**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Digital everything, no paper waste! Ease of use and navigation. The customer friendly aspect with the digital texts/emails make it easy to share transparent information!

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

No way to close specific job lines for flat rate technicians. Would like to be able to communicate with each member of the staff without having to "send" jobs back and forth with notes.

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers love the text/email feature. Being able to see notes/repairs orders in real time. It keeps me available to answer incoming calls for more business.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

#1 has got to be the support! They are super responsive on issues we've had; they also are continuously updating their product, based on users feedback.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

The digital inspection component is not as comprehensive as some competitors. This works out mostly as a positive still for us, though, as it is simple to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

When looking for a repair order/pos system I was considering two parts - 1. The system to invoice customers through and 2. A digital inspection piece of software. Combining these two can be tricky and is ultimately the reason we chose Shop-ware, as these two products are in 1. Much easier to manage in my opinion!

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation is huge, and is MUCH easier when everything is saved digitally in a cloud-based system.

We have increased our recommendations sell % by nearly 20%. 

We have been to more easily track technician productivity, which also helps with critical planning. This influences shop revenue flow, and customers having a timely repair.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware makes it easy to view and understand the workflow in your shop at any time and from any place. No longer do we have to be on-site to know what's happening in our shop in real time. It's a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

The only down-side for our business specifically is that Shop-Ware's built-in labor guide is motor. Motor is incomplete for Euro cars and Sprinter vans. However, you can integrate your Mitchell1 Pro-Demand easily, and that has resolved this complaint from our team.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware is built around a modern shop; they are focused on the customer interaction and constant updates and improvements.  The community of Shop-Ware users is strong and very helpful.  The business seems to be founded and run by shop-owners, and it shows in the details.  The integration with PartsTech makes it a one-stop system.  An entire shop can be run with just this system.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware doesn't have the best digital vehicle inspections.  As a user, you can build from scratch, but I've demoed other systems with a very useful and technician-friendly interface.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

I always like to demo several systems before deciding on which one to go with; Shop-Ware doesn't hide anything, once you get on the platform it's easy to use and navigate even for a first-time user.

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing efficiency across the board by tracking all parts purchased, optimizing the price based on revenue projections, increasing average RO prices and making sure technician hours are tracked accurately.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

I like that I can easily look up a customer's history.  I also like that I can both email and text them information about their cars.   The online billing options are good too.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

There really isn't anything I dislike per say.   Sometimes the system goes down but that is a server side, not software, issue.   I honestly don't have any suggestions for change.

If you have any trouble just look into the support documentation almost all your answers will be there.   If you still have trouble just contact support.

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with customers is the biggest problem solving benefit.    It is also nice that we can see our customers information across all of our shops as sometimes they like to go to different locations.

I like that my team loves it. I love that our clients love it more!  The reporting, analytics, ease of use, constant improvement, and overall experience as a shop and for our clients are several reasons we love Shop-Ware!

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

I would like if our reporting did not include sales tax, but it is one calculation of where I need to be.  Other than that, I love everything about the program.  it just seems to be getting better and more improved which to me is invaluable!

The problem of transparency in the industry that is typically not seen as trustworthy.  Trying to track KPI's and learn about how the business is performing is also a challenge that we are able to overcome with Shop-Ware.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shopware is easy to use, fast loading and presents a professional interface for customers to interact with our garage. It makes my job easier, and provides a level of transparency that other shops in my area cannot match.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

There's not much to dislike. I don't have accounting integration available for my version and lack of a built in CRM to set reminders for service dates. Those are the only major complaints.

I no longer have to transfer technician's notes to present to the customer. this is a major time saver for me. Repair orders are easier to build out once the parts database is populated and the picture and video evidence makes selling repairs a lot easier to customers

Shop-Ware is VERY easy to learn. Very easy to communicate with customers. Great tech support. Makes creating estimates a breeze.

We have a few items we keep sending off to the support team and we have yet to see the improvements.  Need another sync option. Need option to edit calendar. etc..

Very easy to use. support is an email and phone call away, always get to talk to a real person. Communication with customers via Shop-Ware is super easy, customers love the transparency and ability to check the status of their RO.

It's easy to use and easy to access. Also, from a manager's position, it's easy to keep track of the workflow.

