"Effortless Audience Engagement and Seamless Presentations"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

I like that Mentimeter makes audience interaction feel effortless, even with groups that are normally quiet or hesitant. The live results update quickly and smoothly, which helps keep people engaged without derailing the flow of a presentation. I also appreciate how little setup it requires—most of the time I can build a poll or word cloud in a few minutes and trust it will work without glitches. The design templates look clean by default, so I rarely have to spend time adjusting formatting. Another small but helpful detail is that participants don’t need to create accounts or jump through extra steps; they just enter the code and respond. Overall, it’s one of the few tools that consistently improves the energy in meetings rather than adding friction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

The biggest drawback for me is the limited customization once you want to go beyond the default templates. It’s great for simple polls, but if you want more control over layout, transitions, or branding, the options feel a bit constrained. I’ve also noticed that switching between slides with heavy animations or large word clouds can lag on older devices. Another minor frustration is that advanced features are spread across different pricing tiers, so it can be hard to know which plan actually fits your needs until you’ve used it for a while. Finally, exporting results works, but the formatting sometimes needs cleanup before sharing with stakeholders. None of these are deal-breakers, but they’re things I’ve had to work around. "Effortless Audience Engagement with Mentimeter"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter makes it much easier to engage audiences during presentations. It enables participants to give immediate feedback or responses in an enjoyable and interactive manner. The platform is highly user-friendly, so creating polls, quizzes, and surveys is straightforward and doesn’t require any technical expertise. I find it particularly useful for workshops, lectures, and team meetings, as it helps presenters maintain audience engagement and encourages active participation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

While Mentimeter is a great tool overall, some of its advanced features—like detailed analytics or custom branding—are only available on higher-tier paid plans, which might be limiting for smaller teams or educators. Additionally, it requires a stable internet connection for both presenters and participants, which can sometimes be a challenge in certain environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Participation and Instant Feedback"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter simplifies the process of engaging audiences during presentations. It allows participants to provide instant feedback or responses in a fun and interactive way. The platform is extremely user-friendly, making it easy to create polls, quizzes, and surveys without any technical hassle. It’s especially effective for workshops, lectures, and team meetings, helping presenters keep their audience engaged and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter is an excellent tool overall, but some of its more advanced features, such as in-depth analytics and custom branding, are restricted to higher-tier paid plans. This limitation could be a drawback for smaller teams or educators. Another consideration is that both presenters and participants need a reliable internet connection, which can occasionally be problematic in some settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Interactive Presentations, But Needs Smarter Quizzes and More In-Person Engagement"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

How easy it is to set up interactive presentations. It helps a lot teaching in higher education, as with big lecture halls we can gage how students are feeling, there knowledge and how well they are doing at tasks live. I also use it to gain feedback from big cohorts as the sliding scales are really quick for them to full out. It great how easy it is for people to sue without having to sign up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

I don't like that it discourages some in-person interactions and tends to keep people focused on their phones or screens. It would be better if there were more features designed to encourage conversations either before or after using the app. Additionally, the quiz functionality feels limited. For example, if someone doesn't enter the exact correct value, the system can't recognize it as correct, even if the answer is only off by a space or a slight rounding difference. A more intelligent feature that can identify roughly correct responses in free text would be a significant improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Engaging Live Participation, Needs YouTube and ChatGPT Integration"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

Everyone can join from their phone or laptop, and the responses appear live on the projector, making it feel like a real-time competition where everyone wants to win. The customer support is excellent, and the platform’s ease of use and implementation really stand out, it’s quick to set up, simple to manage, and easy to handle questions and answers without any technical hassle. The frequency of use is high because it’s genuinely engaging and fun to use, not just for one-off sessions but regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

It would be even better if it offered YouTube video integration for interactive questions and allowed users to drag or copy questions directly from ChatGPT into Mentimeter for a faster setup experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No More Boring Lectures: Keeping Students Focused & Engaged with Mentimeter"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

I really enjoy using Mentimeter in my classes because it makes students genuinely engage with the material. The platform lets me add GIFs, music, and fun, hands-on questions that keep everyone interested. The competitive part—where students can see who gets first place—always brings great energy to the room.

It’s super easy to implement in the classroom, and I actually use it at least once a week. It also integrates really well with Canvas, which makes setup and grading simple. The customer support team has been very helpful whenever I’ve had tech questions.

