What do you like best about Podium?

Podium helped bring our small business processes into the modern day. The ability to text with our customers has been hugely helpful. Communication is quick and easy for us AND the customer, which enables both parties to keep the other informed.

The review integration is wonderful also: we've received more review traffic in the month since implementing Podium than we had been in a typical year or longer previously. The system makes it easy for the customer to leave their review without a bunch of extra login steps, which is key in its success, I'm certain.

Even the customers who don't opt to leave a review often call, text, or visit again with another item for which they are shopping as a result of the "would you review us?" nudge. We have a handful of these cases happening in just a month or so of using Podium, and I know we're not even utilizing all of the automations available yet.

What do you dislike about Podium?

One downside of Podium is that I'm significantly more busy with customer inquiries. In general, this is a good problem to have!

In the short term, though, I'm feeling like we could use additional hands on deck to continue providing the same level of quality service to all of our inbound customer communications.

It's a little tougher to maintain the work/life boundary when I see a Podium notification pop up on my days off, but that's an item I'll have to manage and not a fault of the software. What do you like best about Podium?

The best thing about Podium is how it shifts customer communication to SMS, which most customers are already comfortable with. Sending messages, reviews requests, and follow ups through text feels more natural and get quicker responses compared to email. The shared in inbox makes it easy for multiple team members to manage conversations without confusion, and the review request flow is simple for customer to complete. What do you like best about Podium?

How easy it makes customer communication through text messages. Most customers respond much faster to SMS than emails or calls, and Podium centralizes all those conversations in one place. The review request features is also very effective, it's simple to send, and customers don't need to jump through multiple steps to leave a review. The main downside is the pricing. For smaller business, the cost can feel high, especially if you're not using every features regularly. What do you dislike about Podium?

I was lied to during the onboarding about being able to cancel the program easily. They still sent me to collections to collect the full amount of the contract, even after I had issues. Podium doesn't care about small businesses and doesn't take accountability for their actions. Podium didn't solve any problems for my company and caused issues by porting out my main business line without explaining the repercussions, leaving me without a business line for weeks. Customer service was no help; when I tried to resolve the issue on a Saturday, the rep said they didn't work then, and it took two weeks to get tech support. Their terrible customer service and lies were continuous, and the initial setup was absolutely terrible, with no clear explanations. I wouldn't recommend Podium to anyone. What do you like best about Podium?

I appreciate that Podium pulls messages from Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, Webchat, and SMS into one single feed, making it easier to manage communications. The Text-to-Pay feature is fantastic because it allows customers to use Apple Pay or Google Pay securely, which simplifies the 'Accounts Receivable' process. Payments that used to take weeks now often happen in under 3 minutes. It's very easy to set up and sign up, which is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Podium?

What do you like best about Podium?

I like that all of our VoIP goes through Podium, allowing us to screen calls and direct them to the right staff member. It's easier than checking a voicemail, and the messages are even transcribed, which we use every day. The call screening feature is really valuable as it helps us avoid spam calls and focus on actual clients who are interested in our products. I appreciate that the new rollout of call lists and voicemails is a big improvement, and I like that they continue to work on the interface and modify it for our needs. What do you dislike about Podium?

What do you dislike about Podium?

I am really dissatisfied with Podium. They promised that I could cancel if it wasn't a good fit for me, but despite cancelling, they've processed unauthorized charges on my card, which is frustrating and unacceptable. In 6 months they have charged over 6,000 on my card even after changing my card number. I'm also very disappointed with the phone and text services provided by Podium, as both seem to fail at delivering what was promised. Moreover, I found the initial setup to be incredibly difficult and time-consuming. Another major issue is that the sales representatives promise features and capabilities that the service ultimately doesn't deliver on, leading to unmet expectations and unnecessary complications.
