""NetSuit SuiteCommerce is more muddled than it should be""

What do you like best?

By and large, the product is profound and tended to a great deal of our needs. Having front and back end joining has likewise been extraordinary. This is a considerably more undeniable offering than what we were doing previously, however it may be a bit needless excess. In any case, it is empowering us to give a lot more administrations that we wouldn't not have had the option to previously. Backing has likewise been great, as care staff is responsive and, generally, accommodating.

What do you dislike?

The SuiteCommerce Site Builder design is exceptionally obsolete and we've needed to do some convoluted workarounds to make our site responsive and apply SSL security to each page, instead of simply the checkout truck. It is additionally deficient with regards to highlights, for example, picture exhibition, propelled search/sort, search proposals, thing survey, out of stock warning.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

With respect to the dealers - retailers and so on the off chance that they need single point the board for nearly everything and needs to join their deals and backing from different backups over the world they can most likely proceed for it while they should need some talented labor to oversee and keep up the things and for advancement according to online client experience to improve deals and so on. The one stop improvement is being bolstered by NS as they call you and attempt to determine/help any place you believe you need assistance.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The consistent inward working of making the business request from the SuiteCommerce site. At the point when the client presents their request it consequently pulls the stock from the framework and it works continuously. While our old framework we would need to enter the request from a produced email that our site would send once the request was submitted.

"E-commerce solution "

What do you like best?

Checkout Process,Shipping Options,Product Searching and Filtering, Intangible Products, Order Management, Payment Processing, Inventory Management, Admin Access, API's are the best to Customize site,Landing Pages which can be utilized to made custom site pages wherever required. I've been utilizing Netsuite at this present place of employment and have utilized it at somewhere else of business. It is an extraordinary item.

What do you dislike?

I disdain that amid certain procedures, for example, Bin Transfers, in the wake of finishing a container exchange, the page would mistake out.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Ensure all that you need is set up and prepared to go to test before going live. You'll keep running into certain issues later on if every one of your capacities are not set up.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can play out every one of the functionalities like accepting buy arranges in house, site upkeep, mass imports and fares, and detailing. We can run forms a great deal smoother. A key advantage of having SuiteCommerce was the capacity to sell more and have everything consistently go directly into NetSuite occurrence. Also, the Payment handling and Shipping alternatives are progressively possible when we go with the Suitecommerce Advanced which causes it to be more User-Friendly.

"Solution to eCommerce needs"

What do you like best?

Exceptionally adjustable. There are diverse dimensions of controls for various clients. You are likewise ready to change the view that your highlights appear in. This enables each client to set up the stage to their necessities. It's exceptionally simple to transfer records and offer them on the site and through email promoting efforts. Email showcasing efforts are anything but difficult to oversee and setup.

What do you dislike?

You may require some preparation or trying different things with the program before you get settled with adjusting the front end design.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make a point to truly design. Complete a strong pre-execution. Invest the energy to assess and design all the customization you will require. I would very suggest this item for any business who is hoping to enhance their AP/AR proficiency and has representatives who like streamlined obligations.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Capacity to monitor stock progressively. On the off chance that a specific item moves toward becoming sold out, a robotized "out of stock" message shows up. Propelling new items and monitoring UPC codes for every item. We're dealing with our clients and prospects. Everything from their data to what they're keen on and what they've obtained. Oversee SEO related issues for promoting and re-showcasing of things.

"A good cloud based platform"

What do you like best?

A good cloud based tool that helps the interaction between different businesses and also with the customers. It gives you an instant check and balance and also satidfaction and contentment to you consumers. It makes ordering very easy and organized.

What do you dislike?

It is a weird sometimes. Because of that we sometimes get complaints from other businesses and clients that it is sluggish and consists of many error messages once in a while.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This cloud based software is easy to set up. The features are easy to interpret so cool for begineers. The availability of web creators has made it far more cooler and useful. It is very user friendly.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It helps you to link all your business in one profile and handle them carefully. It also assists you in controlling them according to your choice and also keep your clients, consumers and customers happy. Thus it is a good tool for use.

"It's like they gave up on growing..."

What do you like best?

Nothing. Clients like it because it links to their accounting software... It's been with them for over 10 years... and they are in too deep to change.

