"Essential Debugging Tool That Takes the Guesswork Out of Issue Tracking"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

It is a lifesaver for debugging. When a user reports an issue, I can look up their profile and see their exact "User Flow"—literally the step-by-step actions they took right before things went wrong. It takes the guesswork out of reproducing bugs. It's also great for verifying that people are actually clicking the new buttons I shipped. The integration part is really easy : just add a helper class that calls the Mixpanel SDK, and that's it, The service is now implemented to use by just calling a helper function from all over my application . Mixpanel also handles event syncing flawlessly in case if the device is offline. I use this product daily/frequently to debug my applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

You have to be really strict with how you name events in your code. If you aren't careful, the data gets messy and hard to read. Also, finding a specific user to debug can be annoying if you don't have their unique ID handy; the search function could be a bit smarter. Their Customer support is not that good, very lengthy process of communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Support Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Their focus is exclusively on analytics, unlike Amplitude, which I find too broad. I appreciate having statistical significance displayed directly in the reports. The idea of alerts is also excellent, although unfortunately, they do not function as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The support experience has been terrible. As a paying customer, we've been waiting for two weeks for a response to resolve a critical bug affecting alerts, but have yet to hear back. It feels like they simply don't care, and in the meantime, we're dealing with false positive alerts on a daily basis.

Additionally, there's a significant issue with the user merging feature. Its implementation is far inferior compared to what Amplitude offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Game changer to our Black Friday efforts"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

MixPanel is super simple, flexible and robust. We previously used a very centrailsed approach with Tablaue, where only the data team were able to produce complex reports. The shift to mixpanel proved to be a huge game chnager that helped ys x2.5 on Black Friday. The real time, the decentralised approach so everyone have the abuility tpo create reports, the ease of use - all made our team much more data savvy than before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

After 1 year or so of packing it with our data, we feel some clutter and slowness - but I assume this is part of us needing to become more efficient with our use of data and events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Very versatile product analytics application"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

With this platform, you can monitor events from your application or product almost in real time as users interact with it. The reporting features are robust, and the data visualization tools are highly effective. Pretty easy to use. One of the standout benefits is the ability to create funnels, enabling you to track user engagement and other important metrics as people use your application. Additionally, you can manage multiple servers there and attach properties to events, which helps you analyze how events with specific properties perform throughout the entire flow. Also I had faced a problem with some events not showing up the customer support helped me and resolved my issue quickly after I mailed them. I sometimes use it more than twice a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

For someone new to Mixpanel, it can be a bit complicated to use at first. The platform offers a wide range of features, which may feel overwhelming. I also think there should be more support documents and materials available to help users learn more quickly. Additionally, it can be quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI, Powerful Integrations"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I like the UI for building reports on the fly and the ability to integrate tons of tools. Usually, building the right reports helps us through A/B testing, and understanding user behavior based on certain segments, even comparisons, are great tools when debating our products with different stakeholders. The ability to export cohorts to marketing tools has greatly improved our product-marketing efforts, as well as event dumping into our data warehouse to correlate product growth with other business KPIs. The initial setup of Mixpanel was super easy, which is one of the key aspects I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Might be me, but the User Flows took me a while to figure it out, and in some products it is still difficult to set up and get value for it, despite on paper being a super powerful feature. Another key aspect I think can be improved is Board management, especially on deleted or guest accounts. They're overall difficult to manage and audit when changes to the lexicon happen. We usually rely on emojis in the title and other 'hacks' to ensure a board is up-to-date and worth reading. Lexicon events remaps, although dangerous, might be a powerful feature for data admins. The feature that helps us understand metric deviations is hidden when it should be a core feature for any insight report or board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Features, But Mobile Interface Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I love managing different events, cohorts, and the ability to create and share customized dashboards. This allows me to leverage exactly the information I need. Mixpanel really meets the needs well, where other solutions had missing features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

There are two aspects that I find problematic with Mixpanel. First, when I look at the charts by week or by day, the data for the current period is displayed with dotted lines. Although this is relatively clear, it gives the impression that it is a projection, and as a result, we often see that at the end of the day, it is in free fall, which can be misleading since the day is not over. It is not always very clear. Secondly, the mobile interface really needs improvement. Accessing Mixpanel on a mobile is very complicated, it works very poorly, and it is not visually appealing. A better mobile interface would be a huge plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Product Analytics Solution"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I love how easy it is to stratify data in Mixpanel. It feels like the platform was built for people who want to quickly slice, filter, and compare without needing a dedicated analyst. The UI makes it simple to drill down into different cohorts or behaviors, and I can get from a big-picture view to granular insights in just a few clicks.

