"Effective tool for nonprofits"
4/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

QuestionPro has a robust set of question types and other tools for creating surveys. The survey builder is intuitive and fast - less pop-up windows and steps to create and edit questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

The reporting function is also robust - almost to a point where it's not as intuitive for the average user (vs a researcher). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Organization, But Tag Sorting and Formatting Need Work"
3/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

I like that they have folders and that we can tag our reviews. Both make it easier to stay organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

I don't like that you can't sort your tagged comments by the tag. It would be nice to be able to click them and have it filter to the comments by have this tag. It's also an inconvenient system. Sometimes I'll make changes or edits to the style of the text, but then it will reset them and mess up the formatting afterwards. I usually have to make those changes two or three times so that they stick. Also, the themes are unwieldy to create and use.. I'd also like it if the dashboards we share could allow viewers to make their own basic filters so teams don't need to request those from us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Survey Logic, but Rigid Report Exports"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

I like QuestionPro’s logic engine and quota management. I can set up compound skip patterns, pipe answers forward, and cap quotas across demographic groups, and it works reliably. I can combine criteria like age, region, and department with AND/OR rules, then automatically redirect or end responses once a group reaches its target. That helps me keep samples representative, collect clean data, and tailor the survey path for each respondent. I also value the privacy controls and verified anonymous responses, which help our team feel safe sharing honest feedback and give leadership reliable data. The data security, offline mobile data collection, and SPSS exports are useful for our academic and institutional research. I appreciate that QuestionPro integrates with Salesforce and HubSpot to trigger CSAT surveys after customer milestones or closed tickets and send sentiment scores and respondent data back to customer records in real time. Setup was efficient, and the onboarding team made SSO, permissions, and email domains painless to configure. The account manager clarified the backend settings early, which made company-wide adoption seamless. The raw data export options, including SPSS, Excel, and CSV, are excellent. I also like the enterprise-grade survey logic, advanced question types, and sample control without the exorbitant price tag of tools like Qualtrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

I find the built-in presentation-ready report exports rigid, and I sometimes have to make extra formatting adjustments before sharing them. PowerPoint charts often come through as flattened, static images instead of editable charts with linked data, so I can’t easily adjust colors, axis scales, or fonts to match our slide template without rebuilding slides. "Robust Survey Tool with Compliance-Driven Features"
4/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

I really appreciate the combination of the CSV respondent import preview tool and role-based response permissions in QuestionPro, which fit perfectly with our biotech startup’s sensitive data-collection workflows at NovaTrace Biologics. The CSV import preview tool saves me hours of manual data validation by letting me inspect the full contact dataset before launching surveys, so I can quickly spot and fix encoding issues. This is critical because our lists of international clinical and academic collaborators often include accented names and special organizational characters that garble data on most other survey platforms. For our recent pre-clinical partner feedback survey, I imported a CSV containing over 200 global research contacts. The preview panel immediately flagged three rows with problematic special characters from European research institutions. I fixed those entries right away in my source file and re-uploaded. Without this preview, those bad records would have silently failed during import, leaving some overseas collaborators without survey invites and delaying our study feedback collection. This one feature alone cut my manual QA work for that project from roughly 5 hours down to 1.5 hours. Additionally, the role-based access controls are a game-changer for our biotech team. We work with unreleased trial documentation and IP, so data protection is non-negotiable. I can assign segmented permissions for our cross-functional groups: our business development team gets full access to individual survey responses for licensing discussions, lab project managers view study-related feedback, and marketing only sees aggregated, de-identified summaries. Team members cannot view raw respondent contact data or sensitive trial comments unless explicitly granted permission. Before QuestionPro, we shared exported Excel files by email, which created constant risk of accidental data leaks. Now all survey responses stay contained within the platform, helping us meet our internal privacy compliance requirements. The reusable survey template library also stands out as a big workflow win. We maintain locked, approved master questionnaires for partner reviews and licensing inquiries. Our lab project managers can duplicate and tweak these templates independently instead of opening IT tickets every time they need a new survey. This reduced our routine survey-build support requests by more than half, freeing my time to focus on higher priority tasks like managing secure document storage for experimental lab files. These features work together seamlessly, making QuestionPro a stable, secure, and efficient tool to gather feedback from our worldwide research partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