What do you dislike?

Old school. Ugly Interface. Not user-friendly. And total* lack of support for non-enterprise ($$$) accounts.

* total = none whatsoever. Their support tickets don't even work.

(edit) paid the money for the support. Sill suck! Told us to vote on fixes.

(edit) no easy way to implement SSL (it's standard now, guys!)

(edit) the notification system was changed and messed up how we delegate tasks.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

... If you own warehouses and factories in two different countries. Fair enough. This may be the one for you.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

A long time ago, clients wanted something to link to some accounting and drop-shipping software.

"NetSuite Experience"

What do you like best?

Makes ordering items simple and streamlined. Previously, we were using only email and it was very confusing and unorganized. NetSuite makes it a lot easier to see all your orders as well as their status.

What do you dislike?

Many required fields seem to be unnecessary, and there are some UI preferences that I would have changed. Another addition that would be incredibly useful would be providing shipping or tracking information, so I would know if a package was lost during the process or if it was simply not ordered in the first place.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure the training process is consistent, so everybody knows how it should be used.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Puts all orders in one place, instead of being easy to lose through email. This makes the ordering process much faster, and I don't have to worry about hearing back from our buyers-- I can easily check on NetSuite what step of the process my order is at.

"SuiteCommerce Advanced is Great if Integration is Your Primary Objective"

What do you like best?

SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) does a great job of integrating the front end website with the backend ERP system. The databases is shared and leads to some cool real time syncing abilities. Customer are essentially logging into our ERP system where they can view and create transactions on their own, as well as review and modify their information.

What do you dislike?

The product is fairly clunky. We get constant feedback from shoppers of sluggishness, error messages, and other minor bugs. Our implementation was performed by Netsuite so these issues are not the result of customizations we may have done on our own, but rather from teh software being buggy or the implementation team not doing their job correctly. Competitors like Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce all of offer the same website features SuiteCommerce offers and much more. The availability of web designers and platform experts is far greater with these more popular platforms.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SCA to run our flagship eCommerce store and our customer's "My Account" access.

"Good software transition for our business"

What do you like best?

The UI is very fluid. We like that we can restrict access by roles. We like how most transactions are linked which allows an easy view of transaction movements for inventory and accounting.

What do you dislike?

The amount of customization required to have the software run as desired. We were sold on the software's ability to conform to our needs, but we weren't told how much customization would require a workflow and 3rd party scripting. Also, the native reporting is very limited in comparison to the software we were using. Lastly, NetSuite seems to have put accounting processes at the bottom of the list for overall functionality. As an accountant the movements in NetSuite are quite cumbersome and this area has the least amount of customization available.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure that you have someone in your company that can quickly learn how to customize NetSuite (even better if you have an employee that can work with scripts). Otherwise the 3rd party costs can be very expensive which could potentially affect your processes.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software has drastically improved our inventory/warehouse management. Our previous software was not able to handle the number of transactions and inventory visibility that NetSuite has been able to so far.

"A customizable platform for solving your eCommerice needs"

What do you like best?

I enjoy Netsuite's image and file database. It's very easy to upload files and share them on the website and through email marketing campaigns.

The Netsuite platform is highly customizable. There are different levels of controls for different users. You are also able to change the view that your features show up in. This allows every user to set up the platform to their needs.

Email marketing campaigns are very easy to manage and setup.

What do you dislike?

Some of the more complicated and creative setups require extensive coding. For an inexperienced user, the backend can be a little difficult to navigate.

You may need some training or experimenting with the program before you get comfortable with altering the front end layout.

I also am not happy with their pricing. Every year they seem to raise prices (even on long-term users) and demand more in their contracts. I find it unfair and a little bit un-human that they won't honor their valued custoemrs.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Very robust platform. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with it. Negotiating a good price may be difficult.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Launching new products and keeping track of UPC codes for each product.

Netsuite also has the ability to keep track of inventory in real time. If a particular product becomes sold out, an automated "out of stock" message appears.

"Great Cloud Based Tool for Customer Management"

What do you like best?

