What do you like best?

What we like most about google forms is the variety of options that it allows for creating a form. Many of the forms we create require many different kinds of responses, and we have never run into a problem with having the certain type of response available through the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is not much to dislike about google forms. At times, depending on the complexity and variety of responses required, it sometimes takes a long time to make the template. When I first started using google forms, it took me a bit to really understand how to use it. The learning curve in mastering the software is a little steep, but it is fairly intuitive to use overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would most definitely recommend google forms for anyone who needs to collect many responses from their employees/colleagues. This is an easy and efficient way to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use google forms for a variety of uses in our department. Typically we will use forms to gauge interest in events/sign up for events. We also use the software to collect departmental data, from the most arbitrary things like lunch orders, to collecting workspace usage data for auditing purposes. During the pandemic, we have been using google forms as a way to keep track of when each person is in the building, to aid in contract tracing in the event a case of the virus occurs in the building. What do you like best?

It is super easy to create your form, everybody is capable to do without no development knowledge, just drag and drop the fields and write the questions.

You can split your questions in separate pages and the integration with Google Sheets is great, the results goes directly to a spreadsheet making it very easy to create statistics from the results.

Also you can make the forms open to everyone, anonymous or for specific persons. You can also set who has permission to see the results. If you have Google Suite and are not willing to spend more money on a solution just for forms probably is the best option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It is not pretty, it is not the best UX and you can't create more complex user flows like next questions based on the answer of previous one. If you can compare to others like typeform you will see that the user experience and options of customisations are very poor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are not planning very complex researches or don't need an awesome UI and UX you can go with Google Forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Qualitative and quantitative researches with customers and employees.

E-NPS, Mood Research, employees feedbacks, validate hypothesis and collect customer feedbacks.

Like any other google solution there is almost no support or customer service, if you have any doubt or problem figure out in the communities or by your own Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It is very easy to design forms using the product, and to a certain extent the visual appearance can be customized (pictures, background color, etc.). It is easily accessed by my colleagues who also frequently use Google Forms. It is easy to see the data in real time, and to modify questions in real time if needed. The data can be exported into a spreadsheet easily, and the resultant spreadsheet can also be analyzed within Google Sheets. The survey is easy to share with others, and the ability to shorten the link is an attractive feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Questions cannot be formatted (e.g., line breaks, boldface text, italicized text). The types of questions that can be asked are limited (e.g., no scaled responses). There do not seem to be many templates for commonly used types of forms. The form does not collect data on when people completed it, how long they took to complete it, etc. If I need to collect very important and detailed data, I will use Qualtrics instead because I find its analysis to be more detailed and its question types to be more varied. The link cannot be customized, to my knowledge, which is unfortunate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collecting info to guide group planning, obtain feedback, or gather/provide survey information. It is useful that it can export to a data file within Google Sheets easily. I can limit the use of the survey to individuals within my organization (Stanford University), which is often helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Google Forms is one of the easiest form builders out there. I use tons of forms on my website with plugins but Google Forms is perfect when I just want a form to appear by itself or I need to collaborate with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations, to add to its ease of use, there are several types of fields that are not available. It is not the end all forms and not suited for surveys like Qualtrics but for basic forms it is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Look elsewhere for survey forms but for a simple and quick form that is easy to manage Google Forms is perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sites that do not allow additional plugins (like WordCamp sites) Google Forms is a great way to collect the information that is needed. Being able to go straight into a Google sheet means I can collaborate different parts of the process with different people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Google forms is a very simple and easy tool, especially for those who have never done a search before. The graphics that are formed are great, very visual and intuitive. One of the things I like most is the possibility to change the format of the question while it is still available. I also like the possibility to update any questions while the form is running. There is an item at the end of Forms that indicates how much time is left to finish responding, which is great for bringing transparency to respondents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The worst thing about forms is that it is not possible to ask questions in the linkert style, where you can create tables with rows and columns to answer the questions. this is the main reason why I prefer not to use the forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Ask direct and quick questions to be answered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Google forms is great for creating forms, surveys and other types of quick surveys. Forms are well accepted on any computer or cell phone, so they are very good and responsive. It is also a great tool to connect with Google Sheets, since the results can go straight there. An integration with Google Slides is missing to get even better. What do you like best?

Using Google Forms is quick and quite straightforward. It is also free of cost, so for institutions with lesser budgets, fantastic survey forms can be created without having to incur huge costs on expensive systems. It's very easy to use and also really quick if you want to train someone for using it. In short, it is really hassle free and I would highly recommend this application to all my other fellows. Everything simply gets assimilated without any effort and the results are automatically saved into google sheets which can further be used for analysis of data. Another positive point that I feel is that people respond quickly and happily to google forms surveys when compared to surveys with hardcopy of response sheet. Thus, with regard to its use and automatic compilation of data for interpretation, google forms is absolutely great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I haven't experienced much of problems while using Google forms since it is really very simple to use. However, it is very basic in nature and thus you can't use it for advanced data manipulation. Also, thinking of conducting an exam is not at all possible in google form since in the exams we need a proper timer and invigilation. Overall, Google forms are really nice but some additional features for data analysis and interpretation would make the application a heaven for researchers like us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

To help influence future feature changes or additions in google forms platform, there should be a efficient query system to provide feedback about this directly to the Forms team. Try to use Google forms from laptop as using in phone may prove to be a bit tire some. Moreover, many more features are available while using through a laptop or desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Google forms helps a lot with the problem of collection of responses and data. It is very good to see data getting assimilated into simpler tables and charts to analyze and make decision accordingly. Use of google forms is also hassle free from both user and administrator end. It doesn't take more than 2-3 minutes for the user to fill the form thereby enabling the creator to have access to such large amounts of information in such a short period of time. What do you like best?

