I find it to be the worst solicitation software, at least here in Utah. It's so bad that most of us subcontractors just filter out emails from PlanHub and wait for other software invites instead. Also, there's a misleading communication about subscriptions. The customer service says subcontractors don't need to pay, but then they ask you to sign up and pay. It's annoying that they don't allow easy access to plans without a paid subscription. The ease of implementation allowed me extra time to focus on other company operations and product expansion. We have made it a daily routine to look for more companies and get them added to our contact list. We have never had to use customer support because the ease of use is self explanatory. The platform has filters so you only see what types of projects that fit your scope of work and you can easily block other contractors/vendors from seeing your information. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** If you don't apply the filters correctly, the drag time can get a little long because of the amount of information that is downloading. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a small independent distributor. Getting a contact person at various General and Subcontractors can be a painful experience. PlanHub makes the much easier to organize who and when we have contact with people. The platform makes us so much more efficient and has allowed us to expand from a low voltage wire distributor to now offering materials in high voltage, asset protection, and utility products. ### 5. It was very easy to get acclimated to it and to learn how to use it. I love the filter feature, it really helps narrow down what I'm looking to bid on! The PlanHub customer service is amazing and they have been very helpful throughout the process! **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** The only negative thing I've found isn't about the platform, but how some GC's do not respond to questions about information needed to create an accurate quote. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** PlanHub is helping me get connected to GCs in my area. Being that I just moved to where I am, it's been a great tool to create new business relationships for me. As a result, I hit send multiple times, only to realize later that it actually sent multiple emails. This can be frustrating and could create confusion for recipients. It would be great if this could be fixed to prevent duplicate submissions. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** PlanHub is helping us eliminate wasted time by streamlining the bidding process. We can now send bids much quicker, which allows us to focus on other important tasks and take on more opportunities. Before, when using CMD or direct ITB's, it wouldn't show what subs are bidding what. We can now see that under the "Subcontractors" Tab using the "Activity" drop down box. ### 10. The information on the projects is complete, and the contact information for bidding GCs seems accurate. The project search also returns a lot of relevant projects beyond just our ITBs. I found the interface to be pretty intuitive so it was easy to get started, but I also got some good tips and tricks from their onboarding training. They evidently have a Pipedrive integration, which I'm looking forward to trying at some point soon to cut down on data entry. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** Bid planning and bids submitted are somewhat siloed so, for example, you can't see in the project view which GCs you've already submitted bids for. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** We provide consruction waste (roll-off) services to GCs. We source project information from PlanHub and are able to receive invitations to bid (ITBs) from General Contractors and send bids to General contracts fro their projects via PlanHub ### 13. I struggle tremendously with another competitors version that is a paid version. I get very limited results from them and it is a shame. i won't make that mistake again next year. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** the paid for full version is expensive for new start up and unfortunatley I only have limited access because I am using the free version. Coverage is the greatest weakness to any contractor and I still find myself scrambling to fill in the blanks at bid time. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** Subcontractor coverage. We bid in multiple states, sometimes for the first time so I am depending on Plan Hub to help me find subcontractors in these new markets. ### 43. It's not possible to create nested folders, so all files are "plans", "addenda", etc. I can't separate Addendum 1 from Addendum 2. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finding new bidders to bid on my network. Some communication within my current bidding list. More productivity in precon, since it is a very quick process to set up a project and send it out to bid. ### 44. The ability to filter out the Bids that I am not interested in is vital for the continued high-volume usage of this program! Without it I wouldn't be able to use Planhub properly. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** I wouldn't go as far as to label my response a 'Dislike' but rather a suggestion. The formatting is simple, but I feel more could be done with the interface through the emails that come in and the ability to send an RFI to the corresponding party you are looking for, through those emails. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** Planhub is increasing the volume of Bids as well as accelerating the rate at which I can verify, process and submit those same bids. Needless to say, this is a tremendous time saver and allows me as the estimator, to maximize my time and efforts while yielding more fruitful results. ### 45. Not only that, but it sends a daily reminder about the due dates for each project. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** In my opinion, there is nothing I dislike. However, I have heard from friends that they do not like receiving several emails from PlanHub (reminders) in a single day. In the end, those are things that you get used to. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** My main problem is keeping track of all the projects around the area. Planhub, which has a tool that reminds you about tasks on the website, keeps you updated about any RFI's or any new information being added to the project itself. ### 46. The platform is super easy to use and is paramount to the success my firm is having. We cannot recommend PlanHub enough. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** Sometimes there are communication issues with the GCs we bid to, though that is less on PlanHub. It would be more helpful to see bid award status' automatically, but that being said my complaints are minor. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** My firm is trying to broaden our national appeal in the GC and construction space. PlanHub makes it incredibly easy to see all available opportunities, bid within minutes, and form personal connections with GCs and construction firms nationwide. ### 48. For the odd angles, simply holding down spacebar allows any angle for measuring. **What do you dislike about PlanHub?** The sq ft of projects and the scope was at one time in the emails which were somewhat helpful in that if the job was not relavant it could easily be skipped over rather than going to the page. **What problems is PlanHub solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps our department develop meaningful leads for our representatives in the field.
