What do you dislike about Gong?

If I had to pick a downside, it can feel a bit heavy at times. There’s a lot of data and features, which is powerful, but it can be overwhelming for new users and takes some ramp-up to use really well. Gong has become my absolute favorite tool for maintaining a pulse on our entire pipeline without having to attend every single call. I love the Activity timeline in the Deals view, its incredibly helpful to see a visual map of touchpoints, like those for Acme Ltd so I can instantly tell if a deal is heating up or cooling down. What I like best about Gong is the visibility it gives into sales conversations. Being able to review calls, see key moments, and understand what actually happened in a deal is incredibly valuable. The UI can also feel a bit busy, especially when jumping between calls, deals, and insights. Gong is incredibly helpful by transcribing and analyzing sales calls that help me extract insights from users and help inform design decisions. i dislike how it marks a call as listened when i haven't listened to the full call. if i close out of a call before finishing it and go back to the home page, it makes me think i've listened to the call. sometimes the ai summaries are also inaccurate and makes me think it isn't reliable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I love how it easily integrates into Zoom and it records the meetings and automatically sends the recording to my email. I like how simple it is to add to a meeting, as well as all the features available when I'm visiting the recording like looking at AI generated recaps and summaries and transcriptions and such. It's difficult to say that I dislike anything, but I do wish the app offered more proactive coaching. For example, it would be helpful if the app could say something like, "Our research shows the ideal number of questions to ask on a first call is x, but you asked y. Try using these more impactful questions so you can ask fewer overall." Maybe this feature already exists, but if not, it would make the experience even better. I like the ability to take Gong calls and compile them into a cloud project. It allows me to determine and run searches on what most of our ideal customers are experiencing, including their origins and the legacy ERP systems they're migrating from. This helps me understand their industry pain points and those related to their current software, which makes it possible to tailor messaging for outreach to other potential leads and prospects in the same industry. Gong also makes it valuable to compile data from companies across different industries and legacy ERP systems. It helps me figure out a consensus on the struggles most companies have, whether with business processes or solutions they're using. What do you like best about Gong?

I find Gong extremely user-friendly, which is really important for me. I love how it integrates well with all of our systems through the Gong Everywhere extension. The call recording with AI note-taking and automating follow-ups are made so easy. What do you dislike about Gong?

I've noticed some bugs with Gong Everywhere, particularly if I have multiple Salesforce tabs open. Sometimes the icon will appear in one Salesforce tab and not another, which is irritating. I could be user error, but I'm a person who has several accounts on Salesforce open at a time and would like Gong Everywhere to work for all of them, but I'm noticing sometimes it doesn't. What do you like best about Gong?

I use Gong for all of our call recordings and it provides incredible insight from our sales calls. The AI features are really powerful, much stronger than Outreach's Kaia product. Gong makes it easy to search for keywords, ask questions, and get valuable summaries of calls, which helps in drafting follow-up emails and planning the best next steps. What do you dislike about Gong?
