How would you rate your experience with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

It is exactly three years since I started using Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. I mainly use it as a nerve center for ticketing management by leveraging Lucid canvas where the board is linked to help-desk tools to ensure I solve customer issues rapidly.
It is pretty easy to offer support through flowcharts and diagrams when I only pull knowledge-base diagram from Lucidchart library sharing it as a view only with customers in queue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest, the issues that I was facing as a new user barely exist since we partnered with external system integration of Lucid which notice issues as soon as they arise and collaborate with vendor tech team to solve them - both Chart & Spark are currently clean. I work as a dietician and also manage my wife’s homeopathy clinic. With just the two of us in the team, Lucid has been invaluable for keeping our daily operations organized and professional. It lets me create clear visuals of patient workflows, diet plans, and treatment records, so I can track each patient’s journey, document remedies, and monitor outcomes efficiently. The ready-to-use templates, browser access, and real-time collaboration make it easy to update and share information instantly, saving time and reducing errors. Setting it up was straightforward, and it now supports both patient care and diet consultation management in our daily routine. I use It Daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lucid has a lot of powerful features, which can feel overwhelming at first. Some clinic-specific integrations and advanced security options are only available in paid plans. Offline use is limited, and very large diagrams can slow the software down. For a small clinic, it takes a short learning period to fully benefit, and occasionally a paid plan is needed to unlock certain advanced features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite across two organizations, but I mainly use it in the Design company since I work remotely. We (team) and stakeholders collaborate together on diagrams to resolve issues that I view after visual assessment of the business processes. Additionally, I am able to assemble a one page “Operations Snapshot” which shows process maps KPI dashboards and roadmaps ; the best thing is that it comes as a view-only link which we share with stakeholders. I have been using Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for close to 6 years from the time it only contained one App (Lucidchart) - the issue is how the vendor has failed to encompass some features such as VC demanding tons of external Apps integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my opinion, the standout feature of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is how it simplifies complex concepts using intuitive diagrams and real-time collaboration. Since it’s cloud-based, teams can collaborate effortlessly from any location. Additionally, its smooth integration with widely used tools such as Slack and Google Drive helps enhance both productivity and team alignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One drawback of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that its advanced features can be intimidating for those new to the platform, requiring a significant investment of time to learn how to use it efficiently. Additionally, some integrations and premium functionalities are restricted to higher-tier subscription plans, which may create difficulties for smaller teams or users working with limited budgets. The best part is how quickly you can get ideas out of your head and into a clear visual that other people can actually work with. Real-time collaboration is smooth, templates make it easy to start fast, and it plays nicely with the tools teams already use (docs, wikis, project tools). It’s great for turning messy processes into something everyone can agree on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some advanced features are a bit hidden until you learn the UI, and very large/complex diagrams can feel slower to edit. Pricing/seats can also get expensive as more teams want access, and permissions/sharing can take a minute to set correctly when you’re working across departments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lucid Collaboration Suite has become one of the most practical “get-aligned-fast” tools in our toolkit. Its biggest value is how quickly it turns cross-functional input into something we can actually act on—especially when we’re coordinating experience, operational, and clinical stakeholders who don’t share the same vocabulary but do share the same goals.
Lucid’s combination of whiteboarding and diagramming makes it easy to move from early discovery (journey mapping, service blueprints, idea capture) into clear, reviewable artifacts (process flows, org/process maps, swimlanes) without switching tools or losing context. The collaboration experience allows for real-time co-creation, comments, and structured templates helping teams contribute even when timelines are tight..
Standardized templates and shared libraries help us keep work aligned to our design standards across teams, while still leaving room for flexible problem-solving. Overall, Lucid is a solid suite for accelerating alignment, improving clarity, and keeping complex work human—especially in a healthcare environment where clarity and coordination are non-negotiable. While Lucid is a strong collaboration platform, it can feel limiting for advanced design and systems work—particularly when compared to more specialized tools for UX design, data visualization, or service blueprinting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lucidchart’s specific libraries for ER (Entity Relationship) diagrams and UML shapes make my technical work look industry-standard. It allows me to visually prove to future employers, "I don't just know the theory of database design; here is the actual schema I built."
I can start in Lucidspark, dumping sticky notes for my film script or brainstorming features for the app. Once those messy ideas solidify, I can instantly switch to Lucidchart to map out the actual logic. I don't need to migrate data. It allows me to go from "Wouldn't it be cool if the app had community events?" to a concrete "User Flow Diagram" in the same ecosystem. I wanted to build my portfolio using tools that are completely free of cost. Lucid is aggressive with its paywall. The 60-object limit on the free plan is frustratingly low; I hit it almost immediately when trying to map a detailed user flow for an App. It forces me to break work into tiny, disconnected documents. LucidChart Gemini AI was easy to learn and create Flowchart Diagrams quickly and without almost any rework. It was fairly easy to play with prompts and get better. The documentation helps I found helped me to use the system. This was my first time using this, and I completed a project in a few hours over two days instead of needing a lot more days by making Flowcharting Diagrams manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I needed to figure out how to make additional prompts without chaining on prior prompts. I had to refresh and put on different Layers. It might be easier if it is clear with a button to end a prompt diagram and start a new one as separate items. Also, need to understand how to rerun a prompt after editing it, so it just redoes the Flowcharting Diagram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lucid makes it incredibly easy to turn complex ideas into clear visuals: flowcharts, process maps, org charts, wireframes, journey maps, all in minutes. It’s especially good at helping teams align quickly around ideas that would be messy in text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main drawback of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that it can feel pricey. It's slightly clunky at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Now Lucid using AI features to create different flow charts and you can even chat with the flow chart. We can edit the flow chart or it can answer questions about your canvas, help generate summaries, and act like a “collaborator” on diagrams/boards. It can also convert text to block diagram which is very advance features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently Lucid has made all features which users required to design any type of flow chart or models design. So as of now I cannot say any feature less. But if they introduce voice features also means even after generating flow chart..user can directly talk with the flow chart instead of type..then it will be very useful.