First, the file upload field inside surveys is a major bottleneck. Our clinical collaborators and research partners often need to attach multi-page PDF lab summaries, scanned experimental notes, or supporting trial documentation when they submit their feedback. QuestionPro enforces a fairly low per-file size cap, and multi-document submissions frequently time out during upload. A recent example: when we ran our pre-clinical partner feedback survey, roughly 20% of our overseas collaborators ran into upload failures. They had to compress their documents or upload files to our secure Dropbox Business storage and paste links into the survey text box instead. This inconsistency created messy, non-standard responses. Some partners pasted partial links, others forgot to attach files entirely, and our lab project managers spent extra time following up individually to gather all required research materials. It broke our goal of a streamlined self-submission process for our global collaborator network. Second, the CSV bulk import error messaging is too vague. While QuestionPro’s preview handles most standard accented characters well, some less common special symbols from international research institutions still trigger partial import failures. The system will simply state the import “completed with errors” but does not output a clear list of affected row numbers or tell me exactly which field entry is malformed. I have to manually compare the imported respondent list line by line against my original source CSV to hunt down corrupted records. This adds extra QA hours during tight pre-clinical timelines, when we need to launch partner surveys quickly. Better, specific error logs would cut down this manual auditing work significantly. "Powerful, Flexible Survey Platform for Patient-Centered Research"
5/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

We use QuestionPro to power patient-centered research at OurBrainBank, and it’s been an excellent platform for building complex, user-friendly surveys. The advanced survey logic, branching, multimedia support, and customization options make it easy to create a seamless experience for participants while collecting high-quality data. The reporting and export features also make it straightforward to prepare datasets for scientific analysis. As a nonprofit, the nonprofit program has been incredibly valuable because it gives us access to robust research tools that would otherwise be out of reach, allowing us to focus more of our resources on advancing glioblastoma research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

One area I’d love to see improved is survey migration. It would be helpful if organizations using the nonprofit plan had access to migration tools or a simpler way to import surveys from other platforms. Rebuilding complex surveys manually can take significant time. Aside from that, QuestionPro has been a powerful and flexible platform for our research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Audit-Ready Compliance Surveys and Reporting, but Integrations Feel Limited"
3.5/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

As a Compliance Records Coordinator at a small legal services firm in the US, my daily work centers on confidential document governance, internal compliance auditing, and gathering structured feedback for our firm’s internal process reviews and client service quality checks. Working in legal services, every piece of data we collect has to be traceable, standardized, and fully compliant with privacy rules and bar association requirements. Before using QuestionPro, I relied on basic forms and manual spreadsheets to collect internal audit feedback, staff compliance reviews, and client service input. It was messy, unstructured, and incredibly time-consuming to organize and validate every response. What I love most about QuestionPro is how it lets me build fully customized, audit-ready data collection workflows that fit legal compliance work perfectly, without any complicated setup.

What stands out to me compared to other survey tools is the strict data structuring and response validation features. Legal compliance work cannot have incomplete, inconsistent, or unregulated data. QuestionPro lets me lock required fields, set standardized response formats, and categorize every submission by case type, department, or audit cycle. This level of control ensures every piece of feedback and audit record we collect is uniform, traceable, and ready for internal or external review.

I have a perfect real-world example from our mid-year firm compliance audit. Earlier this year, we needed to conduct a company-wide internal review of confidential document handling procedures across all staff members. The goal was to identify weakpoints in our file archiving, client data storage, and encrypted sharing practices to update our firm’s governance policy. In the past, I would have used generic Google Forms and spent days cleaning up inconsistent answers, missing entries, and uncategorized responses before compiling the audit report.

