We use OptiSigns at RW Beckett to share internal announcements and updates with employees across our facility, and it's been a solid fit for that purpose.<br><br>Ease of Use<br>The platform is intuitive — content can be created, edited, and pushed to displays with minimal setup or training. This matters for us since it's not a dedicated IT function managing it day to day.<br><br>Speed of Updates<br>One of the biggest wins is how quickly we can get information in front of employees. Whether it's a time-sensitive announcement, a safety reminder, or a schedule change, we can post an update in minutes rather than waiting on a longer content or approval process.<br><br>Overall<br>For straightforward internal communication needs, OptiSigns delivers reliably without a steep learning curve or heavy administrative overhead.

Offline reliability — like most cloud-based signage tools, displays can lag or show stale content if there's a connectivity hiccup, since updates rely on an internet connection.

**What do you like best about OptiSigns?**

It makes it really easy to update content quickly and seamlessly on our studio screens. No more lengthy downloading of video clips to USB keys and then hoping the TVs will accept the files! We keep it super basic and simple just using the templates or uploading the odd Canva created piece. This is why we like it...nothing tricky to learn or integrate.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

We don’t have the funds for new technology or new screens, as we’re a small business. So hearing that it may soon no longer be available on our Firesticks—which we rely on because we don’t have smart screens—is a bit sad. I’m hoping they’ll keep working for as long as possible.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can provide our parents with quick updates on classes and studio information in a fast, effective way, and it looks much smarter than posters. Parents don’t read emails anymore, so having screens in the waiting areas showing key information has been a real game changer for us.

**What do you like best about OptiSigns?**

You can schedule not only assets to go live and expire, but also playlists. There is lots of flexibility in how things are scheduled to automate it more, so you don't have to check up on it consistently and manage it.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

It's somewhat klunky and can be time-consuming to manage. Playlists can get long, so it's easy to accidentally add something twice if you're managing a lot of assets and not realize. You can't add things to playlists with a checkbox when uploading them. There is no easy way to manage multiple schedules on one calendar, so when your building is closed, you have to go into each schedule to remove it or adjust what is showing for special events and you always default to today, so you have to scroll to the day on each schedule. It can be very time-consuming if you have multiple TV's in the building with multiple schedules. Also, assets just say "expiring" or "scheduled", so there is no easy way to see when it expires without going into the assets and editing it.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does manage our digital signage and help automate things, so I don't have to spend time doing it. It's just not as easy or as quick as I think it could be.

It is very easy to upload content to OptiSigns, and can sync to my screen within seconds. The website is user friendly and scheduling content is made simple.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

I am a bit disappointed in the apps that are provided. I wish that there were more customization options for the social media apps, such as changing the background colors, or adjusting the layout and adding or removing other visual elements. I also would like to see apps for streaming services. Our company would like to play movies on Fridays, but it's a bit of a hassle trying to switch over the inputs, find the movie, and then switch it back over once it's done.

OptiSigns is helping us get more visibility for certain events, classes, or initiatives that we are working on internally and externally. It also is helping us bridge more employee relations by starting conversations from the content we put on our screens.

What I like best about OptiSigns is the UI/UX and Support/Onboarding. The ability to control my screens remotely is amazing! I tried several different products before deciding on a permanent solution, and OptiSigns did the trick. It’s easy to use, I can manage my screens from anywhere, and it has worked exactly the way I needed it to. I’m extremely happy with my decision!

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

I have not found a downside as of yet. I have been using it for a few months now.

The ability to control my screens remotely is amazing! I used to have to create my signage, put it on a USB drive, and physically plug it into each TV every time I wanted to make a change. Now with OptiSigns, I can update my screens instantly and easily from anywhere. I don’t even have to be near the TVs to do it!

**What do you like best about OptiSigns?**

The interface is intuitive and easy to maneuver. I have three monitors in different locations, and I was able to add the weather feed to each one so every site gets real-time weather updates, which is especially helpful in the construction industry. I also uploaded several pictures and barely had to wait for them to finish uploading before I could use them.

