The UI is intuitive, the speed of queries is excellent, and features like breakdowns, filters, and user journey mapping help us make fast, data-informed decisions. While the interface is generally user-friendly, there’s a learning curve to fully utilize features like custom events, formulas, and advanced cohort logic. What problems is Mixpanel solving and how is that benefiting you? Mixpanel solves the problem of not knowing how users truly engage with our product. It gives us a clear, event-level view of user behavior, helping us answer questions like: Where are users dropping off? Which features drive retention? What actions lead to conversion? Before Mixpanel, we relied on basic metrics. Now, we can segment users, analyze funnels, and measure retention and engagement in real-time—without needing a data team. We have been using Mixpanel for a couple of years. I like the simplicity and the ease of understanding the data, creating different kinds of dashboards, and all. With recent changes in the pricing which makes it event-based, it created an issue like it forces us to think which event to fire always. Our development cycle is involved, so we moved to Amplitude which is based on user-based pricing. Though Amplitude's UI/UX isn't that great as Mixpanel, but we don't have any choices. To us, like we used to use it for analytics - we used to use it for figuring out what our users are doing, understanding each touchpoints, creating internal dashboards, and all which we don't want to create via our own database.
