  ### 3. Designing with assemble

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trey H. | Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Being able to make a 3D preview of the design allows you to estimate the cost structure, make improvements in it thus facilitating the implementation of the project, since its management is simple and allows the participation of all those involved in the project from the team to the final consumer.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The interface of the program sometimes gets slow slow slowing down the work, large loads of information collapse the system, there are options to edit the design that do not always work.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

If you want to involve consumers in the design process to obtain full customer satisfaction with the result, you should use the assemble tools.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It facilitates the design execution process since the final consumers will be able to have a preliminary image of the product, thus allowing them to make changes that will improve the cost and the final image of the product.

  ### 4. Autodesk's Assemble review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keerthi S. | VDC Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

. Assemble is a 3 D based modeling software and the best thing I like about the software is it has 3D model based take off ability. It can pull off the data from elements that was fed to the elements in Revit. It is a very user friendly easy to user software. It can also be used as an alternate model viewing software. You can also extract the meta data from the

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

While assemble is a good estimating software, it does it have a material library that we can use to fill out the items that were not modeled in revit software.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Assemble cannot be used as a stand alone estimating software but the estimates from Assemble can be used to verify the estimates from other software that are made purely for estimating purposes

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With assemble, we are trring to save all the data on cloud. The estimates can be accessed at any time and any place with good internet connectivity. Also, the take off process is very easy if all elements with proper information are modeled in Revit.

  ### 5. Quickly Take Iterations of Files and Send them to Systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar Z. | Project Systems Manager, Construction

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

  ### 6. Assemble is a great program to help with visual understanding in the estimate phase of a project.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandrea M. | Preconstruction Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Like the title says, it does a great job to help visually understand what is being proposed in the design for the project. When often the drawings can get messy and unclear in a 2D view, this program helps put the building in 3D and allows you to alter the view for a clearer understanding. I love that you can create multiple views for the project that show different aspects (i.e. walls/partitions, specialties and equipment, plumbing, etc.). It is also very convenient that the 3D view can work with the 2D drawings so you can click on things in either window to see where it is located in the drawing.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

There is so much that this program can do, but it is hard cramming it all in one little window. There are times when I want to see the 3D view, the drawings, the schedule, AND the materials and it can get crowded at times. Maybe I need a bigger monitor but that is something that can be aggravating at times. I use the program online and there are also times when I change something and want to undo but have yet to figure it out. In addition, if the architects send over a messy file, it can be fairly inconvenient for us, the general contractors, to make sense of the drawings if they did not clarify things as intended for this program. So if the architects are willing to work with you on their revit design, then it is worth it.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

I highly recommend this program for anyone who deals with project viewing on the daily, worth it!

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assemble is doing so much to benefit me and my team by helping clarify what items are what on projects and what quantities to use. It runs smoothly and is very technologically advanced.

  ### 7. Assemble - a value added product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

As a national, General Contractor, deeply involved in BIM and Virtual Coordination and Construction, it is very useful for our team to efficiently and accurately leverage a Design Team's models on the basis of quantities and costs.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Not a fault of the software, but as the saying goes.... "garbage in, garbage out." As a profession, Contractors are in a great position to encourage the Design profession to embrace the concept of Model First Always. If you model it, model it accurately. If you model it, I can quantify and price it.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

The one key piece of advice I would forward is to thoroughly vet the models you are integrating into Assemble; garbage in, garbage out. If the modeled objects do not accurately reflect the scope being evaluated, your resultant effort for quantities etc. will not be accurate.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are bridging the gap within our processes for quantity and cost take-off. The efficiencies of Assemble, have allowed our Pre-Con teams the ability to more thoroughly investigate the scope of the project and in a more timely manner.

  ### 8. The Quintiscential extraction tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John J. | Director of Technology Optimization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The spped and efficiency of color coding and puling quantity and property data from model elements. The superb viewer tha can function on tablet as wellas desk tops and the ability to restructure data for estimators are a plus. Th greatest value we have found in tracking versions of model changes.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Sometimes the server can lockup, at least it did in the past as we loaded larger models. We think this has been improved over time as server technology on how it was supported was improved. We wish we could highlight elements in a drawing not modeled, but merelky anotated. We also wish we could look at multiple buildiong models as they relate to each other and adjust the orbit point different than what was in the native models.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Be sure to do a quality review of your model before publishing to Assemble.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extractions and change deviation for model comparisons suring hard bid sitautions as well as showingt change deviation and explaining what just changed to an owner. We have alos used it for sucessfull value engineering efforts.

