I am sorry that you are running into a speed issue. Have you spoken with our Technical Support (https://www.quotewerks.com/support.asp) about what you are experiencing? We have experienced technicians that will help determine possible causes (environment, database maintenance, upgrading Database, etc).
As far as the interface is concerned, we released version 5.3 of QuoteWerks that has an updated interface and also recently announced QuoteWerks Web (https://www.quotewerks.com/quotewerksweb.asp). QuoteWerks Web has a new interface that we have received numerous positive comments about.
