  ### 1. Needs Better Support and Stability

**What do you like best about Sera?**

I used to think Sera was good because it was lightweight and easy to use. I liked that it didn't hang up and it was easy to find stuff. I appreciated the dispatch and calendar schedule features, and it was convenient to move between pages. The mobile app was also a positive aspect for me.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

I'm frustrated with Sera because it hangs up and the tech is slow. They haven't added any new features, and the customer support is unresponsive. I find their data management has issues, the mobile app crashes, and login doesn't always work. The lack of integration support is disappointing too. On top of that, the initial setup was very hard and took 3 months for onboarding. The leadership change seems to have affected its performance negatively.

Sera helps with scheduling, pricing, and dispatch. However, it has issues with technology speed, lacks new features, and has poor customer support. The mobile app crashes, and there are data and login problems.

**What do you like best about Sera?**

We had a demo with Justin from Sera Tech. 

He told us about their company and was one of the most honest and good guys I have ever met. He asked about our company and learned about how we operate and our needs. After he learned about our needs. He was honest and let us know straight out we are not a good fit for his company and actually recommended a couple of other companies that would be an ever better fit for us. 

These guys at this company are the type that put the customers over their own needs and desires. Their customer support is amazing. Highly recommend this company to anyone needing great CRM software.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

There is not anything we could think of that we do not like about the software or company.

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were solving customer relationship management, scheduling, and sales guidance. By sales guidance I mean they would help us with pricing of products, analytics of how we are doing profitability-wise, and customer relationship management.

I like how easy it is to use for my office and my technicians. As a business owner, my favorite part of Sera is that it’s focused on profit margins.

I don’t currently have any complaints. We got onto Sera early and gave feedback and changes have been made based on that.

One downside is that our techs aren't able to view their calls for the days, instead they are only able to view one by one as the day goes by.

**What do you like best about Sera?**

I like the AI capabilties of Sera and how easy it is to check availability and create new accounts for homeowners.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

The least helpful thing about Sera is when you have a lot of unassigned calls. If you do not have another monitor then they stack up on the top making actually looking at the schedule impossible. I usually need to have several tabs open to book a call. It would be nice too if the add customer page could be added as a popup next to the schedule. That way as youre entering in information you can also check the board and set the apt without ever leaving the schedule.

Ease of knowing what techs are qualified for each job through the permissions feature

**What do you like best about Sera?**

I like the ability to let the customers know when you are heading to the job site. They also make it very user friendly and easy to learn. It is very similar to company cam but has a lot more options.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

There is not much, but I don't like how I am unable to see the job summary info until the day of the project. I also wish there was an option to use a card reader instead of manually inputting card numbers.

It helps keeping everything regarding the jobs in one area, including quotes, payments, schedule, location, photos and summary of job. It also solves the issue of having to clock in or find out how long you have been at a specific job.

Sera is pretty easy to learn for new people, it's not hard to figure out.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

It would be easier if you could add more than one technician to a job instead of having to add multiple appointments so you can have more than one go to a job.

It's a pretty friendly user app. It would be more beneficial if Sera worked with the New Flate Rate. That is how we get our pricing and Sera's pricing doesn't reflect our pricing.

You can navigate through Sera pretty easily and it is pretty self explanatory with all the tabs and sections it has. Support for us has always been reponsive pretty quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

A couple of things are there is no photos and documents section for the actual customer or address only per job which can be overwhelming looking for certain pictures. Same goes for some of the notes.

Scheduling and keeping reports and graphs for revenue are key

Downsides: 

can't add multiple techs to job without multiple appointments
revenue being tied to one specific job and having to add to that same job can get muddled
memberships not being automatically added to account when it is sold
multiple seperate accounts cant have the same email
techs cant create their own appointments unless in admin user which is not ideal for on call

Online booking is nice but the smart scheduler if we dont lock an appointment to a technician isn't the best.

The customers portal is something i havent seen before. The fact that it is very easy to navigate and book a call. I caught on to it immediately. Having decent software to run the operation side of the business is crucial. Sera has a simple user friendly interface that allows training and coaching sessions to happen quickly alwhile being efficient. THe Customer Service Sera provides isnt quite like no other

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

Cant move a call on the board without editing the tech and time. The two hour time frames are and can be confusing to our customers.

Slowly Sera is adding in the features its lacking.  Small things such as being able to adjust the call time frame

Dislike: Unable to view a picture without downloading it, unable to apply tags, unable to view notes without going into the job, unable to drag out a call while a tech is on a call.

I belive they're looking into incorporating tags, it'll allow us to better identify our members, canceled/expired member and new/repeat customers

Sera delivers crucial information regarding the customer, job at hand, and previous work performed with minimal interaction and a clean, simple to use interface.

Uploading job site photos can only be completed in batches of around 10 photos. Would be nice to upload all job photos at once.

Sera could do better with providing proposal templates as well as estimating templates.  There is currently not a setting to be able to change item information on the fly.

