"Indispensable Data Despite a Frustrating Experience"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What I like best is its seamless integration with the entire Google ecosystem. Connecting it to Google Ads and Google Search Console unlocks another level of insight, allowing us to see how our ad spend and SEO efforts translate into actual user behavior. It is the definitive source of truth for all of our website traffic data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Let's be honest, the user experience is a real challenge. The interface feels like it was designed for data scientists, not for the marketers and business owners who rely on it daily. Finding specific data points often feels like a treasure hunt. While the tool is powerful, you have to fight the interface to unlock that power, which is a significant and unnecessary drain on time and energy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Insights and Real-Time Tracking Made Easy"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics gives me a complete picture of how users find and interact with our website. I can easily track traffic sources, top-performing pages, and conversion paths—all in real time. The detailed metrics and custom reports help me make smarter decisions and measure the actual impact of marketing campaigns with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics can feel complicated and takes time to learn, especially with GA4’s new setup and interface changes. Some important reports require custom configuration, and it’s easy to get lost in too many metrics. Data sampling and delays can also make it harder to get precise real-time insights. Overall, it’s powerful—but not always beginner-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Invaluable Insights, Complex Interface"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I rely on Google Analytics to monitor visitor behavior and measure performance trends on my website. It gives me insights into traffic sources, user engagement, and overall growth, so I can make better decisions based on data. I like the depth of insights it provides, and the detailed reports and real-time data help me clearly understand user behavior and traffic patterns. It gives me confidence to make decisions based on actual numbers instead of assumptions. I also appreciate that it integrates well with other tools like Google Search Console, providing a clearer picture of traffic performance and user behavior. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

One challenge with Google Analytics is that it can feel overwhelming at first because of the number of reports and settings available. The interface sometimes takes time to get used to, especially for beginners. A more simplified dashboard for new users would make it easier to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Insights, Slight Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like Google Analytics for its clear visibility into website performance and its strong channel and campaign attribution. It gives me behavioral insights at scale and provides conversion and funnel tracking. I find it easy to access, and it's widely adopted. I appreciate its strong integrations and that it's privacy-forms and future ready. I also enjoy fast signal detection, the common language it creates across teams, and the flexible event tracking in GA4. Historical context and benchmarking are valuable, as well as the support for experimentation. It scales without friction, has a low barrier to entry, and integrates well with other systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I find the limited B2B and account level insights in Google Analytics a bit frustrating. There are attribution gaps, and sometimes the data can feel abstract. The learning curve for GA4 is pretty steep for new users, which can be daunting. There's also sampling, threshold, and data limits that can be limiting. I face some identity and privacy limitations, and the real-time sales and revenue insights aren't as comprehensive as I'd like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformative Data Insights with Challenges"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to track website and app performance by measuring how users interact with digital content. I appreciate that it acts as a digital detective transforming raw website traffic into actionable insights. Aside from its core tracking features, Google Analytics excels in its ability to act as a unified data hub and predictive engine. It is rarely used in isolation; its true power comes from its ability to act as a central hub for my entire marketing and data stack. The initial setup was deceptively easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

While Google Analytics 4 is a powerful tool, it has several widely documented shortcomings that can be frustrating for both new and experienced users. It provides event-based tracking, but users often point to several critical shortcomings that impact reporting efficiency and data visibility. It prioritizes users' privacy and cross-platform tracking, but this architecture creates specific blind spots that hinder reporting efficiency, such as data thresholding and data retention limits. "Analyze Web Traffic Efficiently"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like that Google Analytics is comprehensive and free, as it offers all the data I need without paying anything. Its easy integration with any stack is a great benefit. Also, the real-time reports help me validate changes quickly. I like being able to set up custom events to track specific things in my application, and I greatly value how it integrates well with the rest of the Google ecosystem without extra effort. The initial setup is simple to start, just install the snippet and you already have basic tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The learning curve is quite steep, there are too many options and it can be confusing at first. Also, GA4 changed a lot compared to the previous version, I had to relearn several things. And the reports take time to update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Analytics with Room for Setup Improvement"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I mainly use Google Analytics for monitoring visitors and conversions from Google Ads and tracking pages. It helps me understand user behavior, identify which pages users visit most, and track where they are coming from, like ads, referrals, etc. I appreciate its ability to understand drop-offs, diagnose problems, and fix them. One of the most valuable features is conversion goals or event tracking, which helps track actions like form submissions, sign-ups, purchase events, and button clicks. This makes it easier to measure return on investment and understand what's driving results. I find the tool useful for measuring website performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

When Google Analytics was upgraded to GA4 from Universal Analytics, it was harder to set up and understand initially. Conversion and event tracking need more configuration and effort. Reports don't feel always straightforward. Better reporting and easier setup would improve the experience. Simplifying the event and conversion setup with guided setup and clearer explanations of metrics, as well as simpler report navigation, would be beneficial since sometimes it needs more clicks for short and basic insights.
