HCP has been awesome for us.  It offers every aspect of what we needed at a fair investment amount.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

Our only dislike on HCP is not being able to build options similar to how we did on a previous software but that's an us thing not an HCP issue

Keeps me and my team organized! From the check lists to the job scheduling and estimates. It has made me a lot of money because of the follow up texts and the promos to leave a review after every job. It helps me be better at customer service! Great cost effective product!

Great scheduling with able to see by the hour, daily weekly and monthly. They have great reporting. They have lots of different options that helps you with your business. Good flat rate program, customer maintenance program, answering service, and so much more.

The reporting can be better, being able to still see in the history that a customer cancel a job

**What problems is Housecall Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering maintenance plans to a customer, offering financing to our customer, able to track our employees hours and location, them being able to see the whole job and get payment from the customer.
Also like how we can select what some field employees can see and do.

I love that everything is easily done with one program.  We can contact our clients and confirm appointments.  We can text them photos, attach sales receipts, collect payments - all really user friendly!!!

The ease of making estimates, emailing them out, rolling them into invoices and getting paid all in one program.  Customer support has been great. The mobile app works just a great to use and communicate with customers. I use this program everyday.

The parts and reseal tracker is nice, but it would be very helpful to be able to have inventory  tracking built within the program

We have been using it for over one year now. Easy to use for the techs in the field and dispacthers; Flexible, and reasonably priced.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

The management is non existent. They are always "in meetings, busy". No accountability. Any issues take forever to resolve. 
If any issues require developers to get involved, you can forget about it. 
Once signed up, you don't count anymore. 
They constanly add on (paid) features but they don't improve anything or fix existing software bugs. 
Customer support available but they can't resolve any issues above their basic knowledge.

It brings everything together and makes a seemless road map for us. Customer support is quick, the number of features we have work, easy to use, ease of intergration,  frequency of use is unlimited.

I like it, dislikes is only because someone doesn't understand the program or haven't made it work for them in there own way.

There a a ton of useful features! I love the Intake forms!

The only downside I have found is that I can't color code Jobs, only Employees or Areas. If I had that capability, it would get 10 stars!

Contacting customers on our way to jobs. It saves time in the office now that the techs can text the customer when they are on their way!

It's lag time on the mobile app and it's inability to upload attachments while performing another task.

**What do you like best about Housecall Pro?**

Compared to other programs, it's extremely user-friendly.  If you get stumped, you can reach out via the blue bubble, or there are plenty of tutorials to walk you through with step-by-step instructions.  Most tutorials have photos, so you know what you're looking for and how to implement it.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

The only downside I have found in using Housecall Pro is their phone app. When assigning a technician, it will send a message to the customer saying I'm the technician rather than the technician I gave the call to.

**What problems is Housecall Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, it helps in every aspect of my job. There are many features available. We use it to keep your customer's information, schedule jobs, communicate with technicians and customers, pricing, billing, take various payments, send invoices and create estimates. The list goes on and on.

I like that HCP has many available integrations and an open API.  This is useful since the program lacks some features.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

The CRM aspect of HCP is not very robust.

**What problems is Housecall Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HCP provides easy access for field techs to have access via mobile app.  The schedule feature works as it should.  The client texting also works well.  Our type of service does not require submitting estimates, so those features sit idle.

Great customer service. I also find the software very easy to use for my office staff and my employees in the field. Of course, we have some growing pains as we have been with software company for several years now, But they have always been great about getting any problem we have corrected with in a timely manor.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

So the problems I have had would be with the Maintenance program feature which is a bit clumsy at the time but have grown leaps and bounds from when the maintenance side started.

We have found that the new phone system Housecall pro has rolled out would be great for my company. But until it can transfer calls it won't work for my company.  Also found when maintenance agreement programs where updated to text and email customers have been a great improvement for my company and the customer who have to use this feature.

**What do you like best about Housecall Pro?**

Not much about the like anymore about this software.  No contract.  That's it.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

Pretty much everything.  I feel this company is in a race to offer quantity over quality.  The software can be difficult to find a good ground of workflow.  The way function is setup can become easily confusing  to both office and field staff.   Many functions that should have been built out in the beginning are missing but told its In the road map as everything in.  Features a re limited in function.  Payfor basic functions + add-ons.  Is beginning to get a heavy feeling g of its competitor, which isn't a good thing.  This is the 2nd time I used this software being told things were much better and getting better was not a true statement.  The good thing is their is no contracts so you can leave anytime with the daunting task of setting up and migrating to a new software. Overall for a company who is serious about their business and a smooth operation, maybe a company with stellar support (signed up for new product with hcp and it hasn't worked since ce it was turned on but hcp is "working" on it)  your never going to find it from my experience.

