Deltek has been pushing forward in innovate and iterate on new technology more quickly. I have appreciated increased transparency on what features and changes are on the horizon before those changes are implemented. The customer ideas portal has been successful in letting users express their needs and wants out of Vantagepoint and is a place where users can interact with each other and the Deltek team. Deltek Vantagepoint still has areas that aren't as flexible or adaptable as our team would like along with the areas that require heavy investment to learn and maintain. The AI agent built into Vantagepoint is not useful. From the shortcomings of what it can do, the way it is inconsistent in responses, and to the length of time it takes to get a reply, I find it faster to bypass the AI tool, using the traditional route to get what I need. - A lot of the material in the Learning Hub and help documentation is outdated. Trying to follow the steps is often guesswork as they no longer relate to the current system

- it seems that sharing ideas to the Idea Portal is of no use. There are many great ideas that seem to be simple fixes but have been sitting there for literal years.

- known defects within the system take a long time to be resolved

What I like most about Deltek Vantagepoint is that it keeps project management, accounting, and reporting in one system. It makes it easy to track budgets, time, and performance, helping us stay organized and make better decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint is the limited integrations. It does not sync directly with Gusto, which requires more manual payroll entries. I use Deltek Vantagepoint for project management, especially for scheduling and tracking the progress of projects. It helps me with business development and developing targets. I appreciate how it helps quickly update metrics for our group in real time, allowing us to actively monitor our workload and compare incoming projects to our budget or expectations. I find it great for pulling important project information quickly. Deltek Vantagepoint is user-friendly and very efficient. I also value the project details feature within the hub, where we upload information on every job, as it's where we spend most of our time. It's a trial by error. Sometimes when I'm looking for something, I feel limited in capabilities because Deltek Vantagepoint is still growing, especially with AI. It might be a bit behind other companies as they upgrade their software. Also, human error plays a part because the AI like Dahlia can give back wrong information if incorrect data is inputted. It would be nice if Deltek had a feature where errors can be flagged with color coding or pop-up notes to address issues quickly. That's a limitation I noticed that Deltek doesn't have. I appreciate Deltek Vantagepoint for its continuous improvements and its specific functionality for AEC companies, which has been very beneficial for our projects. I find Deltek Vantagepoint can be slow at times, which affects its efficiency. It's also frustrating that custom-built reports are challenging to create and often require the help of a consultant or an in-house developer. The UI of the product is great and really intuitive. I like the customization features and that I can track my projects in a streamlined manner. I appreciate that the program is fairly easy to implement for new users that we integrate on our teams as well. There is not much I dislike, more that I would love to ADD to the program itself. I would LOVE to be able to clean up the plan and resource views much easier. I like the growth that Deltek Vantagepoint has encountered relative to our production growth. I appreciate the potential for company-wide data in one spot, and I believe that our growth dictated increasing software capabilities.
