The limitation that tends to surface only at scale is the seam between the M&A platform and whatever data room providers are actually used for diligence, since a handful of deals a year hides that gap but running dozens doesn't. I've noticed that exact pattern in reviews too: an enterprise VP of business development using Devensoft said integration with data room services could be better, meaning they still had to navigate different data room providers and then manually re-enter information into Devensoft or SharePoint for their own analysis. That manual bridge is invisible on deal one but turns into real overhead once volume climbs into the dozens per year.