This time, I built a dedicated compliance audit questionnaire in QuestionPro tailored specifically for legal document management. I added mandatory compliance-focused questions, dropdown categorizations for different document types, and structured rating scales for security protocol adherence. I distributed it firm-wide, collected all staff submissions automatically, and used the built-in reporting tools to instantly spot recurring gaps, like inconsistent file naming protocols and delayed archive logging.

The structured data I pulled directly from QuestionPro allowed me to compile a clean, fully referenced audit report in half the usual time. Every response was timestamped and organized, which made our policy updates far more accurate and credible.

On top of that, I really appreciate its secure data storage and export functionality. Since we handle sensitive legal operational data, I need full control over data retention and file exports. QuestionPro lets me export clean, organized datasets for our official compliance archives while maintaining full privacy standards, which aligns perfectly with our firm’s governance rules and cross-state client data requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

The biggest pain point for our legal team is the rigid and incomplete third-party integration capabilities. Our daily compliance work relies heavily on encrypted Excel audit logs and our internal legal record management system to store, classify, and archive all assessment data long-term. QuestionPro has no reliable automated integration with these essential tools. Unlike professional compliance platforms that support one-click data sync, every survey result, staff attestation record and compliance assessment form has to be manually exported, reformatted, and imported into our internal filing system. Earlier this year, when conducting our quarterly confidential file management compliance assessment, manual data migration caused formatting errors in over thirty survey entries. I had to cross-verify and correct every single record one by one, which took nearly an entire workday and delayed our quarterly compliance filing deadline.

Beyond integrations, the platform’s overall performance is unstable when handling our standardized legal compliance surveys. Most of our firm’s audit questionnaires contain multiple mandatory fields, conditional logic rules, and formal attestation modules to meet bar association record standards. When these multi-page, rule-heavy surveys are in use, the platform often lags during response filtering, data sorting and report generation. At times, saved survey data fails to load properly, and I’ve encountered occasional data caching issues that make it hard to confirm real-time submission statuses. This lack of stability is risky for legal compliance work, as we require 100% accurate, traceable audit records with zero data loss or error.

Lastly, the onboarding resources and customer support are extremely generalized and not adapted for legal and compliance scenarios. All official guides, video tutorials and help center content focus purely on commercial market research and customer satisfaction surveys. There is zero guidance for building compliance attestation forms, setting up audit traceability logs, or configuring privacy-compliant data collection for legal firms. When I needed to set up conditional mandatory fields for staff policy confirmation to meet bar association requirements, I could not find any relevant documentation. I reached out to customer support for help, but the response was generic and failed to provide targeted configuration solutions for legal compliance use cases, forcing me to test settings repeatedly on my own and slowing down our workflow optimization progress. "Great tool with automatic analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

It is easy to use and provides analytics for every survey without having to create them elsewhere. It is offered free for non-profits! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

The free for non-profits used to have very limited barrier to entry. Now, there are a lot of steps, including me forcing connections to other non-profits for them, that are turning me off. I recommend the QuestionPro heavily (to nonprofits and corporations), but I am very turned off by giving my contacts to QP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A True Research Partner with Fast, Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about QuestionPro?

Question Pro has been a great partner for our team. We switched this year after a terrible experience with a competitor (Qualtrics), and it has made a real difference in our research agenda.

With Question Pro, we have easy access to our support team, they respond quickly, and it’s simple to jump on a call when needed. When we need extra help, they promptly run it up the line to confirm what we have access to or what the cost would be. Instead of being constantly sold to or pushed to involve our C-suite executives, we’re able to work as true partners with their team. When something in the UI needs improvement, they pass it along to their engineering team for us.

Overall, they’re truly a partner in our research, which is especially important for our small internal team of two. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuestionPro?

My main frustration with Question Pro is the amount of time it takes to build surveys and then double-check that all the logic is set up correctly within the platform. They’ve recently launched an AI survey builder, which does help speed things up, but it can still feel like a time sink. That said, this isn’t unique to QP—we ran into the same issue with Qualtrics in the past, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