What stands out most is how flexible the tool is—you can track user flows, retention curves, and funnels, all while customizing reports to answer the exact question you’re trying to solve. It’s powerful without being overwhelming.

For me, Mixpanel has become less of a “reporting tool” and more of a daily decision-making companion. It helps me validate assumptions, spot friction points, and actually act on data rather than just collecting it.

If I had one critique, it would be that the learning curve for advanced features is a little steeper—but the payoff is worth it once you get comfortable.

Overall, Mixpanel makes it easy to transform raw numbers into clear stories that drive product and business strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

What I dislike about Mixpanel is that while the core experience is smooth, some of the deeper features feel harder to unlock without a fair amount of trial and error. The learning curve can be steep when you want to go beyond the basics, and sometimes I spend more time figuring out the right query structure than actually analyzing the results.

I’ve also noticed that navigating between reports can feel a little clunky—you can build powerful dashboards, but drilling into specific details sometimes takes more clicks than it should. And while the platform is great at visualizing trends, exporting or sharing those insights with stakeholders who don’t use Mixpanel isn’t always as seamless as I’d like.

Lastly, the pricing tiers can make it tough to scale—once you cross into higher usage, the costs add up quickly, which makes you second-guess how much data you’re sending in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"There's no modern product management without Mixpanel"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I’ve been using Mixpanel throughout my entire career in product management (6+ years), and to me, data-driven product management equals Mixpanel.

Without it, I wouldn’t be able to confidently ship serious features - nor truly understand what’s happening in production. I rely on Mixpanel to gather user feedback, monitor overall product health, identify patterns, debug stuff, and recruit users for qualitative research.

I use it almost every day. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and clearly built by people who understand what product managers and researchers need.

I’ve implemented Mixpanel across two companies, four products, and several side projects and I plan to continue championing it in future roles as well.

Also, the recent redesign was excellent - cleaner, faster, and a real step forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Honestly, not much. I’ve tried multiple other product analytics tools (Amplitude, Smartlook, Heap, Pendo, etc.), and Mixpanel consistently comes out on top.

The only improvement I’d love to see is a smoother way to view and track sequences of events in a user’s activity feed. Right now, it can feel a bit clunky to open each event one by one just to check properties and piece together context. Having a more streamlined timeline view would make this process much easier, but I don't have a ready solution in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Six years in and it's become part of my standard dev workflow"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

After six years using Mixpanel across everything from side projects to enterprise apps, what keeps me coming back is how effortless the integration is. You're literally up and running with a few lines of code - no complex setup, no wrestling with documentation for hours. The interface strikes this perfect balance where non-technical teammates can dig into the data without getting lost, but I can still build complex funnels and cohort analyses when needed. It's become such a standard part of my workflow that setting up Mixpanel is now on my new project checklist right alongside initializing git. That kind of seamless adoption is rare in analytics tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Honestly, their advanced use case documentation could be better. Sometimes I end up figuring things out through trial and error instead of clear examples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Daily Dashboard for Product Insights"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel is like my daily newspaper for product usage updates. It’s incredibly easy to implement, and creating boards and reports takes just minutes. The UI feels intuitive, and I can quickly explore any data point or statistic without friction. Exporting data works seamlessly, which makes it easy to share insights across teams. The funnel analysis features make it simple to uncover user behavior patterns, and the dashboards are customizable enough to fit both quick checks and deep dives. I haven’t interacted with their support team very often, but the few times I did (two or three times), they were responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The mobile experience isn’t as strong as the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
