We previously had a separate Clover system for card processing and had to do double entry to track card payments. Nextech also allows patients to pay online which both our staff and patients prefer. ### 2. Clinical can do what they need and it automatically links to the revenue cycle. It’s awesome. **What do you dislike about Nextech Practice Management?** There is not much to dislike. If you use it the way it’s intended it will work for you. **Recommendations to others considering Nextech Practice Management:** Use their support if you have questions! They’re incredibly helpful. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** You can run all your reports in here. No need to create your own. ### 4. Pay thousands to NOT get support **Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019 **What do you like best about Nextech Practice Management?** It's a fairly simple system to handle, and there are many different ways of customizing it. **What do you dislike about Nextech Practice Management?** The system is lacking in a lot of basic areas, and the "support" that you pay thousands for annually is virtually NONEXISTENT. We've been using Nextech for 4 years, and it has never improved. Upon first paying and setting up our system, it took 6 MONTHS for their team to figure out how to set up our electronic billing until we finally decided to give up on them and just submit ourselves because we weren't getting paid for those 6 months and couldn't wait any longer. For the entirety of our contract with Nextech, we've never gotten paid for DSHS until very recently, and that was only after several weeks of them blaming our clearing house for the problem, going back and forth with us, and pushing the case onto other representatives until they finally corrected the mistake THEY had made in setting it up in the first place. We've completely given up on having a patient portal because they were never able to get it set up properly. Perhaps the most appalling is that you pay tens of thousands of dollars to purchase and install this EMR system, but if you choose not to pay for a support contract with them, they will SHUT OFF THE ABILITY TO USE MODULES IN THE SYSTEM THAT YOU PAID TO HAVE. We have lost thousands of dollars because of their "service", and they keep you at their mercy by forcing you to pay annually to continue using your system in any way other than basic scheduling. **Recommendations to others considering Nextech Practice Management:** If you intend to work with Nextech, be prepared and able to troubleshoot a lot of issues on your own, and view them primarily as a scheduling system. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have worked with much better systems than Nextech. Other than how fairly customizable the EMR notes can be, I see no particular benefit in working with Nextech over another system. So far, only giant, costly road blocks. ### 5. With proper training, this program is a breeze. ### 6. Many little things you need to remember to perform some tasks **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scheduling appointments, accounting, billing, patient information. It is beneficial because helps our practice stay organized and gives us a complete overview of our appointments and financial status ### 7. I know its medical software but it just seems like there's too much going on. **Recommendations to others considering Nextech Practice Management:** Nextech is huge in the Derm/Med Spa realm for a reason. It is pretty easy to use once you learn your little section, but there's a lot to the system so trying to master it all is near impossible. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using it as an EHR for our medical spa department. The inventory system is helpful. ### 8. WIth Nextech PM, there is an ease of use for our front office in quickly looking at patient appointments, bills, etc. There is also a lot that is customizable for each practice. **What do you dislike about Nextech Practice Management?** There are some minor concerns, but the company does a great job of keeping an open discussion with their clients on how to improve. Tech support can be slow. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Nextech, our office used a separate program for inventory. With Nextech, everything is in one place. Everything can be tracked. Credit cards can be run directly in the program, instead of punching numbers into an external device, reducing errors. ### 9. Nextech is easy to use and has a lot of added benefits such as letter writing and reporting that our old program didn't have. **What do you dislike about Nextech Practice Management?** It can sometimes be quite complex figuring out how to run reports for marketing. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to review and run reports on ROI for marketing. We were unable to do that previously. It has taken a lot of the guess work out for us. ### 10. Also scanning option and EMR **What do you dislike about Nextech Practice Management?** They recently made an upgrade to the system and it changed the look of the schedule but we are working to get it back to what we like. **Recommendations to others considering Nextech Practice Management:** It’s a great program for our practice and we haven’t used everything that it’s capable of. I highly recommend it. I do not know what the price point is but I know it can’t be too pricey since our practice is budget conscious. **What problems is Nextech Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Turning charts to EMR.