I want an option to revert an open Work Order to an Estimate.
The numbers in Reports - Technician Report do not match the numbers in the Analytics - Technician Report Card.
I need  Technicians and advisors seprit or advisors taken out of the Reports - Technician Report.
Add in a Service Clocks tab under Reports.
Add in a delete option for Shift Clocks and Service Clocks.
In Analytics, I want the option to export data to excel.
In Analytics, I want the option to change graphs between line, bar, pie.
In Analytics, I want the option to look at graphs between weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
A search option in the Estimates calendar is needed to find customer's appointments and ROs.
In Analytics - Duration of Service, add in a graph to track "No Status, Checked In, Needs Estimate, Waiting for Approval, Needs Parts Ordered, Waiting for Parts, Work In Queue, Work In Progress, Quality Control, Ready for Pickup, Completed and Contacted, Waiting for Dispatch, Problem, Waiting for Sublet, Needs Scheduled, and Needs Depost Paid".

It is modern and intuitive. It is much easier to use, and teach employees how to use than any other software I've ever tried. I also love that it is cloud based. I can pull things up on my phone from anywhere.

I have no dislikes.  I wish they had a mobile app for the two-way text messaging feature, but hopefully that is coming.

We offer pickup and delivery. For those customers, the online estimate approval and payment is fantastic. No more printing copies and taking credit cards over the phone.

Documenting our findings with graphics/video and data demonstrates competnecy and generates credibility for our operations. Our customers love us for that!

I would love to see them add in a scheduler that integrated with our current app, Full Slate or replaced that app all together,

I can see the business metrics from anywhere and the app helps for complex vehicle problems where problem solving researhc can be documented and serve as a reference, scan data, wiring diagrams etc!

Very easy to use, has excellent training resources, and the response time from the software development team is amazing.  It's almost like they can read my mind as to what needs to be changed and added!

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

We also integrate with 360 Payments and it would be great to be able to have a customer make a parts deposit via text link on an estimate.  A "Favorites" for analytics would be great for organizing often viewed stats and graphs, along with the ability to toggle between bar graph, pie chart, and line graph.

Shop-Ware is constantly evolving in user-friendly ways - no changes ever make the system confusing, only better.

I wish there was a way to make a default markup apply to all the parts on an RO instead of having to manually change each part; hopefully it's coming in a future update release :)

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Shop-Ware being web-based is a total game-changer - I can write a repair order from my phone while standing next to a car in the shop, or check on details from offsite. I was recently talking to my aunt [a customer of our Service Department] during a weekend and couldn't remember when she had her last service done, and I was able to check right then and there. I also love that more than one person can view a repair order at a time: something that was not possible through ADP/CDK and Reynolds. It really shows that Shop-Ware was made by people who have actually worked in Service Departments!

Shop-Ware is extremely user friendly from all aspects: as a service writer, for parts ordering, and for our techs. Customers also love the ability to view recommendations including specific breakdowns, as well as adding notes that stay with the documentation. Being fully digital also saves a lot of paper.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware is very easy to navigate, both as a shop and as a customer. It's also great with building repair/maintenance service estimates.  Almost every customer that navigates their way through their own R.O. finds they can do so with ease and typically has nothing but praise for how amazingly well laid out this system is for supplying them with estimates, and pictures/video attachments of concerns. Additionally, our customers also love the ease in which they can approve or decline estimates, ask questions, and set pick up times.

There are not too many actual things, if any, that I can say I truly dislike about Shop-Ware.

We have always used Shop-Ware here at our facility, even well before I began working here. If I recall correctly, we were among some of the first repair facilities that switched to Shop-Ware when they were introduced to the market.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware is so easy to use. In fact, in the beginning, it was so easy it was hard. We kept trying to make more work for ourselves. Our entire team agrees this platform helps us save time and makes us look good.

The only thing we dislike is the sort feature. We are a large shop with multiple advisors. If you are sorthing yrhough a name of open work orders and someone changes something on any work order the list reorganizes itself.

Prior to Shop-Ware we were with our previous management system for over 20 years. We did a lot of research before making the change. Trust us this is one of the best programs out there. We had the usual pains that come with change, but surprisingly our team caught on quickly, and we were up and running and enjoying the convenience of Shop_Ware before we expected.