  ### 9. Easy to use BIM tool for tech-savy users and non-techies alike, and a killer marketing tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Ease of use, getting up and running and sharing with users is a breaze. Hiding elements to focus in on desired areas is simple (pending how well the model is built...) - and an excellent marketing tool to showcase 3D design and intent.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Nothing on the Assemble side, limitations are almost always based on how well built the model itself is and who built it.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Watch some Assemble webinars or ask for a demonstration.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual aids, cross checking quantities, marketing tool.

  ### 10. The best tool we've seen thus far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CJ B. | Construction Technology Program Manager, Construction, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The ability to access our data beyond the authoring tool has been a huge breakthrough. Navisworks contains the data, but it is not easily accessible or exportable. Assemble has been able to accomplish both of those feats with a great web-based viewer.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The additional publishing requirement is a downside. I'm hopeful that in the future, any models that are cloud hosted can be automatically published to assemble without using the local machines resources. Publish times can sometimes be in the 3-4 hour range (rendering your computer unavailable for other CAD work).

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

If you are a company that is looking to gain access to your model data, then assemble could be the tool for you. If you have access to 3D models during bid time, then Assemble could streamline your estimating process.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress tracking has been the biggest challenge assemble has enabled us to solve. We take that data and compare it to our budgets to get more accurate earned value tracking metrics.

**Official Response from Samira Tily:**

> Hi CJ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback as well as writing such a great review. We really appreciate your insight and value your feedback to make our solutions better.

  ### 11. QTO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Linking between Revit to get updates in the models as the work is progressing, and Power BI to track quantities and communicate the change with team members.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

When you hide objects you can't go back and unhide the ones you prefer.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

I would recommend this product to be widely used as it speeds up the time and works live and simultaneously with the construction ongoing.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discrepancies in quantities between construction team and design team.

  ### 12. Model review and takeoff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashant S. | Estimator, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

- Use model as talking point for precon meetings
- model based takeoff
- ease of use, especially the defaul model tree is very intuitive
- future 2d+3d takeoff tools (2d revit drawings visible in Assemble)

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

-upload process (wish upload would work from autodesk glue)
-management of reference models during upload process
- 2D tool does not work many times.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

- Get a single license and give assemble a try on projects over $50mil.
- This is not a modelling software and your team has no risk of editing the content in the model.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- model based estimating
- quick decisions during precon meetings
- validation of 2D takeoff
- team collaboration both within and external

  ### 13. Data export limitations for assemble

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Assemble really filled a need for the industry with model based QTOs and tracking model changes

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The data export functionality is limited in assemble. It only exports an Excel file with formatting and collapsible sections, which is okay for just looking at the data, but we wanted to do further analysis with the data, which was difficult given the limited options for export (it was harder for us to process the formatted excel data rather than a CSV file for example)

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It works fairly well, but the export function works but does not provide an easily usable format for further data processing. It is nice that it can be integrated with Power BI, and we have been able to create dashboards on different jobs that have been useful for the project teams on site.

  ### 14. It has greatly aided my projects so far.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The ease that I am able to create different views, With a few clicks i am able to divide the project into many parts without much work. It is also helpful that you can click on an individual item in the 3d view and it will show you exactly what it is named in the model. This helps because you can see exactly how an architect decided to group that individual item.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Some ways an architect may model something in revit may not be picked up by assemble. For example depending on how the architect models wall paneling, assemble may just pick up the wall as a whole. This is not necessarily assembles fault but it can throw off quantities if not caught.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main use for assemble is to generate takeoff quantities to double check quantities that have been done by hand. It is usually very accurate but some random problems may throw off the numbers however with the manual takeoff we are able to investigate the numbers that are off and see which side is wrong. It helps are estimator with peace of mind and makes sure they miss less.