Everything from connecting it to each screen to adjusting the timing for each presentation was very easy. The investment has been well worth it for our company. Previously, we were purchasing mini computers for each monitor and then having someone travel from our office to install them and get everything working. Now we’ve saved on the cost of the computers as well as paying someone to travel to each location.

I also received plenty of support when getting started. I had access to one person via email that I could work with directly, although I didn’t need to reach out much because the program is so simple to use.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

It was a little confusing at first figuring out how to seperate the files out for each screen. They were a bit different due to geographic location and the weather feeds that I was using.

We are not purchaisng mini computers anymore. A person does not have to travel to fix the feed if we lose it. I can simple ask one of the people in the office to start the app if we lose the feed on the screen for some reason. There are no technical skills to get it up and running.

Setup was the part that surprised me - we had our first screens live the same afternoon. Plug in a player, pair it with a code, done. No imaging machines, no site visits, no vendor on-site day. Since then it has mostly stayed out of my way, which is about the highest compliment I can pay signage software.

Hardware flexibility matters more than I expected going in. We are not locked into buying proprietary players at a markup - it runs on inexpensive Android sticks and on hardware we already had, so adding another screen is a small decision rather than a procurement conversation.

The remote management is what actually earns its keep. Managing displays across multiple locations from one console means a content change is one update, not a round of phone calls asking someone to go walk over to a TV. Screen groups and scheduling do most of the heavy lifting for us - lobby content, internal announcements and customer-facing menu boards all run from the same account on different playlists.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

Embedding dashboards is the fiddliest part of the platform. Getting BI content onto a screen cleanly - and keeping it authenticated and refreshing on its own without someone re-logging in - takes more trial and error than anything else in the product. Scaling and layout on a large display in particular need a fair bit of fussing before it looks right, and what looks fine in a browser window often does not translate straight to a wall-mounted screen.

Once it is dialled in it stays stable, so this is a setup cost rather than an ongoing one. But it is the one area where I would expect a more polished, guided path given how common dashboard-on-a-screen has become as a use case.

Before OptiSigns our screens were effectively static. Content only changed when somebody remembered to change it, and because the displays were spread across sites there was no central control - updating a menu board or a lobby notice meant physically going to the screen, or asking whoever was on site that day to do it. In practice that meant screens quietly sat on content that was weeks or months out of date.

Now everything is scheduled ahead and pushed centrally. One update lands on every screen it should, grouped by location and purpose, so lobby content, internal announcements and customer-facing menu boards each run their own playlist off the same account. The time cost of keeping displays current has dropped to close to zero, and the bigger win is that the screens are actually trusted again - staff and customers read them because the information on them is current.

The flexibility of the product and the hardware has been a big plus for us. We initially just needed a simple display to show our call queues for our Reservations call centre, but after playing with the various settings, I can see we’ll be using it for so much more.

The interface is easy to use, and I really like that it can be edited from a mobile app as well. Changes are almost instant, and it integrates with our 3CX telephone system’s web page to display exactly the info we need for our team.

Pricing is spot on for what we receive. We’ve only had to use one device so far, but I’ll be demoing it for our Marketing team soon, so I can see we’ll be buying more. Support from the website is great, and because everything is intuitive, I haven’t come across any roadblocks yet.

I haven’t explored all the AI / Intelligence features yet—there’s been no call for them so far but it's early days—but who knows what we’ll use the smart features for next. I can certainly see us using these integrations as recently we've started using Claude and and CoPilot, perhaps when we roll these out to our stores we'll investigate using the Audience intelligence features to see how much of an impact our designs have.

Really happy with everything so far.

We deployed the OptiSigns Android Digital Signage Player at Camp Takajo to power a large digital display in our dining hall, and it has quickly become one of the most valuable communication tools on campus.
The player has been rock solid. Once configured, it has been reliable, boots quickly, and has handled continuous daily operation without any issues. We use it to display rotating image galleries, the daily menu, camp announcements, schedules for our three camper age groups, weather forecasts, live sports scores, and even the FIFA World Cup bracket. Updating content remotely through the OptiSigns web portal is straightforward, allowing our staff to make changes in seconds without ever touching the display.
One feature we especially appreciate is the flexibility. We can mix static content, web pages, dashboards, images, and dynamic widgets into a single playlist that keeps campers and staff informed throughout the day. The scheduling features also make it easy to display different content at different times.