I love the semiautomatic dispatching and the online scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

I do not like how the user is locked into features that are set up around someone else's ideas of best practices. For example, online scheduling only allows 1hr arrival windows, we offer 2hr windows, a lot of energy was put into the pricebook and different pricing for membershios but the system has no idea the customer membership status so all that effort is null because the pricing is not dynamic, the technician app is only on Apple resulting in new devices needing to be purchased and new IT processes, the purchase orders do not export to quickbooks resulting in double entries if you want to actually track job costing in the program, job costing is not shown and requires manual calculations, there are no input Apis available.

The main reason I chose sera was for the two column estimates which allows the option to show membership pricing vs non-member pricing.

Comprehensive - Manage customer information, quotes, pricing, tech efficiency, and more

Easy - easy to learn, easy to train, easy to use

The software is intuitive, which makes it easy to use.  Integration with external apps is also pretty robust.  The Development team is very receptive to contractor feedback, and constantly update with new features or tweaks.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

PO tracking isn't great.

If new appointments are created off of an existing job ID where you have previously sold, accounting and labor efficiency can get a little wonky as it will add the new items to the existing invoice.  This is a training issue on our end, but fixing it is a little painful (cancel the appt, create a new appt with a new job ID, 50/50 shot if the quotes transfer over, then redo the quotes/signatures if they don't transfer).

Pricebook functionality and flexibility are game changers for me.

SERA systmems is pretty straight forward and easy to implement.    The SERA team provide and execellet customer support through out our integration and still to this day.   SERA has grown and improved leaps and bounds the first year we joined.    Now SERA is rolling out improvements biweekly as they continue to expand their product and as new features are created.   

Our team is using the system daily to manage our results by the date we are able to see in SERA.  

If you are heavy commercial or new construction, SERA is still working the kinks

Program still has opportunity to improve

The information we are tracking has helped us adpat and shift in order to improve.   We have a clearer picture of what is going on from day to day.

I like how easy it is to use in the field. Creating quotes and selling memberships is as easy as it's ever been. Customer support on the admin side is very prompt and helpful every time. Implementing the new system from our old one wasn't too difficult from a field use point of view. All of the techs took to it very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

The thing I dislike most about Sera is the fact you can't upload videos to the jobs. Another little side dislike is that you can't see the address or description of the job you're about to dispatch to before you dispatch to it

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having trouble selling membership programs prior to Sera. After transitioning, the membership sale rate has really gone up.

Quick view KPI's via the dashboard. Technicians are able to view their perfomance daily. 
Significant increase in memberships due to the pricing presentation within Sera.
Pricebook with margin calculations
Support when questions artise are answered quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

Custom bids can be difficult on IPADS when having to change verbiage and pricing to refplect custom jobs. Office staff helps with this for field techs, but it can be cumbersome. (I am comparing this to Housecall Pro)

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the owner, daily KPI's are important for tracking. Sera allows this to be viewed at real time and from anywhere.
Technicians are controlled with their ability to present options and membership sales have increased due to the way it presents to the customer

I love how simple Sera is. Their customer service is top notch. They get back to you instantly with any questions or concerns you may have. They are constantly adding new features to make your everyday business easier. We use this software daily and it was so easy to transfer our old software into Sera. They have an amazing onboarding team!!

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

A few downsides of using Sera, is the integration Call Rail. You are also unable to add videos or customize the text communication. I know these are areas that are being worked on as well.

Simplicity and it is for the business not for the tech.

Our implementation was as smooth as it could get.  We did have a couple hiccups but nothing to stress over.  I love the scheduling and ease of setting up an appointment.  The system is super user friendly.  Sara has always replied back to me in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

I would like to be able to customize reports.  Sometimes there is too much information that is not needed.  Also, would like to see the TO DOs attached to the customer's account.  Would also like another company besides Call Rail integrated.

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not complicated to view.  We used Service Titan before Sera and it was almost "too much" to view.

There is no published roadmap. We don't know if we should invest in developing external (or connected) functionality or not. It would help to have a report writer to develop custom reports.

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling HVAC calls, communicating with customers, tracking performance (operationally and financially), and interacting with other applications via Zapier. The ability to see information from multiple platforms is key. We are able to download reports to spot trends.

The features and benefits align perfectly with our new and growing business! It's designed intuitively and fits our minds eye! They're a fairly new company, but continue to expand their suite of products and services for the HVAC industry.

They have solicited feedback for improvements and options that will integrate within our program in the future. Items which were missed in the initial delivery.

They recently came out with alternative financing options. That helps immensely!

Scheduling is easy. The software is easy to navigate. Reports are quick and easy to download. The membership function works great! Customer support is quick to get back to you, implementation was so much more detailed and helpful than when we were thrown into Service Titan.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

There is no tool to send out a statement to customers, you have to send invoices individually instead of being able to send out a statement with multiple invoices. If a customer wants to pay for multiple invoices you must run them all separately and/or post them to each individual invoice instead of being able to post one large payment to multiple invoices.

Scheduling efficiently and having online payment options and scheduling options is great!

