I am a user of ServiceNow App Engine in my role developing internal tools and workflow automation for a mid-sized organization located in Italy. Although the role I played was technically oriented versus administrative in nature, I am responsible for working with already developed applications to customize existing workflows and support internal teams by modifying forms, logic, and processes to meet business requirements.

The most appealing aspect of the ServiceNow App Engine is the ability to build and modify applications quickly and easily without having to build everything from the ground up. By using a low code platform, I can create workflows, forms, and approval processes much more rapidly than by using traditional software development tools. Another disadvantage is that, although low-code reduces the time needed for developers to create applications, some customization could still require more technical knowledge than we expect. Debugging very complex workflows may not be as easy as it seems, and repair time may be longer than expected, as well as decreased performance if your application’s design wasn’t done correctly.
