There is so much to keep up with in the construction industry, and Fieldwire is capable of handing it all. This app/website offers great features like mark ups, RFI submissions, photo documentation, files tabs for certain forms you may need to download or upload, and so much more. Everything is cloud based so no matter where you’re at, you can access info 24/7. This makes it great whenever I and in the field updating blueprints with as built markups for conduit layout. Our company gets the most use out of the markup feature. It keeps us up to date on where we are on progression. Another feature that really helps us is the forms tab. We store battery tests, wire testing, etc. under this section. Just click on the template you made, and edit it however you need. All the forms save on your account, so any job you may have can all use the same template if needed. All in all, we wouldn’t survive without this software. **What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?** I want the application version of Fieldwire to have all the same features that the website version has. There is much more you can do on the website, it just requires an internet connection. That isn’t always possible in the field. I use the app and then when I get service, it’ll update after the fact. **What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?** It’s really helping us stay up to date on as built drawings. I work in Renewable Energy Services, e.g., Solar, Battery Storage, Hydroelectric, Commissioning and Decom jobs. My team and I are able to work on different areas of the site and publish real-time photos & notes. I can set up check lists, different tasks with criteria. It is a great way to keep track of any project, time management and worker accountability. As well as proof of work and before and after pictures with meta data like time and GPS locations. The Fieldwire app and interface are easy to navigate and customize for any project or job. I look forward to new features and continued use of the platform. **What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?** I'm not sure, I seem to learn about different features on every job I go to. Hyperlink the drawings and documentations Taking photos Generate site report. **What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?** 1. Price. It's expensive when we need more users. Compared to the unlimited user account from the opposition 2. Uploading drawings and renaming them can be a challenge, due to a lack of a customisation function for renaming the drawings. Drawings are not always perfect. The OCR function can be very challenging when the drawing pages and names are not aligned. However, it is always active when uploading drawings, which creates a lot of work trying to fix it. 3. Generating a report can be tricky. Sometimes, we wish to generate a report directly from the drawing, or even from the filtered tasks, instead of navigating to the report page and changing the filter. There is no way to check the task before generating a report. 4. Lack of a function that allows the admin to revert to the previous version of the job. For example, if someone accidentally deletes drawings, there is no button to bring them back immediately. All the tasks are gone with the drawings. 5. Lack of localisation; simple things, such as changing the date format, are missing. 6. Lack of ultra wide camera support on iPad pro **What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?** An easy way to transfer information from the office to the site team. From the new employee to the experience tech in operations, they can easily see what needs to be done, view plans, update tasks, and provide comments and feedback on each item. Office folks can easily see contraints, provide feedback, and keep in the loop on multiple projects going on at once. **What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?** It is not a CRM, and doesn't handle outside quoting integrations. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?** I use it mostly to take pictures on-site based on the existing drawings or aerial pictures I upload. It is very easy to work on that when I am back in my office and try to visualize the locations in my drawings. I like how I can create a report of photolog very easily. I don't need to process a lot if I use this app efficiently in the field. I like to categorize them and add category to each of my tags which makes it very easy to post process at office. **What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?** What I don't like about this app is it is very difficult to create or edit lines or any other attributes on the computer as easily it can be done on the phone. **What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem for me before fieldwire is to be mindful of which photos were from where. I needed to be doing it in an order so that the photos were in a sequential order. With Fieldwire I can drop a task with some priority level and do my work in any sequence in the field and be fine at the end of the day. Creating report from fieldwire is also very easy.
