Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users most consistently praise SharePoint's centralized document management and its seamless Microsoft 365 integration, which let teams store, share, and co-edit files in one place while keeping everyone on the latest version. Reviewers value the strong version control, secure access, and smooth collaboration across Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. The most common drawback is a steep learning curve, with setup, permissions, and navigation feeling complex for new users.

"Helpful Platform for Team Collaboration & Document Organization"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

SharePoint has been extremely helpful for keeping documents, onboarding materials, client records, and internal resources organized across our healthcare staffing team. I especially like how easy it is to securely share files, collaborate with team members remotely, and maintain version control without constantly emailing updated documents back and forth. It has helped streamline communication and improve overall workflow efficiency between departments, especially when managing multiple healthcare clients, credentialing files, and operational processes simultaneously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One challenge with SharePoint is that the platform can feel overwhelming at first, especially for users who are not very familiar with Microsoft’s ecosystem. File permissions, navigation, and folder structures can sometimes become confusing if sites are not organized properly. There can also be occasional syncing delays or issues between SharePoint and OneDrive, particularly when multiple users are editing documents at the same time. "Easy Subsite Setup with Improved Layouts and Ready-to-Use Templates"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I’m able to create various subsites for different stakeholders. It’s very easy to set them up, and they’ve improved a lot of the layouts while also providing ready-to-use templates. Overall, this has been great for our internal communications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

There’s still no way to create a truly dynamic site yet. SharePoint also has a lot of limitations when it comes to building pages—especially adding photos and using different font types. Overall, it feels very basic, almost like a website made back in the early ’90s. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Centralized Storage for M365 Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It helps me organize everything into folders across different SharePoint sites, and it feels like a separate storage system. In my case, it’s where all the data is stored; from there, Power Automate and Power Apps can pull the necessary files and use them for automation.

It also makes it easier for me to connect to multiple SharePoint sites, which simplifies my automation work overall. The UI is helpful and easy to navigate. For each SharePoint site, we can assign roles and permissions to users based on their functionality and designation, which makes access management straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

It’s hard to manage permissions, and customization is a bit difficult. Maintenance is required as well. In some cases, files can’t be updated at the same time; when I modify them, it takes a short while to refresh. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized work with Microsoft SharePoint"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is that it offers a centralized, well-organized platform for managing documents and information across teams. It keeps important files—such as reports, configurations, and SOPs—in one place with solid version control, which helps avoid confusion about the latest version and reduces duplicate documents. As a result, collaboration feels much smoother because multiple users can access files, edit them, and track changes efficiently. I also appreciate its seamless integration with tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Outlook, which boosts productivity by bringing communication, reporting, and workflow processes together within a single ecosystem. Overall, SharePoint helps maintain organization, improves transparency, and supports better coordination across departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I dislike about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can sometimes feel a bit complex for new users, and the navigation isn’t always very intuitive at first. Performance can also be a little slow in poor network conditions, which affects quick access to documents. In addition, searching for files can occasionally be inconsistent, especially when proper naming or organization isn’t followed. That said, once you become more familiar with it and use a more structured approach, these challenges are manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Convenient, and Customizable—A Step Up from Access"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It’s easier to use than Access, and it’s convenient and customizable. It makes it simple to find a list of items. You can create different lists and then narrow those lists down in a way that makes sense to you. It also makes it easier for older people who grew up using Access to find the information they’re looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

The most challenging part for me has been attempting to integrate an Excel workbook, as I can only import one tab at a time. Additionally, it is necessary for the fields in SharePoint to match those in Excel, which adds another layer of difficulty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Single Pane of Glass for Communication, Collaboration, Automation and Digitization"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

A single pane of glass for communication and collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Native SharePoint workflows used to be very useful and convenient. Now Microsoft has shifted to Power Automate and other Power Platform tools, which you have to pay for. We used to be able to do much more with the native SharePoint workflows without any additional cost, but now it’s essentially the same capability under a new name—Power Automate—and you’re expected to pay for it. It feels like Microsoft started charging for something that was previously native to SharePoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Faster, Easier Access to Files with SharePoint—Especially in the Browser"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I think Microsoft Sharepoint is easier to use than using the shared drives on the organizations computers. I find that being able to open share point via both program and browser gives you two options to access, in case something is faulty. I personally like that I can open share point in the web browser and find the interface easier and the performance is faster to use than using the microsoft apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

I do not like that the Microsoft Sharepoint homepage is hard to navigate to. I also dont like how you have to be an owner in a group sharepoint in order to edit documents uploaded to a group sharepoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy File Sharing and Real-Time Collaboration Across Our Organization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It’s very easy to download files and share them across our organization. When I need to access something for training purposes, or to learn how to format specific communications or writing, anyone can highlight the relevant files and I can find them quickly. I can also share files for collaboration with team members who work in other locations or remotely, and I’m able to see their changes in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

To be fair, I don’t like that I don’t have access to everything on SharePoint. Certain files and sections require specific permissions to view, and I sometimes can’t find the information I need because of that. It’s not really a SharePoint problem so much as a security/clearance issue. That said, I can see how this is a positive for organizations, since it helps limit who has access to what. "Microsoft SharePoint Keeps Collaboration Organized and Seamless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like best about Microsoft SharePoint is how it keeps everything organized and accessible in one place, documents, team updates, and workflows, so collaboration feels smooth instead of chaotic. It makes sharing and working on files with others really easy, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem, and helps ensure everyone is always on the same page without endless email threads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I don’t like about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can feel a bit complex and unintuitive, especially for new users, navigation isn’t always straightforward, and finding files can sometimes be frustrating. It can make you feel restrictive if you’re used to simpler or more flexible tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive M365 Collaboration Hub with Seamless Power BI and Teams Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It is a comprehensive collaboration platform that excels as a "single source of truth" through the seamless integration within the M365 ecosystem, particularly Power BI data sources and Teams-based file sharing. It allows for efficient version control as well as advanced permission settings that allow many individuals to edit documents simultaneously without compromising the integrity of the information. It saves me time every day, making it effortless to manage master files and share updates with the team instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

The issue with the OneDrive sync utility is its reliability when dealing with large SharePoint document files. During the synchronisation process, I often encounter sync issues, such as "red X" errors, duplicate files, and conflicts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
