I really appreciate Mixpanel's focus on providing deep insights into user behavior and engagement. The platform’s analytics are very intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to track key metrics, visualize trends, and understand user flows without extensive technical knowledge. Its event-based tracking system is particularly helpful in pinpointing where users might be dropping off or where they’re most engaged. The ability to create custom funnels and cohort analyses allows us to dig into specific user segments and make data-driven decisions with ease. Overall, Mixpanel is a powerful tool for anyone looking to improve product performance through actionable insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the downsides of Mixpanel is that it can be challenging to integrate with other platforms in our tech stack. While Mixpanel’s analytics capabilities are strong, creating a seamless data flow between Mixpanel and other tools often requires technical expertise and can be a bit cumbersome. I find mixpanel a very intuitive and scaleable product experience. It can used as simply or as complex as the use case sees fit.
This makes it a relatively low barrier for usage.
Mixpanel is critical for measuring the impact of our experimentation framework and provides a lot of great insights into our work and where to go next Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find a few of the report types a little confusing and unituitive. For example, the funnel report can give different starting values to the same event in a metric report. I've discussed with Mixpanel support and they were able to help me but it would be good if product helped with this a bit better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuitive, easy to use and powerful features. In my role I use mixpanel very frequently. I have also reached out to the customer support and have had very meaningful exchanges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the mixpanel documentation can be a bit lacking. Further, I would love some more statistical models implemented directly in mixpanel when analyzing A/B test for example.
Moreover, the group analytics -- whilst being really good overall -- is lacking some features (experiment application, lookup tables, etc.) which hinder my workflow somewhat.
I'd also like the ability to multi-select boards for deletion in the sidenav on the left. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform provides detailed analytics, which allows us to track user behavior and make informed decisions.
The interface is intuitive and makes it easy to navigate and extract valuable insights.
The ease of implementation is another strong point. Setting up Mixpanel was straightforward and quick.
The customer support is exceptional, responsive, knowledgeable and quick.
Additionally, Mixpanel has a startup plan (eligible startups get their first year free)! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Mixpanel offers a rich array of features, the sheer number of them can sometimes be overwhelming, especially for new users. It can take some time to fully grasp all the functionalities and leverage them effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was quite easy to open an account and get SOME data in there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support is non existant, same from sales - added several requests to meet or get support but heard back nothing. There also needs to be no way to create reports based on company data, everything is based on the user which essentialy makes the product useless for our busniess. It doesn't make sense that this would be the case, so most likely I just dont know how to find it. But due to the lack of support, I guess I'll never know. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mixpanel dashboards are open play to design the reports and data metrics as per the use case. Often used report formats are easily available. Your creativity is your limit. Implementation for mixpanel is straightforward to picked up by tech/product team once the schema is clear.
It can be easily integrated across platformss & out of the box integration partner list keeps growing. If done right it would most used tool in the day for the teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For product managers, it's a powerful tool and is easy to use with even a little analytics experience. One year in - it already become a key tool for the product team.
Customer Support at Mixpanel is wonderful, especially as a power user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our experience of implementation is that you need to give it time.
Each project is different. Ours, we understood, was more complicated than most. We had iterations of understanding how to set up the project in a way that would count the users correctly. Also, like other tools, there's an issue of "waiting for the data". Let's say there's a new event we need to add, a new property, or something was developed incorrectly. Now, to get the data, we wait for a release cycle and a couple of weeks to collect data before we can start analyzing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's incredibly intuitive and easy to learn. Within minutes we were able to set up meaningful events and easily track our customers journey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Without proper SE's, it can be hard to properly track. With the right team behind you, this isn't an issue though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to quickly analyze data
Responsiveness
Lot's of features and options, power users can thrive with the options allowed (I consider myself one in my company) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1.
The worst issue: Difficult to handle non-time reports (e.g. x-axis is some segment and not a timeline)
If this will be fixed, we'll be much more motivated to abandon Looker and move solely to Mixpanel
2.
I suggest allowing global filters for selected reports within a dashboard. This would enable changing the filter value to update only relevant reports, without manually saving each one.

For example, when creating a dashboard for an A/B test, some reports may include pre-test data while others contain actual test data.
At present, I need to set a global filter on the dashboard and then manually enter each report to tap "save" for the relevant reports, subsequently canceling the global filter. This process is time-consuming and could be streamlined significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mixpanel is easy to set up if your product already has a structured event-based track. It can get data from a data warehouse, through integrations with other software, or directly from your product, implemented with the SDK.
Once you get the data in, gaining insights from it is even easier. Even non-technical personnel can make dashboards and effortlessly cross events with different cohorts. Its templates make it painless to get from 0 to one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mixpanel is only a medium. You need to do your homework and get a deep understanding of your user behaviors, what actions they do on your product, and structure it into events to Mixpanel to be able to track it correctly.
The learning curve of this process is steep, which is not directly related to the tool, but it does not make it easier and you might see yourself over-dependent on developer resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