  ### 15. Director of Construction Innovation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Director of Construction Innovation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Data analytics over large data sets. Data management and visualization. I like the ease of use, and the ability to create template views to be shared project to project. I like the new import Assemble parameters from other projects to keep things standard. I like the integration with Power BI, it's great to visualize data trends. The integration with Navisworks is great for integrating trade contractor models easier.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The system is generally slow, and in my opinion it is more of a data management and quantity analysis tool than a true estimating tool. I don't like the fact that information about rooms are available in Assemble, but I can't see them in Power BI for some reason. Generally when adding a lot of data in Assemble properties the system will either freeze or need refreshed in Google Chrome.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

I am a big fan of mapping out a process. Understand what your company process is to get models either created in house or received in to Assemble, and who is entering what data in to those models to be analyzed. Make sure you have a process to evaluate the models you are bringing in to Assemble. Make sure you understand how to sync Assemble properties with properties in Revit. Understand what data needs to be added to model elements when the next version of the design models are published. IE What items have not been assigned a bid package or a cost code in Assemble? When implementing Assemble, it's VERY important to have a QA QC process on the model data you are analyzing and reporting. Make sure the quantities make sense.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Target value design efforts on projects where the design teams share models regularly, schedule management in the field, somewhat piloting facilities data management entry with assemble in the field as equipment is delivered.

**Official Response from Samira Tily:**

> Hi David,

Thank you for taking the time to share best practices and recommendations with others. We value your feedback in order to make our solutions better.

  ### 16. Assemble for Design and Construction use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris L. | BIM Coordinator, Architecture & Planning, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Assemble gives users who are not familiar with 3D Authoring tools a perspective into a 3D model both from a visual perspective and the data inherent behind the elements. It gives a great vehicle for narrowing the data down to just what the focus needs to be on.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Inability to control how model data can export from Revit. Sometimes unexpected results have occurred by not knowing how the export engine on the Assemble back end parses data

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Validate your estimating workflow and look for opportunities to LEAN your estimating processes by using Assemble.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting iterative results for Quantity takeoff by using Assemble with Revit during early design and then continuing with model exports through detailed design to validate the early cost estimates. Using the Assemble plugin with Navisworks has also been beneficial for dealing with different data sources that can be populated together in Navisworks only.

  ### 17. I see potential but needs work

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

i like that it's easy to share. My project teams like to use this for the quantity takeoffs. The viewer is easy to operate and is pretty smooth to run on any computer or tablet

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

We would really use this product at an early stage if we were able to get a decent architect's model. Most of the time we are trying to use this is when the project is in an early stage to pull quantities. This helps our precon team visualize the project and do material takeoffs right from the model. There's often a delay with getting the architect's model and so the information isn't always readily available

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Make sure you have a decent model to analyze

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Model visulization and material take-offs.

  ### 18. A great data mining tool, but room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | VDC Sr. Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Great visualization tool for quickly seeing scopes of work. Speed to add color and data mine is good.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The home page for projects is overwhelming. Wish it was organized better. Similarly, once in a project, the models list can be confusing and the saved views thumbnails can be overwhelming and confusing. Wish that was better orgnaized. Also wish it was a little more intuitive to color code objects and isolate elements to save views.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preconstruction QTO and scope gaps. Great visual verification and scope clarifications tool.

  ### 19. Great Program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan L. | Business Unit VDC Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Ease of use. It is a great tool to get our preconstruction team access to the model and verify quantities. Our teams are starting to use it for production tracking as well in the field

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Would like to see better integration with BIM360. If a model is published to BIM360 you should be able to pull it into Assemble.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting more of our team members access to the model and production tracking for our self perform teams. We check scopes of work and verify quantities.

  ### 20. Great tool, if you know what to use it for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jean G. | VDC Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Helps consume & share (Revit) model information in a digestible format. Helps democratize the use of a model for non-BIM/VDC savvy professionals. Powerful when used as a "model-linked" database to be used at various milestones of the project lifecycle. And a misc one: color coding the model based on properties

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Closer integration with BIM 360 (now that the acquisition came through) so users and administrators can benefit from the shared back-end (more specifically: Single Source of Truth for models, user management & granularity of permissions)

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Be careful what you use it for! It's not magic but rather garbage in - garbage out. Before you upload models to the platform, evaluate what you are trying to get out of it considering the quality of the model

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CSA quantity take-offs, production planning and tracking, color coding the model based on properties

  ### 21. Working with 5D modeling at preconstruction stage

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The most helpful feature I like about Assemble is the easy way to make a visual gut check of the model when you do your QC if everything is modeled and coded properly.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

I have a concern creating variance reports. When you compare the past version of the model with the current, the comparison sometimes isn't accurate. This happens due to the fact the model elements have been exposed to some changes or replaced entirely.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assemble helps to speed up the model based takeoff process. Check the model completness. Check the coding of elements, easy leverage the quantities by type, code, group etc. Another cool feature is a possibility to quick compare model with the drawing. That's a real advantage!