Google Forms are the easiest way of taking out surveys, feedback's and inputs from group of people in the most sophisticated manner, which is easiest and also quite fastest way of generating reports.

Forms provides no limit over number of responses and I think that makes it the best among any other rival.

Apart from this Google forms are easy to work with, All the editing tools are there, whether you want to make quizzes, surveys or feedback's.

The shorten link feature is the best, you can share your google forms with anyone with just a simple text URL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The formatting tools can be made better for more creativity in generating any form. We have only 4 types of fonts and that makes it so basic to use.

Also There's not much of customization you can do with google forms, it just looks same, every time. Apart from this There's nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are looking for a free platform for taking big surveys, feedback's from student, Google form is the best place to start work with. Only thing it lacks in is the graphical customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm working with an educational institute and I have to ask for various details from every one. Before using Google forms I used to call everyone, but now I just shared a simple link and that makes my work done.

I'm also scheduling webinars and workshops, for that I usually use google forms for participants registration and at the end I can provide them Certificates easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like how easy the application is to create and manage. The various options of text type are actually helpful and easy to create. It satisfies the user's needs for different types of questions and answers. Various types such as:

Short answer, long answer, radio button, paragraph styles , dropdown menu is very nicely supported.

If you want to create a quiz or other type of assessment with closed-ended questions, Google Forms will auto grades it for you. Turning on just the “ Make this a quiz ", is required which I found flexible as an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The application is overall great as it is created by great and creative minds in Google. If there is one thing I dislike is (very hard to choose) is a dynamic excel sheet. The application allows exporting to an excel format. But if I want to change the format and make it dynamic, as in for a daily check form, the results increase, according to which a percentage is calculated. This I have to do manually, they can add functionality in this application for more detailed usage and not just at a basic level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I once used this tool for an old age community. I am really surprised how it turned up. Because technology is a hard thing, but Google made it sure for all the age groups. That's really a great thing about it. I could easily create forms, teach them how to use them and also document them efficiently with their ready made documentation.

So overall, I will suggest this tool for all age groups, not for a bug firm though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Before google forms came, I had to browse various options online to send any official surveys. In less time, it becomes difficult to find one and in the end, I had to send a word document to answer my questions. With Google forms, this ask became easy to use and even print the form to easily distribute it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

What I like best about Google Forms is the application's ability to cut down on broad and usless group e-mails, where often times a simple question can get lost in a sea of e-mails, going back and forth to come to a simple decision. With Google Forms, I can simply create a short questionnaire to receive feedback on how employees think things are going, see what time works best for people for an upcoming engagement, and even Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

As with most applications, there are always things that can be improved upon. With Google Forms, I'd say the trickiest part is actually creating the form, there are all sorts of options and for those who are slightly technologically disadvantaged, Google forms can become confusing very quickly. Thus the only downside is how un-user friendly it can be for some people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One problem Google Forms solved at my job was actually tracking when people logged in. We used Google Forms for people to log on, fill out the form, and then start working. It was a really good way not only for us to know when people got on, but also for employees to know when to log off, by sending themselves a forms e-mail after filling out said form, they could then look at that e-mail time stamp to know when they got on. This was a big issue at work so you could say this application really helped us out quite a bit in our day to day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like that it is easy to create and share a Google Form even if you're not particularly tech savvy. For multiple choice tests and quizzes, it works without problems. It is easy to see percentages of how people responded if you are doing a survey or to track the most-missed question on a test. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

What I don't like is that Google Forms is extremely sensitive when it comes to written response questions, even down to capitalization and punctuation, so I wouldn't recommend it to a teacher who writes written response questions in their tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are templates that may be helpful for teachers who want to create online tests, quizzes, and worksheets for students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have used Google Forms as a Spanish tutor at my college to figure out which tutoring time(s) worked best for the greatest number of people as well as get a basic diagnostic of what I would need to spend the most time on in tutoring sessions by looking at the percentage breakdowns for each question. What do you like best?

The best thing about Google Forms is simplicity. The part where there is the need to make the form is very much user-friendly. There are myriad options to choose from while setting a form. Next, the filling part is a piece of cake. The forms are equally accessible and hassle-free to fill from smartphones, making them very mobile. The sharing model is also simple, with only sharing the URL, and the form can be filled in any browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Recently, I had made a google sheet for my project. The only issue I faced was the inability to make custom-graphical representation for the 'Summary' tab responses. Although it allows exporting data, I would love to have that feature here to totally neglect to go to sheets to make a custom-graphical representation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Google forms are elementary to create and distribute. If there is any problem, there are many videos on YouTube you can refer to for advanced features. However, basic forms are elementary and fun to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I recently took a survey of doctors regarding a medical device as I made some changes to the existing design and was looking for their viewpoint. In this case, Google Form came very handily to collect the responses across the globe.

In this time of the pandemic, the benefit of google form is as an efficient mode of collection of viewpoints regarding any opinion. I have always felt Google Form to be a potent tool that can be used to collect information from a large population base in a simple fashion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