They are simply solving the same issues other crms solve while creating g other challenges to fill the prior challanges

**What do you like best about Housecall Pro?**

This program works great for a new business and meets most of my needs. There are things I would change for commercial hvac applications but I don't regret my decision.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

I would like to be able to modify the list for property profiles for customers. I would like to be able to toggle viewing of invoices when your in front of the customer getting a signature. I would also like to be able to have checklists per system to record what is found per unit. I would like to also see a spot to save company documents like llc and w9 paperwork that can be accessed and emailed from the app directly.

It helps keep up with my business health and jobs all on the dash board. It also makes it easy for customers to contact you through sms and estimates and proposals are done well for specific customers.

This software has made it so easy to schedule and track work and money. No more lost service tickets and forgotten billing. I can't say enough about how much easier this has made my life. We are a small company and I run the office on my own. This allows me to do things on the fly. Very useful.

Would like it easier to look at the day or week of jobs and know who was on it once completed. If the job is a bill out, and no amount is entered to start, once it is finished there is no way to track that it was actually billed out.

Asking for and receiving Google reviews. We were sending out an email to every customer and asking for reviews but hardly getting any. Now we get a bunch because a link goes right to the customer's phone. Also financing options that I, as the merchant, doesn't have to pay for to offer.

**What do you like best about Housecall Pro?**

The most useful things about Housecall Pro are definitely the scheduling feature, the messaging feature to customers and the expense cards. The messaging feature, I would have to say, is #1. Customers love getting text messages saying we are on our way and finished.

I wouldn't say there are downsides, just features I wish they had. I wish there were multi-day job scheduling because that would be a great help. I would also like to be able to switch the time clock to decimal for a more straightforward payroll application.

It has helped us solve many problems that we had with the last program we were using. The sales tracking has helped us tremendously with seeing the visuals on the dash. It has also sloved our guys on the field being more interactive with their app and uploading the information we need.

I was misled during signup, then when I found out, they strung me along for weeks saying they had a solution to my problem, till finally I found out there was no solution.  Left my previous software and migrated all my data here for nothing. Learned a whole new software for nothing.  Be careful when considering HCP. They will tell you anything to get you signed up and the same when you try to cancel.

It computerized a lot of our processes. Dashboard is pretty helpful. Job history is helpful, as well.

**What do you dislike about Housecall Pro?**

There are so many things that they do wrong. 
Photos: take forever to upload on jobs; they can't be uploaded in the background, causing the whole screen and app to be locked until they're finished. 
Customer Profiles (app): for some reason, you can't copy and paste any information on a customer profile. Examples: can't copy and paste a customers' phone number. Can't copy a customer address to put into a navigation app (for some reason when waze is selected as the navigation app, it doesn't send the correct address to waze, so i have to manually type in the address each time i want to go to a customers address). 
Calendar: A lot of our jobs occur overnight, and the calendar is not suited for this. The entirety of the screen is blocked by these jobs and we can't see the rest of the schedule, making the calendar unusable. We've brought it up to support multiple times and the only "solutions" they have are to use a google or ical calendar in place of it or to create segments for each job, adding more work and confusions for our techs and customers. It's been well over a year since we originally brought it up and they still don't have any other solution, nor do they have any plans to fix it. For a platform that costs thousands of dollars a year, and a main feature is scheduling and the calendar isn't usable, you would think they would work to provide a real solution. 
Customer Success: I've spoken with multiple people from customer success who assured me they would look into it and find a real solution, but they never get back to you or return calls.

Having all the customers online with communication systems is helpful, but in the end housecall causes a lot of problems too.

They had everything a company normal had to pay separate for. It was an all in one CRM and made our company work more efficiently than it ever did. It even works with quickbooks.

**Recommendations to others considering Housecall Pro:**

I would use anyone but them. It helps with dispatching, customer database, reviews, invoices,  estimates, billing the customer and running their credit card and getting same day deposit, texting customer when in route, communicating with quickbooks, allow certain users to have certain access and load job info and pictures. It does more but it doesn't charge a bunch of money to add users like other cRMs.

I can communicate with customers easier and have every conversation on record, than credit cards for same day deposit,  create invoices, estimates and keep pictures or anything about the customer was stored all together.

I like that it's an all in 1 system for our growing company.  From scheduling, to invoices, estimates, credit card swiping, quick  books compatible and easy to use and dispatch along with saving all customer info and all communications between employees to employees and to customer.

we can text customer that we are in route, bill invoice, send estimates and color coat out schedule.  Allow out drivers to leave notes and pictures about the job.  Save all communication of customer Nd their calls and voicemail and workers and office.  Accept payment and review upon completion.  Easy to use.