We purchased the base plan and are using the bare minimum of features (a menu) and we originally programmed it to turn on with a schedule and that was working but we realized that the time zone was set to New York (We are Chicago) so it was turning off earlier than expected. So when I went to edit it, it told me I needed to upgrade my plan. That was disappointing, so now I have to spend an extra $5 a month for a simple feature.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a professional display for our customers to see to order their feeder items for their animal.

**What do you like best about OptiSigns?**

You can manage all your screens remotely in one place for a fair price. Optisigns is straightforward to use, with an easily navigable interface that keeps screens, playlists, and schedules right at your fingertips. The onboarding and tech support options are solid, which makes it very easy to train staff on how to use it. If there are any performance issues or a screen goes down, it flags it quickly. It also integrates with Canva, and you can use AI as well.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

I’d really like to see an undo button for those moments when I accidentally mess up the screen rotation. The “apply to all screens” button can feel a bit scary, because if you make a mistake it affects everything at once. Better integration between Canva and OptiSigns would also be very helpful, since many teams use Canva to create their screens.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optisigns makes it really easy to program our screens. I can manage everything remotely, and we’re currently in the process of converting all of our screens on campus to the Optisigns provider, since USBs feel dated and can be frustrating to keep updated.

**What do you like best about OptiSigns?**

After researching many different options for our digital displays, I stumbled across OptiSigns. Setting up an account was easy, the interface is very user friendly, the customer service has been extremely helpful with very quick response times. The templates that are offered are very easy to edit, and once your images/digital files are ready to go, the interface allows your new images to go live instantly, its so fast! The AI capabilities allow for anyone to create/edit digital files even if they have no prior digital creation experience. The interface integration with our display screens was very easy to setup. The pricing was very reasonable and much better than other options that offered similiar services. Would highly reccomend this company to others!

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

The only thing that I have found that I did not like was during my trial period, I wanted to add a third screen and was not allowed. Though the trial stated you could have up to three screens. It was in the fine print that it was only three screens if they were certain ones. My third screen did not qualify.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently updated our loyalty program as well as our fountain machines. We wanted a way to let customers know of these changes so we added screens above our new fountain machines. I was able to create a slideshow that showcases all of our new changes and also upcoming changes.

I have worked with tree different solutions when it comes to signage/screens and this is by far the best one. I was immediately hooked and ordered more OptiSign-sticks! Its user friendly, its great with the direct connection with Canva, even though the integrated design tool is great too.

I actually dont know yet, I have not had any issues yet. But I wish there was a more simple way to create some things in the optikiosk, like an interaktive map etc. Its duable, but a bit tricky and time consuming.

Being able to schedule playlists is very helpful. We operate 24/7, and sometimes we need different posts for each shift. Scheduling them keeps the content up to date for our employees and saves me time.

We have about 9OptiSticks devices, 1 has gone offline & stopped updating few days after we purchased. We've tried rebooting it & resetting the Wi-Fi with no success. Better troubleshooting or live tech support would be helpful. Most of the responses we receive are emailed troubleshooting steps, which haven't resolved the issue. Right now, we have one TV that isn't updating.

Keeping our TVs up to date is much easier now. We have 10+ TVs in the building, and it’s a big help not having to manually update them.

I like how easy it is to use and how you can navigate the UI easily. Very customizable. You can use images or videos or a combination of both and place them in whatever order you want and any duration you want. I like how quickly it updates the slideshows and can set timers, start times, and end times for specific limited promotions. Integrates very easily to a TV and doesn't require a lot of set up.

There isn't much to dislike about it right now. I'm still playing around with it, but so far it's been great.

