The straight purchase option is perfect as I do not like subscription models at all and have changed a lot of my company stuff to other vendors because of this. I need a basic 2D drawing programme and this far exceeds what I need in usability and features with a very well designed interface. The client support and interaction has to date been amazing. **What do you dislike about ZWCAD?** Not found any negatives thus far and I have really tried to break it by opening all CAD versions I have going back 20 years on some multi level buildings. **What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cost of the software was a huge factor as I can get the package for a once off budgetary amount and not have to keep paying forever. I had no issues what so ever in switching while still opening and using my old AutoCAD files. So far, I have not encountered any significant differences between ZWCAD and AutoCAD for the 2D functionality that I use it for. **What do you dislike about ZWCAD?** I have not really encountered a down side to the software yet. At least not for what I am using it for. Most of my usage has been with extracting 2D points for writing computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine programs. **What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Besides not costing an arm and a leg, it allows me quick access to extract 2D points and to create extremely accurate 2D images of complex shapes in order to be used with my laser cutting system. ### 4. The super-fast loading and zooming features are excellent, and the dynamic snapping is really helpful. These features speed up the production and accuracy of all my projects. The setup was 100% painless, and if you know AutoCAD, ZWCAD offers a zero learning curve and is more efficient than other apps I've evaluated. Using LISP functions for Imperial and Metric fasteners and standard hot rolled steel shapes is also a big plus. Overall, switching was a no-brainer from AutoCAD LT, and I have no concerns about upgrading to the 3D version as needed. **What do you dislike about ZWCAD?** I find the AutoCAD interface for selection more efficient, but after learning the ZWCAD quirks it's not a problem. I have tried multiple didfferent programs to see which one I found easy for me learn and came back with ZW. I also like there FLEX options to pay by the month. That works excellent with my line of work as an offshore surveyor.
