What do you like best about WorkTango?
As the administrator of WorkTango and a Senior HR Systems Specialist, I’ve really enjoyed how this platform has elevated employee engagement within our company. The tools are intuitive, user-friendly, and constantly improving — I’ve noticed frequent updates and new features that make it easier to manage and customize experiences for different user groups.
One of the things I value most is how much more interaction and participation we’ve seen from employees since using WorkTango. Whether it’s surveys, recognition, or feedback tools, it’s helped us build a stronger feedback culture. The survey tools specifically have given us deep insights into how our teams feel, what’s working, and what needs attention — which is incredibly helpful for strategic decisions.
What truly sets WorkTango apart, though, is the 100% confidentiality it guarantees in surveys. That has created a lot of trust and peace of mind among our employees, and as a result, they feel more comfortable being honest, which makes the feedback more valuable and actionable.
From an admin perspective, I also appreciate how easy it was to implement, the responsive customer support, and how well it integrates with our HRIS (BambooHR) — which has reduced a lot of manual work. The platform includes a solid number of features, and we use many of them regularly, from surveys to recognition campaigns.
Also, WorkTango has become part of our regular routines — we use it frequently throughout the year, not just for engagement surveys but also for continuous feedback collection and employee recognition.

What do you dislike about WorkTango?
There are a few areas that could use some improvement. For example, while the dashboards are visually complete, the reporting section could be more customizable — sometimes we need data in a very specific format that’s not possible to configure directly from the platform. It would be great to have more flexible reporting tools or templates.
Additionally, although WorkTango is integrated with BambooHR, updates from Bamboo take longer than expected to reflect in WorkTango. This delay occasionally creates confusion, especially during periods of high employee movement (onboarding/offboarding).
Another issue we’ve encountered is around gift card redemptions. Many users mistakenly think they’ll receive a physical card, and we get a lot of questions about it. The instructions could definitely be improved to make that process more clear from the start.
Lastly, we’ve occasionally received invoices with very little context, which makes it difficult to understand what the charge is for. It would be helpful to include a clear explanation of the reason for the invoice, the amount, and how it’s being calculated, especially when it comes to user-based charges or proration.
