"Secure, Centralised Collaboration with Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is how it centralises document management and collaboration in one secure platform. It makes sharing files and working on documents with multiple team members seamless, while maintaining version control and access permissions. The integration with Microsoft 365 apps, like Teams and Outlook, is very convenient and helps streamline workflows. I also appreciate its flexibility — it can be customised to support different teams, projects, and business processes, making it a powerful tool for both collaboration and knowledge management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One drawback of Microsoft SharePoint is that it can feel complex and unintuitive for new users, especially when navigating document libraries or setting up sites. Customisation is powerful but often requires significant time or technical knowledge, which can be a barrier for smaller teams without dedicated support. Search functionality can also be inconsistent at times, making it harder to quickly find the right files. Overall, while it’s very capable, there can be a learning curve and some setup effort to get the most out of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure File Storage and Organization, Sharing Can Be Tedious, Microsoft you can do better."
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

SharePoint has become my day-to-day place to store and organize files for my IT inventory and database. I feel secure keeping my working files on SharePoint, although there’s still room for improvement. Overall, it does the job it was designed for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

The “Share” feature in SharePoint is my biggest issue. Sharing information between users inside or outside your organization can be tedious. I also dislike that, even though it’s an excellent repository for your files, it still has a rough learning curve if you want to get the best out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is its ability to centralize documents, team collections, and business content in a single platform. What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One downside of Microsoft SharePoint is that it can have a steep learning curve, especially for new users and administrators. Setting up and managing permissions, site structure, and customizations can become complex, particularly in large organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized, Reliable Documentation Hub with Strong Versioning and Lifecycle Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

As a technical writer i like most about microsoft sharepoint is that it provides centraalized and reliable source for team owned documentation. I also appreciate sharepoint's versioning and lifecycle management. Having built in version history helps to ensure that everyone is working on the latest approved content while still keepinga record of past changes. It is really important for documentation that goes through reviews and approvals.

It is designed for shared ownership, not individual files like one drive. It makes the well suited for long term documentation such as user guides, policies, release features, and project deliverables that need multiple contributors. Stability and reliability for the long documentation is reallyup to the mark. While it may not feel as lightweight as local editor but it performs well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Performance can vary depending on network condition which can interrupt focus when working with large files or long version histories. As a writers perspective, it is not very author friendly. It works as repository, but for active writing, reviewing or restructuring documentation the experience feels less intuitive compared to other documentation tools.

I also noticed that copilot responses are often high level and generic when working with large and structured documentation libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Document Management and Seamless Microsoft 365 Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is the way it centralizes documents and information for teams. It makes it straightforward to store, organize, and share files in a structured, consistent way, with version history and permissions already built in. Its integration with Microsoft 365 apps like Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive also makes it easier for people to collaborate on the same documents in real time and access them from anywhere. Overall, it helps keep everyone aligned and cuts down on time spent searching for the most up-to-date version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I dislike about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can feel quite complex and unintuitive for new users. Managing sites, permissions, and navigation often takes a lot of configuration, and if the structure isn’t set up properly from the start, it becomes hard to find information later on. In my experience, this can lead to duplicate content and confusion about which document or site is actually the most up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about SharePoint is how easy it makes it to store, organise, and share documents in one central place. What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

It can feel a bit slow and clunky at times, especially when navigating large document libraries. The interface isn’t always very intuitive, and finding specific files or setting up permissions can get confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SharePoint: easy to use, secure, and with excellent support"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

The ease of use for users, for me as a developer the ease of being able to edit and connect to other systems, and above all the security and cost per license for each team member, the user assistance when I have needed it has been excellent, and despite the large amount of information, SharePoint flows quite well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

I feel that by now I should have included better AI-powered tools for better management of the entire platform and use of the information contained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Document Management and Team Collaboration in One Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

We use it extensively to store and manage key integration artifacts, including business requirement documents (BRDs), mapping files, and design specifications for our integration processes. It’s particularly helpful for maintaining well-structured folders across different integration flows—such as Customer Master, Orders, and Billing—which makes it easy to find historical documents, compare versions, and quickly access the latest updates when needed.

Another major advantage is using it as a knowledge repository. We keep meeting recordings, transcripts, and shared documentation in one place, which helps a lot during troubleshooting and also makes onboarding new team members much smoother.

The version control and collaboration features are also very practical. Multiple team members can work on the same documents, track changes, and stay aligned without losing context. Overall, it has significantly improved our organization, traceability, and day-to-day team productivity across integration workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

I don’t have any major dislikes about Microsoft SharePoint. It works well for our needs when it comes to managing documents, recordings, and integration-related files, and it has been reliable overall. I also find it easy to use for our day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Document Sharing"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

We can be in documents at the same time. We don't have to wait for a coworker to close then before we can get into it and make edits. We can share documents easily and you can search for what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Since you can store so much, some times I have trouble remembering where a particular file is saved. I was not apart of the integration or pricing to speak on that piece. I really don't have any negatives, this works very nicely for organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Value of SharePoint in My Daily Workflow"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I use SharePoint for storing documents for my team. We can seamlessly collaborate. I also love that it's web-based and can be accessed from anywhere. There are different security levels which gives me a high level of trust that's it's secure and my files and folders are secure as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

I dislike the fact that I'm able to move a file to the top of a list without it creating a huge folder. It can be confusing first starting out until you get the hang of it. The permissions can also be a tad bit tricky because they're so powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
