuite saves me from that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The pricing is a bit high. As a freelancer, I wouldn't pay for it myself. It works through my agency, but it's too expensive for solo use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