It's cloud based, where you don't have to house and maintain your own servers. Convenience as it makes our data accessible to us anywhere there's an internet connection. There's a global search to search for almost any data that you need to find (contact, account, etc...) If the Global search doesn't bring up what you want, there is a search that is more robust that you can use to search for the data you're looking for as well as reports you can set up.

What do you dislike?

The limitation on the customization. There are areas that we would like to track, but the customization for this area that we would like to track and maintain is unavailable, we've had to find work arounds in order to accomplish our goals.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's very convenient and helpful, the support is kind of lacking as whenever we call, there's a language barrier as the support is handled in India (or somewhere near there)

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're managing our customers and prospects. Everything from their information to what they're interested in and what they've purchased. Our previous system we had to use two different database systems for customer info and order info. Now it's one solution.

"Netsuite is smart secure and fast on eCommerce with new technology SCA "

What do you like best?

The SCA modules are purely programmed and efficiently named so as the editing is quick and the modules compilation won't take much time than just saving any file in the system. Further it is purely configurable and we can use custom records to dynamically manage the internal referred elements from the outside without even retouching or recompiling the code modules at all.

What do you dislike?

The help support online is not very sufficient for quick search - as we have to spend more time doing juggling with keyword to get any appropriate result. and further the help/proper documentation for the latest versions like Vinson/Mont Blanc are not readily available and resolving issues over the NS help n support also time consuming.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

As for the traders - retailers etc. if they want single point management for almost everything and wants to unite their sales and support from various subsidiaries across the world they can surely go ahead for it while they must need to have some skilled manpower to manage and maintain the things and for development as per online user experience to improve sales etc. The one stop development is being supported by NS as they call you and try to resolve/assist where ever you feel you need help.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use to manage complete web-flow and internal scripting etc. the manage products details and online presentation for quick sales. Also manage SEO related issues for marketing and re-marketing of things. There is a lot more on NS as managing custom records using scripts JSON and suitelets etc.

"NetSuite has saved us lots of time!"

What do you like best?

We have enjoyed the consolidation of several areas of our non-profit organization into one environment. This has saved us so many hours that used to be spent importing data from various places into our accounting software.

What do you dislike?

There's quite a learning curve, but it's well worth the investment! Programming skills are required to create a web presence which is visually attractive or to customize the features; however, there are many experts which can be hired to assist with these needs. There is a also a great grant process for receiving help with implementation of new features or customization.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are a non-profit, use their excellent grant application process to benefit your organization! It is available through techsoup.org and is well worth pursuing.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our registrations and web sales are immediately in our accounting records and our website is integrated as well. We also eliminated our need for a separate email platform as that is also integrated.

"Netsuite Review"

What do you like best?

Overall, the software is deep and addressed a lot of our needs. Having front and back end integration has also been great. This is a much more full fledged offering than what we were doing before, though it might be a bit overkill. However, it is enabling us to provide many more services that we wouldn't not have been able to before. Support has also been really good, as support staff is responsive and, for the most part, helpful.

What do you dislike?

Updates often break things; there's a need for constant maintenance. Some things will break; it doesn't happen often, but it happens, and can put us in a scramble when it does. Wish the API were faster as well, and there were more hooks available. SiteBuilder is weak.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Use a third party consultant for implementation. In house team is expensive and slow.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previous to this we were using Quickbooks for accounting and management; NS expands our capabilities and allows for greater management especially of inventory that we weren't able to do before. We are now able to manage backorders / pre-orders for our site as well. Also, having one central database for inventory and pricing has saved us a huge amount of man hours compared to our previous system, where we were having to sync inventory on multiple platforms, and pricing needed to be changed in multiple places. We're now able to manage that in one central location, and even have those changes go out to connected sites.

"A solid platform for those with deeper pockets "

What do you like best?

The native integration in netsuite is obviously the best feature.

What do you dislike?

The cost to go to market. It's been very expensive to purchase as well as develop. There aren't enough vendors to choose from, either. Everyone who says they are an expert now only has a few builds under their belt and are learning as they go (and as netsuite rolls out new versions).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If the integration is worth it and you can afford the implementation, go for it. It's much better than trying to use a connector with a 3rd party into netsuite. However, if there's even the slightest thought you might move your back office out of netsuite, then don't use sca. You'll be stuck with a useless platform that will take tons of resources to back out of.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have sites that were built in sitebuilder. Suitecommerce is like driving a Lamborghini after commuting in a Reliant Robin. (Google it).

