What do you dislike about Microsoft Excel?

There are a lot of cool features for Excel, but it takes a lot of time and effort to learn how to use some of those features or get to know all of the formulas. It gets complicated quickly if you go past the basics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Excel:

It's great for tracking basic budgets and lists, but full company budgets of 50+ people gets to be too much. It's too easy to go in and change the file if there are too many people accessing it at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Excel?

There's no doubt Excel is powerful software and can do a lot more than Numbers (such as scripting), but if I'm being honest, I much prefer using Numbers whenever possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Excel?

It doesn't feel like at all like a Mac app, and that's to its detriment, in my opinion. Formatting is more difficult than it should be. Pretty much everything is more difficult than it should be. Many hotkeys that work in every other Mac app don't work in Excel, such as ⌘Left-Arrow and ⌘Right-Arrow for moving the cursor to the beginning and end of line, respectively. If you're going to make a Mac app, you should respect global hotkeys in macOS, in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm used to working with Microsoft Excel on PC so swithing to MAC has been a struggle. MAC excel does not support pivot charts or other types of specialty charts (ie two chart types in one).

Difficult to navigate - Ribbon is more limited, hard to find functions you may need, and 'hotkeys' are different and not intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