Shop-Ware has made it easy for our team to have better follow up with our customers. We can confidently quote on previously recommended work because the parts pricing and labor pricing update in real time.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware is browser-based, so I can access it anywhere! This is super helpful so that I can check the status of things even if I'm out of the office at an appointment or even taking the day to work from home. I don't need to feel guilty about taking a day off of work or even a week for vacation when I know I can check in and help out if needed.

It seems like every time an update is pushed out, the system crashes the next day or there are other features that stop working because a new update was pushed out. This is very frustrating!

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shop-Ware is helping us save the planet! We are essentially 100% paperless after switching to Shop-Ware. We are able to do everything with the use of a desktop computer, laptop, cell phone, or tablet. We no longer have to worry about keeping the technician's paper work orders in the correct orders in racks in the shop because we can switch things up with a simple "click and drag!"

I love the way it integrates with World Pac and other vendors for ease in adding parts to work orders. The work order log makes it easy to see who does what with each ticket, and it is easy to track tech hours to see who has what on their plate next.

I really don't have anything bad to say about Shop-Ware. Even when there is a software failure, they are on it right away and usually let us know about the slight hiccup before we are even aware of it.

Because of the way Shop-Ware works, our technicians, as well as our service advisors, are able to be more efficient with less downtime and less time needed to communicate on work orders to get the jobs done. This means more money for everyone, including our shop.

The ease of communicating with clients is invaluable. We can share notes, photos, videos and clients can check in on their work order whenever they like. It's extremely intuitive and we've never had a "down" period - ShopWare keeps us up and running all day, no hiccups.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

There is very little I dislike - it's mostly annoying little things (like not being able to use the keyboard for 100% of data entry) but doesn't affect the functionality of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Your service advisors and customers will love you for using this software. There is a level of transparency - easy & seamless - to achieve with ShopWare that builds confidence in your work and recommendations. Snap photos of the problems you see, add a recommendation including labor time & parts - and voila! Your customers can see what you see and your service advisor can walk them through anything they don't understand. Customers can even write notes and ask questions, and approve additional work right from their email or text link to their repair order.

Because we do so much custom work, Shop-Ware has made it so helpful to make separate recommendations & estimates for all the options available. This gives our clients time to review the variety of options and to select and approve the services that meet their needs. The transparency and ability to share with our clients the progress on their project has streamlined our business in countless ways.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

The ability to get approval of the text and email has worked out great.  We are able to get a faster approval from the customer, which means we are able to get the work done sooner and do a few more cars per tech.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

We would love the ability to change labor dollars without having to change the tech hours.  The other thing is more than one phone number in the contact screen would be nice and I understand that is something they are also working on.  The last thing would be the parts catalog would be nice if all vendors could be on the same screen so you could easily look at all your vendors and compare price and availability.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Do it!  It will change your shop!  We have also found that a touchscreen laptop with fold-able screen works best at the front counter.

We have only had the system since the beginning of the year, but the one thing is available tech time and efficiency.

Ease of use. The inventory entry system is simple and well thought out. I was worried that transferring my inventory over to the new software.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

I haven't really found an issue that is a deal-breaker. For the price, I think it's the best product on the market.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

If you are considering switching or adding shop management software I'd say Shopware is a great product to consider. I've found it to be easy for an old-timer like myself to understand and the techs really like some of the features.

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizational skills. We are a small shop that was using mid-20th-century tech to keep up with parts and customers. Now we are 100% digital. I've really loved being able to keep a closer eye on the inventory and the shop supply usage. 
  I plan on using the customer database to do a mass mailing later on this year.

The ability to recommend services the customer can approve with a touch of a button on their device.  Instant approval that increases productivity.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

The reporting data is not as user friendly.  Requires filtering raw data that is exported to find numbers needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Beyond the features and benefits of Shop-Ware, you need to acquire tablets for each technician and at least one for up front with Service.  I recommend using iPads.  Get as much detail about data migration prior to making your decision.  Having a consultant or a designated administrator on location before and after going live will help keep operations working as smooth as possible.  Know your support phone numbers and don't be afraid to call for help.  Do not input any canned jobs until after data migration.    Have your accountant or book keeper involved in the trial period,  the reporting and exporting of data is more time consuming until tables and spreadsheets are created to harness the raw data sought for specific metrics.  Watch the training videos, they are very helpful.

