These have most Cisco switches features such as PoE, STP, port-security, etc. You can even stack them for redundancy and increase the backplane speed. Regarding OS updates/upgrades, these are great. Meraki takes care of the new releases and even pushes them automatically if you set it up this way. In case of running with issues, Meraki support is always available as long as you have a licensed Meraki device. I work with an MSP, and the use for me is pretty much every day. The MSP portal is easy to navigate with, understand and manage. Plus, integrations can happen. Everything integrates seamlessly with Meraki. If the device is compatible with the Meraki dashboard, then it integrates directly (such as with Cisco Catalyst switches). For monitoring purposes, Meraki has email notification that you can integrate with your ticketing tool o merely to be used for alerting directly on your email account. **What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki MS?** Perhaps, the price and the subscription model can be kind of bugging. Also meraki MS switches have all the common features of switches plus aditional security features and all the advantages that the meraki dashboard offers to you. **What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki MS?** Not to much to dislike about Meraki MS, the only thing I would like Meraki has for their MS devices is the access to CLI, but actually you can make all the configurations you need from the dashboard. **What problems is Cisco Meraki MS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Connect users to the network, connection for Access point and all the end devices. I did a FREE trial test using Meraki MS120 8port POE switch, camera and Access Point. With the testing being outstanding and I was able to keep the hardware regardless. The dashboard is easy to understand, monitor, add additional Meraki devices and manage. So, I made the decision to purchase the MS350 POE switch & MX84 firewall for the Wifi upgrade. The implementation and integration with other devices was extremely easy. This also laid the groundwork for our migration to VOiP using the MS series of switches to power our Cisco phones and other devices. Meraki provides some of the best support in the industry too. If I have a configuration issue or other problems I'd get a "person" on the phone within 2-5 minutes. The engineer or tech that I speak with will guide me until the problem is resolved. I rest easy knowing our network is secure, reliable with the Meraki hardware. **What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki MS?** The only issue I have is the cost & licensing of the Meraki products. But with it you get some of the greatest support and equipment exchange. **What problems is Cisco Meraki MS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've had issues with communicating to other brand routers/firewalls using the VPN tunneling. But the main problem I've found each time is with the remote hardware, not Meraki. The Meraki engineers helped to resolve all the issues and I've learned a lot about the full capabilities of the Meraki MX firewall series. Once you add the MS series devices, you can see everything from power consumption per port, network activity/usage and beyond. ### 5.
