"Flexible and Powerful E-commerce Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

What I like best about WooCommerce is its flexibility and customization. I can manage products, orders, payments, and shipping while also adding features through plugins and extensions. Its integration with WordPress gives me more control over the store and makes it easier to adapt the platform as my business needs grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

What I dislike about WooCommerce is that some features require additional plugins, which can make the setup and maintenance more complicated. Managing plugin updates and compatibility can also take extra time. I’d prefer a simpler setup process, more built-in features, and clearer guidance for configuring payments, shipping, and taxes. "Customizable, Easy to Use, but Slows with Plugins"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

I find WooCommerce to be an easy platform to use with all the main features of e-commerce shops, so I don’t need to worry about the specifics of different processes. It allows me to focus on the business mainly. I appreciate that WooCommerce is standard as well as customizable, which allows me to adapt it to local realities, install it in many environments, and settings. It's great that as my needs grow, I can expand its functions with plugins from the marketplace or even develop my own. I like that WooCommerce is popular enough that I can use ready-made plugins and solutions. It's also a plus that I can localize it for a specific country like Georgia and integrate it with local software and solutions. I also liked the fact that when migrating from Magento, it was easy to export and import basic data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

I find WooCommerce kind of slow, especially when I use plugins. It would be good to integrate some basic functionalities in the core system, such as localization (languages), to avoid the usage of slow plugins like WPML. The migration of orders and customers/accounts was not easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"WooCommerce - Boundless Freedom, Heavy Responsibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

What makes WooCommerce so powerful is that it essentially removes the “ceiling” on what you can build. Since it’s an open-source plugin that integrates directly with WordPress, you’re not locked into a rigid, proprietary ecosystem where you have to pay a percentage of every sale or operate by someone else’s rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

WooCommerce offers a lot of freedom, but that flexibility comes with its own set of hidden costs. It’s an incredible tool, yet it’s definitely not a “set-it-and-forget-it” solution—you’ll need to stay involved to keep things running smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Open-Source, Fully Customizable Stores with WordPress Integration and Low Fees"
5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

It’s an open-source platform that allows full customization while giving you complete ownership of your data and code. It enables businesses to build unique, scalable, and cost-effective stores, with seamless WordPress integration, a massive extension ecosystem, and no—or very low—platform-specific transaction fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

The disadvantages of WooCommerce include poor performance and slow speeds, high costs for premium extensions, and a significant maintenance burden, such as plugin conflicts and update-related issues. It tends to require extensive technical management rather than simply offering it, including security, hosting, and database optimization, which can be especially challenging for non-technical users. "Effortless eCommerce Setup with Customization Power"
5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

I use WooCommerce for building ecommerce websites and it makes creating ecom websites easy. I love that product listing just works and payment gateways are available. It's been great and it's free and just works! The easy setup is a big plus, and I appreciate the ability to import products with details, even though we use a third-party plugin for this. It's a great option to have. WooCommerce being open source is amazing and the platform is very customizable. I've found it incredible that, so far, we haven't come across a business need we couldn't find a solution for. With several plugins, it's well coded, and I love that we can create our own solution if needed. It's amazing, we love WooCommerce! It's very plug and play unless you need customizations for specific business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

We use third party import to manage large ecom websites, if I could ask for a feature from woocommerce it would be this.. ability to import product details in bulk with advanced mapping / customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Highly Customizable WooCommerce with a Huge Plugin Ecosystem"
4/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

What I like most about WooCommerce is its flexibility and extensive plugin ecosystem. It gives me complete control over how an online store is built and customized, while integrating seamlessly with WordPress. Some features that stand out to me include easy product and inventory management, support for multiple payment gateways and shipping providers, and the ability to extend functionality with thousands of plugins. Whether I need subscriptions, bookings, SEO tools, or analytics, there's usually an extension available. The feature I find most valuable is its customizability. I can tailor the store to meet specific business requirements without being restricted by a fixed platform. This makes it suitable for everything from small online shops to more complex e-commerce websites. Overall, WooCommerce provides the right balance of flexibility, scalability, and ease of use, allowing businesses to build a store that grows with their needs while maintaining full ownership of their website and data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

While WooCommerce is highly flexible, there are a few areas where I think it could improve. One of the biggest challenges is plugin dependency. Many advanced features require third-party extensions, and managing multiple plugins can sometimes lead to compatibility issues after updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, Plugin Dependency Challenges"
4/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

I like WooCommerce's ease of use and the quick installation process. It was easy to set up, especially for an affiliate site where I didn't need to deal with payment and shipping options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

I don't like the dependency on plugins and the number of plugins needed to get the options I want. Not every plugin is maintained as often as WooCommerce, so sometimes a plugin is outdated or not maintained anymore, and I need to find other options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Non-Profits, But Challenged by Familiarity"
2.5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

I like that WooCommerce enabled me to build a store with customizable plugins. It's valuable for integrating into an existing WordPress site that was relatively sensitive, especially for our needs of having a name your price option for donations. The plugins help us maximize revenue as some donors contribute more than others, which would otherwise not be possible. I appreciate that WooCommerce acts as a consolidated database for logging deliverables, even though most of our premiums are requested via donor box support pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

I think that WooCommerce's market share is lacking behind Shopify. And while it offers many of the same direct features like paying through link and having immediate support for Google and Apple Pay, it just isn't as familiar, a look and feel to the very acclimated Shopify audience out there on the web today. It took quite a while to set up, to be honest. I was building it into a store and into a web page that was not ready for it. I don't know that it was WooCommerce's fault. It took a long time either. Maybe the fact that I had to manually port over hundreds of products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"WooCommerce’s Built-In Features Make Selling Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WooCommerce?

WooCommerce has been around long enough to have a lot of integrated features built into it now, including Paypal payments and abandoned cart recovery tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WooCommerce?

It can be hard to find certain features, but usually quick Google search fixes this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