Increases transparency with customers which results in immediate sales increase.  Increased customer satisfaction.

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

The stand-out feature for us in Shop-Ware is the customer portal. We love that we are able to communicate all of our notes, with photos and videos, directly to our customers on their smartphones and computers. Furthermore, the ability to attach recommendations to those notes allows us to communicate fully with our customers without having to be on the phone all day. Our customers love it, and it sets us apart as a tech-forward shop.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

The estimator is not useful to us, and its unfortunate that we have to pay for Shop-Key separately because the MOTOR estimator is so lacking.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Try it! It is always a process to change over your shop management system, but alot of the "industry standard" systems are sadly lacking in features that ought to be standard in 2020. You will be amazed at how much more efficient you can be and how much more work you will sell by utilizing the features that Shop-Ware offers.

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shop-Ware has not only increased our productivity by making communication easier throughout the shop and then to our customer, but it has also helped us increase our sales because we are able to keep customers up to date with their current costs throughout the repair process. This takes out the guesswork on their part, and gives us the ability to charge appropriately along the way.

Shop-Ware has really taken estimating to a new level. The ability to search previous jobs to carry them into new estimates is a great time saver. Canned jobs for common tasks like diagnostics help to eliminate those commonly forgotten items. 
 Global search of Customer information really help identify repeat cars.

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

Shop-Ware is not without it's bugs. Parts and Inventory are a work-in-progress. Parts entry on-the-fly isn't possible - they have to have an inventory entry generated.  Integration is available for many common vendors, but isn't always perfect. Customizable pricing matrices are not available. Smart labor multipliers are not available.  Work-arounds are necessary for refunding items.  Payment system integration has limited options. Full logs of customer communications are not yet available.

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

Great value. Significantly less expensive than some of the other options. Shallow learning curve. Intuitive Estimate building. Greatly eases integrating communications into the process.

DIspatching has gotten easier.  Customer communications have gotten easier. Less time is consumed generating estimates and it gets faster with each job closed.

Communication is much improved with customers and everything is in one place, customers get one link for there repair order, Estimates and Chat, instead of a phone call, email pdf, and text, everything is in one place

**What do you like best about Shop-Ware?**

Simple to utilize. Instinctive. Felt well-known from the principal use. Imagined and worked by a real retailer. Gives extremely helpful information initially without running a lot of reports. The confused stuff is inherent so the activity is straightforward. Computerized assessments, in RO photographs and recordings, direct messaging among RO and client are altogether worked in which means I set aside cash by dropping other independent administrations. Cloud based methods I can access from anyplace I have web access and this grows my capacity to serve my clients. Like anything, once in a while there are hiccups or brief times of refreshing or server issues. In any case if there is an issue, they are excessively responsive and handle it as quick as humanly conceivable.

Extraordinary item for managing your clients. I recommend.

This product puts me heads and shoulders over my rivals and permits me the flexability to deal with my shop the manner in which I need as well. Time reserve funds. Better GP the executives. More clear correspondence among shop and client just as between front work area and specialists. This product has developed into a component stuffed all out shop the executives framework. As one of the early adopters our shop has seen the improvement and how quick the advancement group has been including highlights. Anticipating the future and what more comes.

Web-based so we no longer need a server on site. Built in estimating, integration with quick books, dispatching and workflow management, full featured shop management software. Customers love being able to approve work online without phone tag. 

**What do you dislike about Shop-Ware?**

 I would like the pricing displays a little different. I would like to have true menu/package pricing options. Texting abilities are slim. BUT all of these are already being worked on, so not really a big issue just a field that required an entry.  If you have to print an invoice (usually once a week or so) it may winde up being multiple pages. 

**Recommendations to others considering Shop-Ware:**

 If you are looking at shop management software and someone offers to mail you a floppy disk or a cd-rom. Throw it in the trash and contact Shop-Ware. 

**What problems is Shop-Ware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 Shop-Ware was the optimal solution for our shop. The architecture and implementation of the software is state of the art, cloud based technology, the feature's and flow of the system are designed by real shop managers and business owners, the product is stable, the support is top notch. We found nothing else that even comes close. It transformed our workflow in a matter of days. We produce more revenue and have higher customer satisfaction because of Shop-Ware.