"Makes integrating with ERP simple, but architecture is outdated and customization is challenging"

What do you like best?

I love that we have an out of the box integration between our eCommerce site and our ERP. We decided to use SuiteCommerce to avoid costly integration and minimize risk of issues caused by system updates down the line.

What do you dislike?

The SuiteCommerce Site Builder architecture is very outdated and we've had to do some complicated workarounds to make our website responsive and apply SSL security to every page, rather than just the checkout cart. It is also lacking features such as image gallery, advanced search/sort, search suggestions, item review, out of stock notification.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

When asking if SuiteCommerce meets certain requirements of yours, be sure to ask if customization is required to meet your requirements or if it meets requirements out of the box.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has taken a lot of manual process out of getting our eCommerce orders out to our warehouse for fulfillment.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Very efficient and quick. easy to install and also easy to understand as the features are attractive and simple. Helps you in keeping contacts with your clients and also keeps your all businesses intact.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"SuiteCommerce Advanced Mont Blanc"

What do you like best?

Not much. However, it can be customized to fit your business needs. For example, you can set up a B2B site and a B2C site. It offers multiple images per product. Adding basic homepage banners is quite simple within the CMS. They are adding the capability to have an SSL certificate.

What do you dislike?

The complexity of the Mont Blanc SPA version is nearly impossible to manage. We are working with the SuiteCommerce success team and it takes the developers weeks to correct what seems like a simple fix. You also must pay for every customization or basic development outside of the original SOW. We had to wait weeks and eventually hire a NS developer to simply change the fax number on our footer. There are not many guides to teach you how to use the Mont Blanc version because there have been so many updates since. The pages load very slowly. The search index has a mind of its own. SEO is a mystery with many different NetSuite experts giving conflicting advice on best practices. The "My Account" center isn't integrated with our customer database in the ERP. The basic template is rather unattractive. DO NOT purchase the basic template without thorough examination of what customizations you may need because what seems like an affordable launch has tripled. Also for a "Quick Start" it took over a year to implement and nearly three years later we are still working with developers to fix very simple errors. Our latest problem of the week, is that the site automatically selects pick up/delivery at checkout and does not allow customers to select another method.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't do it! Go with Magento or anything!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a vast improvement from our SiteBuilder.

"Needs more ways to customize"

What do you like best?

The thing I like best is the ability to create carts and wish lists as a customer and the ease of which you can see your past orders.

What do you dislike?

As I said in my title, the SuiteCommerce bundle needs more ways that you can customize the look and feel without having to get the SuiteCommerce team to do the programming on the back end. There needs to be a more simplistic way to do this.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would consider using an onsite 3rd party team in order to get the full potential and the best initial roll out experience. Using the Vendor Services team we hit delays at every turn and there was a bit of a language barrier as their team is from Uruguay.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The seamless inner working of creating the sales order from the SuiteCommerce site. When the customer submits their order it automatically pulls the inventory from the system and it works in real time. Whereas our old system we would have to input the order from a generated email that our site would send once the order was submitted.

"NetSuit SuiteCommerce is more complicated than it needs to be"

What do you like best?

NetSuit SuiteCommerce is a great tool to centralize PO or ordering.

What do you dislike?

The interface is quite difficult to use. I would say many things could be simplified. Wish I could had a default setting to fill out all the fields instead of entering the same thing every time I place a requisition or PO. For example, the address for the delivery needs to be picked every time for items to be shipped to me.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be ready that the system would have a lot of problems and glitches.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

NetSuit SuiteCommerce is used for generating requisition for my company. Items are grouped and purchased at the same time for discounts.

"Superb Front End Experience"

What do you like best?

The things that are best within SuiteCommerce is the huge customisations that can be made. Just like the NetSuite backend you can fully change anything to suit your business flows and practices.

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike other than it not being able to be upgraded inline with the NetSuite software. I hope at some point they get to somewhere this is able to be done.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would recommend you have the full backing of your financial team as this can be expensive if you don;t have in house developers.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One problem we are solving is that SiteBuilder was a bit outdated and non responsive. So with this new product we have been able to speed our website up and increase our website usage statistics.

