What do you like best?

In the years that we've been working with DR, the representatives have been nothing short of supportive. The main reason why I would recommend DR to friends or colleagues is due to the service and expertise received over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

We haven't had the opportunity to fully explore all parts of DR's offering to say that we have a specific dislike. But I would say that DR needs to simplify their offering and value proposition in order to stand out among the sea of competing providers and products. Recommendations to others considering the product:

Think about how DR's business model and service offering will play a complimentary or main part of your ecommerce business and strategy. No technology platform will be a silver bullet. And as with any tool, the effectiveness of the tool depends on the skill of the welder. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

DR helps us be present in countries where we cannot / have not operated ourselves. It is a turnkey solution that I think will be welcomed by many growing brands. They are also great with the providence of offering products across hardware, services, software etc, which is something that we need and their platform have been great to provide.

They are a great bridge for us in our pursuit to go more direct-to-consumer. The benefits realized are incremental sales in countries we would have otherwise not been available in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Digital River's best offering for my business is enabling global sales. We are a growing software company and Digital River enables us to sell to hundreds of countries. They take care of the currency conversion, payment methods, tax and compliance in all of those countries for our checkout which we would not be able to replicate in house and maintain our profit margin. What do you dislike?

Hosted checkout and working with the account teams to have developers overseas make changes. The account team is responsive and tries but way too much gets lost in translation. A giant adult game of telephone. I have to meticulously QA to avoid egregious errors shipping to production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Security policies are great and easy for users to make payments.

Best I like is less fancy screens and more productive payment gateway.

We have 50,000 plus contacts and never heard of issues like performance or payment gateway down for many hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Few years back we had an issue where DR payment gateway was error out and many transactions were failed. Digital river was not able to reprocess those transactions or was not able to provide transaction details.

I hope they have evolved now and have better retry mechanism.

i have seen demo of digital's rivers competitor at dream force conferences and was not able to find any good. DR still is the best ecom tool app available on saas platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my experience working with Digital River, they have always been willing to put in the extra work and time to make sure that everything is running smoothly. What do you like best?

Before using Digital River (DR) we sold ~$100M in software thru licensing & box sales for customers from BtC all the way to FedGov. We knew there was a growing need for a software solution somewhere in the middle, if the potential partner had already done the hard work of having access to all the right software licensing master keys. What do you like best?

Digital River is leading the way when it comes to providing Ecomm solution for digital download and digital right management.

What I like best about DR is the one stop shop solution as the DR team can not only manage ecomm needs but also marketing and payment needs. I did not dislike anything about the solution but would not value Customer Service as much as their other services.

The seamless integration of a non digital river browse solution upto the shopping cart with the checkout of the Digital River Commerce solution as well as the handling and managing of the fulfillment program was very impressive, with minimal impact to the customer experience.