There are lots of options for displays and presentations, and they are all user friendly. We especially like being able to show our social media pages along with our newest Google reviews. The display performance also stays consistently up to date—it doesn’t lag or need to play catch-up the way some other options we’ve tried have. The pricing is very reasonable as well. We haven't needed to reach out to support so far other than the demo we had, and the team was very friendly and helpful.

We have not had any downsides to using the service so far.

It has made managing our law library displays much more efficient and consistent.

It’s easy to share files (folders) and playlist access across users, which makes managing the screens a shared responsibility and really encourages collaboration. I also like how simple it is to upload images and drop them straight into a playlist. The website runs quickly, so making updates is smooth and hassle-free. And being able to use the app on a smart TV is a huge win!

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

The feature for creating your own asset can feel a bit clunky at times. For instance, when I increase the size of a text box, it seems to treat the text like an image, so the text can end up stretched. I also find it difficult to format text so it sits neatly across multiple lines.

I’d also like a “duplicate” asset option while editing a slide. Right now, I can only duplicate pages from the file manager screen, but it would be really helpful to be able to do this directly while I’m on the slide.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helping us share information with as many people on site as possible. Previously, we had feedback from staff that they felt out of the loop. By using OptiSign, I’ve been able to take company-wide emails and other communications and display them on screens throughout the site, so everyone stays informed, making it easily integrated into our current processes.

It has made what was a very time consuming and cumbersome process a lot easier for both our venue staff and events planning team. We were able to swap from a USB display system to the OptiSigns system, which allows us to remotely control all of our venue screens. 

Using the OptiSigns software has been easy and intuitive for our team, and we loved the added benefit of being able to display weather and time widgets.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

Some of the pricing structures are a bit annoying, it would be good if we didn't have to upgrade to be able to have access to simple features like incorporating a table in our designs. Additionally, it would be good if the default setting for asset play time could be adjusted.

We used to struggle with getting our display TVs to stay on all day, and getting them to cooperate with the powerpoints/videos we were trying to display. But now, with Optisigns, it is easy to control all display TVs from one central hub, and the screens all work flawlessly with the Optisigns dongles.

We're a visitors center with interpretive exhibits, we are transitioning to OptiSigns because it's got an interface we can figure out, and multiple users within our facility are able to have accounts to control, update, and change what we are showing throughout the facility.

As of now we are able to stream from our YouTube channel, able to show videos on our video wall, and share content from facility partners. It has been reliable and with help we are figuring out the features to most effectively use it to make the staff and visitor experience better.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

Some of the processes are not super intuitive, but the support is there to work you through it. Terminology seems a bit confusing, but that also could be because we are not familiar with terms of art in the digital signage industry. 

The scheduling feature in concept looks great, but we still haven't managed to get it to work. Fortunately it's not a game changer, but we would love to get it working.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to easily change what is showing in our exhibits to make things relevant to current events in our community. 

Unlike the not so bright system that has been in place for many years, we can log into the interface and add assets, we can monitor what they are showing remotely, and are hoping to be able to set up scheduled playlists and scheduled slides. We have faith we will get there, and we can offer a better experience for the visitors and less frustration for the staff who curate content for the screens in our exhibits. as of now we are considering updating all of our screen content from the previous small blue boxes to OptiSigns simply for being able to monitor and update from a desk rather than having to go to an exhibit and dismantle things to be able to start a diagnostic and repair, or an update.

I like how easy OptiSigns is to use and manage remotely. Setting up screens, scheduling content, and updating displays is straightforward, even across multiple locations. The Canva integration and playlist scheduling make it simple to keep content fresh and organized. It’s been reliable, flexible, and a great value compared to more complicated signage platforms.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

The biggest frustration for me has honestly been the hardware side. OptiSigns has one dedicated hardware option, but it's only offered in white, which does not always fit the aesthetic of a space. Because of that, I ended up using third party display hardware from overseas manufacturers, and those setups can be a bit finicky and inconsistent. To be fair, that is not really OptiSigns’ fault, but there are only so many ways to run digital signage software without connecting a screen to some type of external player or computer.