"Does not have a lot of options"

What do you like best?

It was nice to have the ease of everything flow through NetSuite. I liked being able to update all my products in one place and not have several different 3rd party connections.

What do you dislike?

It feels like a site from the 90s. We were told we could not use an SSL across our entire site. Only the checkout page would allow SSL. This was going to cause issues with SEO and website ranking. The design was difficult as well. It wasn't a simple thing we could do. It had to be done by a programer who knew their specifics.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We moved away from Suitecommerce due to some of the issues above. It was not worth it and unfortunately cost us a lot of money.

"Customizable"

What do you like best?

There's a lot of customizations available compared to the basic webstore offering. I like that you can make it look like your own and still be part of NetSuite's standard functionality. That way, you don't have to use integration/connected to bring/pull transactions into/from NetSuite.

What do you dislike?

There's a lot of maintenance needed. A single page can be connected to a lot of things, scripts, script library, or file cabinet folder. If you see an issue in a single page, troubleshooting can be tedious. Especially if you are not part of the people who had designed and implemented it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

No integration needed. Uses NetSuite functionalities.

"SuiteCommerce is great, though best suited for medium to large corporations."

What do you like best?

NetSuite and the SuiteCommerce module are fantastic cloud based applications that integrate all aspects of the enterprise. The end to end functionality is incredibly robust and flexible. I love working in NetSuite and in SuiteCommerce, although because my client that uses it is a micro-enterprise, we always struggle with the subscription fees and would love to have the much more robust and modern, out of the box mobile friendly SuiteCommerce Advanced, it is out of our budget. I merely reprogrammed our SuiteCommerce templates for mobile functionality which was a one time cost that saves us money in the long run. If you are going to use NetSuite and SuiteCommerce, definitely go for the Advanced version unless you have a savvy programming staff to make SuiteCommerce look and feel the way you want it to.

What do you dislike?

The cost is too steep for small corporations or small businesses in my opinion given all the free and low cost apps that are available in todays market. For instance, if your revenue is less than $200K to $300 per year, you really need to analyze the numbers closely to make sure you shouldn't just use a customized WordPress site and connect APIs for Email Marketing, SFA, Accounting, Inventory and other systems to achieve what you need in an ecommerce site. SuiteCommerce takes programming skills and tricks to make it look the way you want. The out of the box templates are not that great, so plan on development time to achieve the best results and UI. I wish it was more affordable, particularly SuiteCommerce Advanced. The integration with Google AdWords conversion tracking was not so easy because we were early adopters. Hopefully it is better documented now.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

New functionality and features are always going to show up first in 3rd party integrations. The core functionality is best with SuiteCommerce Advanced and SuiteCommerce itself will seem antiquated to any company without a development team to customize it to your liking.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use all the marketing functionality to track email ROI and web traffic from all our social media sources. The inventory control is fantastic. We can setup great promos and be responsive to sales trends on a short turnaround. The KPIs are great at giving us a full overview of sales, expenses, profit, web stats, cart abandonment, lead generation, customer conversion, campaign performance and more! It has really helped us compete in an extremely competitive market.

"Great platform for small to medium businesses!"

What do you like best?

The various features you get are great. There are a ton of customizations and things you can use in the system. I really like how my dashboard can be taylor-made for me. We have custom records and lists that are really hard to find, but they are all setup on my home dashboard which makes it easy to navigate around.

What do you dislike?

The speed and performance are slow at times but can be better. Some things like the email templating system can be done a bit better. Examples include a better inline editors for developers to write their HTML and JavaScript. Maybe include components to break up Javascript and HTML templates up .

The UI is not extremely pleasing, which complements the UX (the performance). Sometimes it feels very clunky and old. I often misclick several times and submit the form several times by accident. In addition,. it is not mobile-friendly, so I am unable to navigate through it on the phone effectively.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Try it out. It has a lot of features.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Speed and performance in forms and the e-commerce platform are slow which may lead to loss of potential customers. But since the platform is slow diverse it makes up for that and it provides a lot of features that are helpful to the business.

The internal ERP and CRM systems are quite good as it connects the whole business together. I'm able to see information like pricing, inventory, etc....