Using Sera has helped keep customers informed about their current repairs and shows them past repairs.  It makes it easy for them to pay for their invoices.  Customer service has been very responsive.  Payment processing works well too.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

The accounting and reporting side is lacking. It makes it hard to get the data we need without running multiple reports and combining them via Excel.  It would be nice to have a report building or a way to do a full data download and then filter out the data that is needed.  Integration with Quickbooks is tricky at times but workable.

It makes it very easy to engage with customers via Sera and keep them updated on repair status.

Sera is extremely easy to use and the training is very simple. Training goes beyond a normal training and the representatives are always there to help you when you need it. Implementation was pretty easy and quick.

The main issue we were having previous to Sera was the lack of keeping control of the appointments and what phase the appointments were in. This helps with accountability of the technicians and their work.

**What do you like best about Sera?**

It has made collecting from customers a lot easier as we can bill onsite. Being able to track a technician's revenue has also been helpful. To be fair this is a new company and they are growing. I will say there are a lot of things that need to change but I can say they are working on it. They take in recommendations and try to apply them to areas if they can. No system is perfect but they are at least willing to listen when you have issues and help if they can.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

Too much clicking. To be able to reschedule a call or even move the time takes a lot of clicking. There are way too many search boxes. It would be nice if you could choose your own settings on what you want to search for. It is very easy to lose calls as they don't roll day to day but I know they are working on this. Integration to QB is painful but they are also working on this as well. Customers being able to schedule their own calls can cause a lot of confusion.

Is really easy to use, the implementation is easy and the techs can understand the system easy.

What I don't like is that is confusing to reschedule an appointment in place or when you haves to come back to continue the same quote the next day. Another important thing that I don't like at all, is that when you are in the tech app you can see the appointments for the next day and that's confusing for the techs. And  it doesn't integrate with Quickbooks.

We look more professional because we book the appointments through the app and our clients feel like we are always in touch with them

Simplicity is key. Keeping technicians focused on one job at a time makes selling (and being profitable) simple. The technical and service support that comes along with SERA is leaps and bounds ahead of any other software provider.

Not quite enough integrations currently. I would like more options for phone integration, like DialPad. As well as an email platform integration, like Hubspot or Constant Contact.

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SERA is solving several issues, but mainly our profit issue. We keep making more money but have less profit to show for it. SERA shows us exactly what we are missing out on, and how to ensure we keep hitting those KPI's. SERA is also solving a technical issue. The ease and simplicity of SERA keeps technicians focused on their current job and not having to worry about what job/headache is to come. Plus, our dispatchers keep all their hair by dealing with less unhappy customers and less unhappy technicians. Less stress, more focus, and more profit!

I love that when the technician picks up a call, Sera automatically notifies the customer that tells them they are on the way. I also like how user-friendly the software is. We went from Google Calendar to Sera, and it was an easy transition.

We have had to adjust how we do our maintenance program internally and that has been an adjustment, but overall Sera is still easy to use. We also with there was a way to make a note next to secondary contact information to know who's number or email it is.

How much time is spend on a job and also money made from each job. Sera is helping us learn how to improve our efficiency when it comes to on-site jobs. It also has helped have everything in one place for our customers.

Limitations on the map.  It would be beneficial if the orange pins changed color when a job is complete, pending, en route, etc., instead of toggling between schedule and map.  Also if you hover over a pin it gives you appointment details: address, name, job description.

Scheduling is a dream for the office team, the techs are still learning and getting used to things. I am hopeful that scheduling will get better and more mobile friendly as the back end is built out.

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

Hard to schedule from a mobile device. Techs aren't able to see call information before they mark that they are in route, they can't reach out to customers if they are running ahead. There is not an ability to schedule recurring appointments.

Scheduling made easier, numbers made easier. Efficiency and holding techs accountable for their time and pricing on jobs. Bids on equipments and parts is much easier and less paperwork.

The team behind sera has been fantastic. Great communication and training, plus they were able to work with us when we got into busy season and just couldn't keep up with onboarding at the same time.

There are a few features that are still lacking, but they seem open to feedback and ready to work on any issues so that Sera can function best for its users.

The Sera system has allowed us to offer memberships with ease. The way its set up they almost sell themselfes. The system is not difficult to run, our new CSR was able to jump right in with no problem.

I wish they had checklists built in that we could create for our diffrenet tasks and for our team to do post check ins on.

I like the information the dashboard provides and the batching process is simple.

I don't like that Sera dose not provide Location specific information. Like the location Name is not shown on the Dashboard. Location phone numbers are not displayed with contact names next to them. THe system is very basic and needs have more options to customize and personalize.

Sara does have good integration when it comes to different reporting and ways to search through different customers.  The ability to easily adjust the pricebook is helpful along with the ability to easily add new technicians

**What do you dislike about Sera?**

The Sera dispatch board is not easy to use at a glance.  There needs to be more integration when it comes to tagging and the ability to adjust blockers on a technician schedule.  Membership features need to be updated based on the address instead of the account, and reports need to be created to show what customers have had various services associated with the membership.

**What problems is Sera solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to more easily track technician revenue based on the types of jobs they are having. Average ticket is a helpful tool to have as well as the number of memberships being sold by our technicians and our office agents.