**What problems is OptiSigns solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OptiSigns helps us keep communication throughout the club organized, dynamic, and easy to update in real time. Instead of printing flyers or manually changing signage, we can instantly rotate schedules, events, promotions, announcements, and social content across multiple screens. It creates a much more polished and professional atmosphere while also helping members stay informed about what is happening throughout the day. The ability to manage everything remotely and schedule content in advance saves a significant amount of time operationally.

This may be my ignorance talking, but I don’t like that we have to create a new asset when I only want to change a small part of the screen’s content. In our office, we try to keep a welcome screen tailored to individual clients, but to update something as simple as the client’s name, I either have to rename the asset or create a copy just to make that change.

What I like best about OptiSigns is how easy it makes managing digital signage without constant attention. We use it to display announcements, event schedules, videos, and a live Google Calendar, which automatically keeps our screens up to date. The drag-and-drop editor and templates save time, even for non-designers, while remote management makes updates simple from anywhere. I personally create branded content in Canva, but the built-in tools are more than capable. Overall, it’s an affordable, practical solution that streamlines how we communicate across multiple screens.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

The main downside is that the interface can feel a bit clunky and outdated. Navigating folders and locating uploaded content isn’t always intuitive, and tasks like organizing files or uploading to the correct location can take more time than expected. The playlist feature also has a learning curve and isn’t as straightforward as it could be. While the platform is powerful and gets the job done, a more modern, streamlined UI/UX would make it much easier to use day-to-day.

As the only staff member in Marketing and Communications, it can be challenging to consistently reach all of our audiences in a timely and engaging way. We serve students, parents, donors, volunteers, and visitors in our physical space, and each group needs quick, clear information about who we are and what we do. OptiSigns helps centralize that communication by allowing us to share real-time updates (because of the awesome integration with Google Calendars), deadlines, QR codes, event announcements, and internal highlights like staff introductions, birthdays, and new hires. It also gives us an easy way to showcase student experiences through photos from college visits, summer programs, and field trips. Overall, it helps us create a welcoming, informative environment for anyone who walks through our doors. I do not really use their AI tools but I am happy to keep learning.

My only suggestion would be on the billing side. It would be very helpful to have the ability to create sub-accounts so we could bill departments separately. This would make cost allocation and internal management much easier for organizations with multiple departments.

OptiSigns is effectively solving our biggest pain point: the bottleneck of relying on IT to manage and update digital signage content.
General company-wide information as well as department-specific content is now being communicated quickly and effectively. IT has been completely removed from the process of uploading and managing user content. End users in each department can now manage and update their own displays directly, giving teams full ownership and much faster turnaround times.
This has significantly reduced IT workload, improved communication speed, and empowered departments to keep their information fresh and relevant in real time.

I find OptiSigns very easy to use, and I love that there are a lot of great templates available. These templates make it simple to just drop in information depending on what kind of announcement we need, like holiday closures or upcoming events. It's nice that some templates come with motion to make them eye-catching without extra effort. The ability to upload our own assets is fantastic as well, allowing us to add pre-made flyers to the playlist and quickly update the screen. Additionally, setting up OptiSigns was easy with the dongle that simply plugs into the TV, making it straightforward to add locations to our online profile.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

Recently, I had to try to use a hotspot Wi-Fi to upload a new playlist because the in-house Wi-Fi was malfunctioning. It takes longer without properly conveying what you are trying to do is downloading, so you're unsure that it's not working or it's not going through. I do wish that there was some way to let you know that the file is uploading so that you don't just think it's not working.

I easily update signage remotely using OptiSigns, eliminating delays and avoiding paper waste while ensuring direct communication with staff, clients, and visitors.

The OptiSigns program is fairly simple to operate, and it has been beneficial for our department’s needs. Pricing was reasonable and Onboarding was quick and painless. The program runs pretty smoothly and I haven't came across any glitches as of yet.

**What do you dislike about OptiSigns?**

The only thing I dislike is that my IT department hasn’t approved Outlook access, so I have to keep reloading the updated spreadsheet instead of having it update automatically in real time.