  ### 22. Assemble

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Great programs! Great visuals for data!

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Not all programs are the most user friendly and can be a bit intimidating for some folks, making it difficult to use on all projects if not everyone is bought into the software. The website for assemble (G2) is the least user friendly though, very cumbersome and aggravating to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Great, make sure everyone is bought into these programs or it may be difficult to coordinate depending on your use of them.

It's not too often you need to use the G2 website, but when you do it is the absolute worst to navigate. They really need to fix it where all of the tabs actually work.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for having the most up to date information which is great for big teams trying to collaborate.

  ### 23. Good tools but lacking the final step

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camila S. | VDC Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

organization capabilities of takeoffs and inventories

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

adding costs or exporting quantities to add cost is not streamlined and missing the final connectivity.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Great opportunity to start capitalizing on the models by other departments.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

fast quantity takeoffs from models

  ### 24. Collaboration at best

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Assemble is a great tool that we use to take all of our model data and have it pushed to one collaborative model where everyone can access and view the model simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

I don't like that you can't run the timeliner function on the deskktop version. Only on the tablet version.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Its a great tool and its getting better

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving multiple changes on a project. We are finding misssing parts of the design.

  ### 25. Enjoyable experience using Assemble

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Saves considerable time over traditional takeoff methods and useful output formats make for easy integration into estimating templates

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Loading times on larger models are annoying.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Easy to use and not much training required however remote and in house training was provided.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduction in time required to carry out takeoff and also able to visualise areas of project that may not be elevated on drawing sets.

  ### 26. Assemble is a great tool to quickly grab quantities and visualize a project through the 3D model.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wes W. | Preconstruction Manage, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

I like that I am able to assign different elements in the model to bid package groups, as well hide and unhide layers.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

I don't like that I'm not able to "draw" on top of a model like you can in some other programs. This would be a helpful feature for models that are not quite detailed yet.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assemble has provided a quick way to easily visualize and takeoff quantities from a model, granted the designer of the model put in the time to code and draw things correctly.

  ### 27. Great tool to teach estimators to get comfortable at interrogating the models

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The ability to navigate the models using only internet connection. The possibility for estimators to change the units, group and change categories to review the quantities. The ability to color code the elements based on pour breaks. the synchronization with revit and the option to work bidirectional

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

the inability to properly load large models and the challenge of bringing large infrastructure rail models and load properly unless they are placed in 0,0,0 coordinate instead of keeping the correct geolocation

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making staff comfortable using a model they know they will not "break". Giving them the chance to use an online platform to review the models and to plan projects

  ### 28. Efficient Pre-Con using Assemble

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Ease of adoption of the pllatform allows for simple and effective rollout to the business.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Perhaps it is too simple in it<s current state and could benefit from somewhat of a nice "overhaul" to be adapted to most recent realities of the construction industry or today.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Implement with the support of vendor specialist.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the pre-con work is currently performed directly in Assemble for any bids, early bids and tenders our company is working on. This allows for us to split the work between the pre-con phase and the actual work that will be later on performed on the job site through BIM360.

  ### 29. Useful Product with Many Uses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The interface is user friendly with a small learning curve. I like that superintendents and those with limited computer skills are able to pick up the program so quickly.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

I would love to have a way to e-mail the files directly from an iPad or tablet.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to get quick quanity takeoffs to verify subcontractor billings in the field. Walking with a tablet makes for a quick way to verify what is complete, in progress, and not-complete.

  ### 30. Model Review and Take Off

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronda M. | VDC Manager, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Model Review features with grouping for QTO. The model viewer is lightweight and easy to use. Also love the simple grouping techniques with selection windows.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

Filter functionality could use improvement. There are some portions of Revit that are not visible or able to be filtered in assemble.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relieved me by allowing PMs, PEs, and PreCon to do their own model review and takeoff. The use it primarily for skin of building but they also utilize it for visual understanding for other items.

