Navigating the system at times can be unintuitive and challenging. When modifications or updates are necessary, it becomes a complex task that can lead to delays and frustration, particularly because it involves contacting Paylocity, and their response times are not always ideal.

It is easy to follow the payroll process once you get through all the learning videos. I do like the LMS but sometimes I think all the little videos could be better served as one shared training. Also the Nuts and Bolts for Home is a good training source, I just wish the Web training and the mobile training was separate. As an Administrator, there are a lot of parts I can't seem to find complete information on such as Security Roles. I do not understand half of what is in that section, should it be allowed or not, what does it effect, etc. I am working on Scheduling Plus to set it up to actually work for our company, I can't find out how to assign people to a template so not everyone can make changes if it is Public. I really appreciate how user-friendly Paylocity is. Having experience with many different systems, I found Paylocity to be the easiest to pick up, even without any formal training. The general customer support is also excellent. Every Account Rep I have interacted with has been knowledgeable and supportive, and I have never felt like they were talking down to me. Support from the tax group. Responses and Action are delayed and take a lot of follow up.

Example: Paylocity needed TPA/POA for WA SUI and WALI accounts. I've sunmitted the signe forms at least 4 times since June and they are still not set up properly.

Example:The tax specialist we were working with on an issue was out of the office for 2 weeks. Iur ticket just sat there with nor one working on it; no reponse until he returned.

Example: We've submitted several tax related tickets through our Account Manager, but rarely do we receive a proactive follow up. We have to follow up, and sometimes more than once to get a reponse. Paylocity payroll system is a friendly program for staff at many levels. The ease of navigating the system is a reality when it comes to employees new to payroll, not just the accounting department but for employees who check their paycheck information. Ease of implementation was pleasant to work with Paylocity. Customer service Chat is awesome when you are in a bind in the middle of payroll and need help, again helpful for new comers to processing payroll. Reporting is very useful and specializing your own reports is achievable. Integrating previous payroll was another benefit of the reason I moved over to Paylocity on a previous job. Many menus within the employee account, can be time consuming looking for specific information, though it is designed well, just too many tabs to go through when in a rush. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For the most part Paylocity is user friendly and easy to learn the basics. It has a lot of different modules that you can choose from that allows an organization to buy into parts of the system and not others which makes it cost effective. Paylocity service team is ready to take your call when you need assistance but with the new take their AI feature has also made it easy to navigate challenging problems given you step by step instructions. I wish there were more admin controls to to take control of customizing features or take control of users accounts to help trouble shoot issues especially when it comes to onboarding or training a new manger. In the self service portal you are able to see from the user said. I really wish there was a testing environment to play around in when trying to customize Paylocity to work with your organization. I also don't like that you cannot delete in workflows and documents. With the integration of the new Home platform, our employees are able to see all of their data and get their questions answered right from their homepage. The system is also easy for employees to use, including the Time and Labor platform where they track their time.

We like the recruiting module, and both Employee Voice and Performance have been valuable tools to use with our staff. The customer service team is always helpful, especially when I need to do payroll fixes on a short timeline. The main problems we've encountered with Paylocity have involved taxes and spending accounts. I understand that the spending accounts team operates separately and that their system relies on an external site, which tends to cause complications every year during annual enrollment. Over the past year, we've also experienced issues with our out-of-state taxes not being paid, and we only became aware of this when we received notices from those states. I was happy with Paylocity and had no desire to switch. Our new ERP, which was installed in late 2022 called Global Shop Solutions, and it was weak on payroll abilities. We tried to get Paylocity to work with GSS for a year and could not do it. Getting GSS and Paylocity to talk to each other both didn’t happen. I find Paylocity to be an effective tool for processing payroll. The proration feature is particularly useful. The time and labor model is excellent, allowing employees to submit their own time card corrections, which reduces management's back-office workload. Additionally, the payroll processing is straightforward and simple to manage. The system is particularly suitable for organizations with a low to medium employee count. I find the lack of automation in managing time off policies somewhat frustrating. Currently, the process is entirely manual, which is not ideal, especially if our company expands and has a higher employee count. Paylocity should offer more functionality to automate these policies, ensuring that employees have access only to the appropriate time off policies applicable to them. The ease with which I can run payroll. And if there is a mistake, the pre-process register is available immediately, it's easy to read, and it's easy to delete that payroll and start over. I absolutely LOVE Paylocity!!! So glad my company switched from the other payroll system we were using.

I used to stress out so much and I come in on Sunday to run payroll when we had the other system, because it was so difficult and time-consuming to run payroll and fix a mistake that was made you had to start ALL over from the very beginning.