My favorite feature so far is the AI tool—it saves me so much time when creating interactive activities and quizzes.

Overall, it’s a fun, reliable, and creative tool that keeps students actively involved and makes class time more dynamic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

The only downside is that occasionally some students experience minor tech issues when running Mentimeter on their devices. It doesn’t happen often, but it has come up a few times in my classes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Interactive Presentations with Metimeter—Customization Could Be Better"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

I find it convenient and easy to use. It is simple for the presenters and participants to join and interact without technical hurdles.

Also, the features like Q & A, world clouds, quizzes... make the presentations interactive and boost participation and attention. The real-time feedback allows the presenters to gauge the understanding on the spot, and Metimeter works on any device via browser or app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

The tool has limited customization and basic visualization options, which makes some charts appear less polished. Additionally, using the tool can be frustrating if the internet connection is poor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using Mentimeter in the classroom - engaging and fun for students"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

I like that Mentimeter allows a mix of visual and verbal media. For example, if I use it to ask a question, I can also include a relevant image that prompts reflection, or a funny gif to engage the audience on a personal level and alleviate tension. The features are easy to use; creating a Menti presentation takes a few minutes. Presenting it live is self-paced, which means we take as little or as long as necessary.

I use Mentimeter in my role as a university lecturer. In practical workshops, we use Menti to quiz students on previous materials and check their understanding. In such cases, the fact it's anonymous creates a safe space for students to answer without fear of reprisal. Meanwhile, the "leaderboard" brings in an element of friendly competition, which, coupled with anonymity, can engage the class on a deeper level than passive listening.

However, my favourite way to use Mentimeter is for polling student opinions during large-room lectures. In these settings, students don't often speak in class as they feel "on the spot" and it can be intimidating speaking up in front of dozens or hundreds of others. Using Menti quizzes allows me to give students an anonymous, safe voice. Asking "How are you doing today?" and grouping answers in a word cloud helps start the conversation in an easy-going, accessible way and makes the lecture hall less intimidating. In short, it helps students connect to each other and to me, by humanising the experience. Then, using open-ended questions and rating scales allows me to prompt the students' own opinions and insight, which involves them in the learning process.

In the past, students reported that using a quiz was more engaging than passive listening, especially to break a long lecture session. At best, it makes the audience an active participant in the content, and at worst, it provides feedback on the audience's reactions. For that reason, it's very useful. What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

The one downside of Mentimeter (or my own use of it) is that I haven't figured out how to incorporate it directly into Powerpoint presentations, without having to log in in a separate window, switch screens and present from there. In a presentation, that might mean changing presenter view, recording multiple screens, and it's generally a bit of a hassle. It does not prevent me from using Menti effectively, but it required a brief periof of adjustment and trouble-shooting presentations. As a result, it took me a while to get used to Mentimeter and get comfortable with it. What would help alleviate this issue is more sign-posting on how to integrate Menti with other software (for those, like me, who are a bit clutzy when switching task modes). "Mentimeter has improved Engagement in my classes"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter is an outstanding tool for creating interactive presentations that truly engage students. It offers a wide range of activity types, such as multiple-choice polls, open-ended questions, ranking exercises, and word clouds, that can be seamlessly embedded into your slides to encourage participation and real-time feedback. One of its most impressive recent updates is the integration with Google Slides, which makes it easy to enhance existing presentations without extra effort. The platform is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing both educators and students to interact effortlessly through any device. With its visually appealing live results and dynamic features, Mentimeter transforms traditional lectures into interactive experiences that students consistently enjoy and find motivating. "Great for Participation and Evaluation—Needs Better PowerPoint Integration"
What do you like best about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter is an outstanding tool for enhancing classroom engagement and interaction. I especially appreciate its wide range of features like live polls, quizzes, and word clouds, which allow students to participate actively and anonymously. It’s excellent for instant evaluation of students’ understanding and skills, and the brainstorming tools help generate meaningful discussions. The ability to export results and use them for further analysis or documentation is a big plus. It also supports inclusive participation, making it easier to hear from every student, even in large or quiet classes. Overall, it’s a dynamic and effective platform for both teaching and learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentimeter?

Mentimeter could improve its easy integration with PowerPoint—it’s not seamless and doesn’t allow easy copy-paste of text or slides from PPT. Formatting options are limited, and more flexibility in design and layout would make it even better. Adding features like customizable fonts, better slide transitions, and more advanced visual options would enhance its usability for professional presentations.