  ### 31. Good program, user friendly, sometimes slow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Program is very easy to use and intuitive, love the excel connector and am interested in the Power BI connection options as well. I use Assemble for supplementing my estimating take-off's every single day.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The program is sometimes very slow, usually because of model size. I wish it could handle larger models.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Assemble for tracking progress in our engineering design process, as well as for model-based estimating related tasks. I like the flexibility of assigning cutsom properties to model objects and being able to sort through model data, and being able to provide visuals for our clients or project teams.

  ### 32. Deploy files on a schedule please

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** colin m. | Manager of Construction Automation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The team that originally built the product and the support it now has since the acquisition

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

trouble with tekla IFC, need ability to manage more than one view, need to bulk produce views based on settings, need to push folks to update their views from a management portal, simplify the number of faces, preview functionality of views, more robust punchlisting

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

model in the field

  ### 33. Assemble Doesn't do much

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle G. | VDC Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Model based takeoffs. It's pretty easy to see how much of what is in the model. However, there is too much reliance on what the computer gives you, rather than the quality of the model

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The interface. I also don't like that the program really only does 1 thing, and that thing you're able to do in other autodesk software already

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preconstruction takeoffs

  ### 34. Superintendent at LGA Airport Renovation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enea C. | Superintendent, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

It is easy to use and navigate through. Navisworks is very hard to operate as a first time user.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

The program tends to lag and take an extended period of time to load the model.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assemble helps with coordinating the constructabiulity of certain building systems, by allowing us to see each component and explode each part of the system to view it in full. I can look at the interior and exterior aspects as a whole from every component.

  ### 35. Assemble is quick and easy to use, but it helps if you have good quality models in the first place!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

I like that you can quickly create multiple views which represent different aspects that you might be interested in seeing to suit different uses of the model. Being able to add data to model objects is a huge benefit for quantity take-offs.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

It struggles with large data files so can lag or take time to load views. It lends itself primarily to Revit files as supposed to other software models.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Give it a try

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we struggle to load detailed models using Assemble, we do not use it to it's full potential because it can be slow at times. Also we are reliant on models from others which impacts the quality/ accuracy of models being recieved. The benefits are that we can manipulate some data, we can access the model via the web which is great for site use. We also like the ability to colour and quickly filter objects/ data.

  ### 36. Great for Fixing Problems Before they arise

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The ability to isolate parts of the building, both physically and relating to the phase of construction. This allows you to visualize production and scheduling, and to root out problems ahead of time--savings tremendous costs.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

User interface could be a little better. It takes a lot of learning to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Its worth it for large project, small buildings (<5,000 sqft) with simple system not necessary

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The program can be slow to load

**Reviewed by:** Mike Q. | Technology Integrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

Assemble is a cool tool that will bring a ton of value to the industry. I am excited to see it totally written into BIM360

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

It would be awesome to see it work directly with the model database and not work in a separate one tom inject back in.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Model Analysis, Workpacking, ect

  ### 38. Assemble Integration from a VDC lens

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** edgar r. | VDC Coordinator II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

How simple and easy it is to pull quantities from a model. Not just for estimating Pre-Construction but for tracking changes in design and having the ability to attach a dollar value to changes in real time.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

There is a continuous improvement in assemble integration to other platforms such as BIM 360 & PowerBI. There is an opportunity to show costumers how to leverage that integration to there workflows.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

-The amount of Data not being reviewed from 3d Models is putting you at a disadvantage. Try Assemble, you will quickly realize the insight you didn't know you overlooked!

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits
- Having a visual of changes for team members

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

It seems that the estimates are based on valid model data, can be updated easily, and are no less accurate than in another platform.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

I'm concerned about the cost of this tool overall. It was prohibitively expensive before it was an Autodesk product. Now it is hard to know the true cost of this software in the context of a larger agreement.

**Recommendations to others considering Assemble:**

Consider the cost and if your team is ready for Model-based estimating

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting more disciplined and consistent estimates. This requires some effort on our part to commit to using the 'new' tool, however the cloud-based and Autodesk managed aspects of this are attractive

**Reviewed by:** Tristen D. | VDC Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Assemble?**

The most helpful aspect of Assemble is the ability to quantify the equipment in any given project, instead of having to do it by looking through the model.

**What do you dislike about Assemble?**

At times, it doesn't quantify properly and will give incorrect information.

**What problems is Assemble solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an intern, it has helped my understanding of the construction industry and has helped with my tasks of creating equipment lists

  ### 45. Easy to learn, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars
